CHAPTER 15: OUTSIDE WORLD

They had been in the car for about 40-50 minutes. Helyx had fallen asleep.

Styx, out of boredom, had started tapping his fingers rhythmically on the car's hard textured grips.

The rhythm playing in his head was quite complex, with nested tuplets. It was intricate and detailed, actually imitating the music of a group called Paledusk.

Of course, for the police officer driving the car, this was just noise. A noise for psychological torture, of course.

It had no meaning at all, just plain headache-inducing annoyance.

Unfortunately, all the radio channels the officer tried searching to stop this were closed. He wished the government didn't restrict radio broadcasts.

Right now, if he didn't silence this annoying troublemaker by opening up a quick chat, the alternative would be to throw him out of the window.
