Chapter 2

Zach woke to a blurry vision feeling a sharp pain in his knees he couldn't move them. He struggles to move but notices he was injured badly. He gets hold of a branch of a broken tree and tries to support both knees. He shouts for help but discovers he needs to distance himself from the crashed plane to avoid an explosion. He dragged himself in so much agony then boom!!! was an explosion. He took a long deep breath to relieve himself. Zach takes a look at his environment and discovered it was a thick forest with trees and high mountains and valleys he sighted a cave as the breeze blew with so much wind, he gets a hold of a first aid box that was lying scattered on the floor he hangs the bag holding the branches he could use to support himself as his visions clear up. He heads for the cave he sees 4 feet away. Zach manages to move and make a stop to catch his breath as he makes this painful movement, he continues a few minutes later as the weather gets colder. In the cave, it was warm with insects and cobwebs. He checks the bag and brings out a lighter. He uses one of the branches and dry leaves to make a fire while he checks his legs. The right leg was fractured while the left leg was swollen from the kneecap. Holding the kneecap he tries to move his left leg to move the bone he brasses himself and pulls making a firm scream of pain while at it. Wrapping the wood of two branches side by side on the right leg he uses a bandage to support the legs he blanks out. It's dark all over the cave and the fire runs out as he sleeps off. He heard movement in the cave struggling to get a hold of the lighter did not work. Zack starts to scream as he feels a bite on his right wrist without knowing he was bitten on his right thigh but because of the injury, he could not feel it until that of his wrist. He blanks out only to wake up to a rat on his face. There was a reflection of light, feeling different and powerful. He shifted towards the light and discovered the bite marks on his right thigh and wrist. Trying to move he discovered he could not feel the pain at all he stands and moves through the cave out to the forest. I stumbled out of the cave, disoriented and confused. He looked around and noticed that something felt different. The pain in his legs was gone, and he couldn't explain why. As he took a few tentative steps forward, he realized that he was walking without any support. It was as if his injuries had miraculously healed overnight.

Feeling a mixture of awe and disbelief, Zach decided to explore his surroundings. The forest seemed unfamiliar, with its towering trees and dense vegetation. He wondered how far he was from civilization and if there was any chance of rescue.

As he ventured deeper into the forest, Zach noticed a newfound strength and agility in his movements. He could jump over fallen logs and navigate through thick underbrush with ease. It was as if his body had been transformed, granting him abilities beyond his wildest dreams.

But along with these newfound abilities came a sense of unease. Zach couldn't shake off the feeling that something had changed inside him, something beyond the physical. The bite marks on his thigh and wrist served as a constant reminder of the incident in the cave.

Days turned into weeks, and Zach survived in the wilderness, hunting for food and seeking shelter in the hollows of trees. He embraced his newfound abilities, using them to his advantage. He discovered that he possessed heightened senses, able to hear the slightest rustle of leaves or smell the faintest hint of danger

During his time in the forest, Zach encountered various wildlife, some friendly and others not so much. He learned to communicate with animals, forming an unusual bond with a wise old owl that became his guide and companion.

As Zach continued his solitary journey, he stumbled upon a hidden tribe deep within the forest. The tribe, known as the Kaelin, was known for its mystical connection to nature and its ancient rituals. This was a community whose level of growth and civilization was primitive. They have distinctive tribal marks on their face making them look identical only the ruler has a different hairstyle with lion skin on his left shoulder and a staff. They welcomed Zach, recognizing the change that had taken place within him.

Under the guidance of Kaelin, Zach learned to harness his newfound abilities and understand the true nature of his transformation. He discovered that the bite he had received in the cave was from a rare and powerful creature—a mystical being that bestowed extraordinary powers upon those it bit. Zach was now part of a lineage of individuals with supernatural abilities.

With the help of the Kaelin, Zach honed his skills, learning to control his strength, agility, and heightened senses. He became a protector of the forest, using his powers for the greater good. He was no longer just Zach, the ex-marine looking for a fresh start, but a new being with a purpose.

As the years went by, Zach embraced his new identity as a guardian of the forest. He became a legend among the Kaelin and was known as the Forestwalker—a symbol of hope and protection for both the human and animal inhabitants of the wilderness. He stayed in the forest and tried to create his cabin in the forest. Going through the forest over time he came across a suitcase he opened it and discovered it belonged to a girl named Kimberly. In the suitcase was a journal she was going to run away from school to become a model. She felt it would be a disappointment to her parents when they find out. Her parents wanted her to study medicine. Her dad was a lawyer and her mother was a doctor. She was 19 years old. He kept the journal and promised to visit the family if he ever returned to the city.

And while Zach's past remained a part of him, he had found a new purpose in his transformed life. He continued to explore the depths of the forest, venturing into the unknown, forever connected to the mystical forces that had granted him a second chance at life.
