“How dare you!” Felicia snapped at Alex. “Just who do you think you are?”

The manager immediately intervened. Snapping his fingers, he called for the guards. “Security! Please escort these two out of the restaurant’s premises and ensure they don’t return.”

At once, two female bouncers dressed in buttoned black shirts grabbed Felicia by her arms while another burly bald guard caught hold of Robert.

“I am Felicia Rashford! The CEO of Femme Fatale!” Felicia yelled, trying to wrench free. “You have no idea who you are messing with!”

“Don’t touch my suit. It’s freshly dry-cleaned!” Robert protested.

But the guards didn’t listen to a single one of their pleas and dragged the pair out of the restaurant before kicking them out onto the streets.

Enraged by the mistreatment, Felicia muttered angrily and cursed the manager. She was now convinced that Alex had been secretly dating the young redheaded woman for quite some time.

“I should have known that he already had a backup plan. He must have tricked that woman into dating him and paying for his expenses!” she hissed, seething angrily.  “I am certain that she was the one who paid for the reservation, and he has been using her money to mingle with the elite society.”

Robert nodded like an obedient puppy. “You’re right, Felicia. Alex is nothing more than a trickster and a cheat.”

Felicia glared at the third-floor window of Neon Heights and swore revenge. “I promise this divorce will leave you without even the clothes on your back. I will make sure you have to sell every last drop of your blood and serve me like a slave to compensate me!”

Meanwhile, inside Neon Heights, Alex and Dr. Lucy were escorted to their private room. The manager left the bottle of Chardonnay along with a bouquet of roses on the bedside table and took their leave.

Left alone, Alex quickly drew all the curtains and locked the door from inside.

“Now, tell me. What did you come up with?” he asked.

Dr. Lucy carefully reached into her purse and pulled out a vial filled with a golden liquid that emitted a bright light from within.

“This is the God Serum I was telling you about. I am certain this will reverse your genetic mutations and restore your powers,” she said, filling an auto-injector with the serum. “This is the moment we have been waiting for, master.”

Alex walked closer to her and lifted his head.

Dr. Lucy injected the serum directly into Alex’s neck and slowly pulled back.

As soon as the potent chemical started flowing through Alex’s veins, he felt a sudden surge of power within him. His strength returned, and his eyes flashed like sapphires in the dark.

“I can feel it all coming back to me. You really did it, Lucy!” Alex exclaimed with delight. “I am so proud of you!”

However, just as Alex was starting to relish his strength, his palms suddenly turned cold, and he felt a sudden weakness in his arms. He quickly realized that his powers had only returned partially.

“It’s not working,” he said in an anxious voice. “I was so close this time.”

Dr. Lucy immediately came to his side. “I should have known your powers are too immense to be restored by a single dose of the serum. We will need more of it to fully cleanse your body and reverse the internal mutations.”

“Then get it done,” Alex replied.

“Unfortunately, we don’t have enough components to make more of the serum. The God Serum requires two rare herbs and the pure venmon from a genetically modified Speckled King Cobra.”

Alex sighed with disappointment. “So, all this was just a trailer. Heaven knows how long it will take for you to obtain the components.”

Suddenly, Dr. Lucy remembered that Alex had recently acquired an old business in the city. It was the largest pharmaceutical company and only needed a few changes to be transformed into a modern one.

“We can use the Kronos Tech company’s facilities to grow the herbs in a controlled environment and breed the cobras in a special underground lab,” Dr. Lucy suggested. “That should speed things up considerably.”

Alex understood what she was talking about. Kronos Tech was the pharma company he had acquired just months before the attempt on his life. It was the same company he had been using to support the Richardson family’s cosmetic business by funding their research and experimenting with several anti-aging creams.

“Alright, that sounds like a good plan. Make the necessary arrangements,” Alex approved the idea.

Just then, his phone rang, and another unknown number flashed on his screen. As he picked up the call, an anxious voice pleaded from the other end.

“Hello. Please don’t disconnect. You’re the real Miracle Maker, aren’t you? I have finally managed to find you!” he exclaimed. “Please help me save my father. I will pay any price you demand!”

“How did you get my contact?” he asked. “This one’s a private number.”

“I had to do some digging, but I have my sources, Mr. Verlaine,” the voice replied. “I know you are the only one who can save my father. And I am willing to go to any length to bring you here.”

Alex’s initial thought was to refuse the man since his powers hadn’t returned completely, and his condition was far from stable. But on deeper introspection, he realized that this was a good chance to test his powers.

Even though his strength and vitality hadn’t been restored completely, he was willing to take a chance and see how far he could go before crashing out.

“Are you there, Mr. Verlaine?” the voice questioned from the other end. “Please don’t leave me hanging. I need your help. My father won’t make it through the week without you. We need you, Miracle Maker,” he pleaded.

Alex found himself in a dilemma. Since all his powers hadn’t returned yet, any attempt to treat a critical illness could cause severe complications, but at the same time, this was the best chance he was going to get to test if the serum had really worked.

And even at that time, Holata had been one of the challengers.Thirty-five years ago, a young Holata had smashed his rival’s skull, bashing his face in, and retained his title as the chief of the tribe. Now, Holata was a man in his late fifties, but his eyes still burned with the same fire, and wisdom had only sharpened his shrewd mind.“I accept the challenge,” he declared, marching up to Chayton while holding his shackles up. “Unchain me, brother. Now the Warrior shall decide my fate.”Chayton begrudgingly unshackled Holata, removing the chains from his arms and legs and tossing them away.Takoda nodded in approval and then turned to Alex.“Outsider, do you a

But I will fix my mistake now!”“Stop it, dad!” Nashoba cried from behind.“Shut your lips!” Holata snapped back. “This outsider has ruined my reputation and soiled our family’s legacy. He does not deserve to walk away from this!”“Put that gun down, chief,” Chayton intervened, stepping closer to grab the weapon. But Holata quickly turned the rifle’s barrel toward the hunter and hissed like an angry viper, ready to strike at any moment.“Get back! Do not challenge me, brother. I still wear the crown of the chief of this tribe!”“That is going to change very soon,” Chayton retorted fearlessly. “You cannot fight us all. We know the

Why has he returned then? Since when do thieves return to the home they have robbed?”Infuriated by his own son’s disobedience, Holata fumed and shook with rage.“You dare speak against your own father? Have you really decided to betray your own people to earn praise from an outsider?”“No, dad. I am not trying to win praise. But everyone deserves a chance to defend themselves.
