CHAPTER 10: THE GREAT BRAHMA

****Mními pov*****

We knelt in awe of the Great Brahma. He was the definition of greatness. He had an aura of authority and supremacy, like a true god. He had a huge white eye in the centre of his face. Striations ran from his crown, around his eyes to his teeth. His teeth was visible but not smiling. He had six horns, three horns on each side. The highest one pointed up and outward, the second curved backwards and the lowest one curved downward and forwards. There were threads hanging from the horns, swinging from one to the other. He had ten arms, five on each side. The first three pair of arms were facing palm up with light orbs in their hands. The fourth pair were together as if to be praying. And the last pair was also facing palm up. He had a robe on, it was glowing. His legs were crossed as he floated in the air. The great Brahma was the most powerful being in the entire universe but he was inactive. For some reason he had no fighting ability, most of his power has left him still we revere him because from him we all were born. He is our Universal source, the way... The Tao.

'My dear ones; fight not', his soothing voice pleaded.

'Sorry, my dearest Father', I spoke. 'We won't dare to upset you on purpose; any who tries such will be severely dealt with'. We all looked in the direction of Perifronisi. He sensed the gaze and clenched his fist even tighter; his rage boiled.

'What is it that bothers my children?'

'There roams a stray child that threatens the way of life', Katapíesi pointed out.

'You mean the way of life you all created for your selfish reasons', Brahma responded. 'I and Michael warned you all not disturb the normal circle of life and live the humans rule this world for it is theirs but you listened not to our warnings.'

All remained silent. The great Brahma was against the killings and oppressing of humans. He believed that we should keep to the shadows and hunt the normal animals; I agree to that as well. He can't stop the others due to him being inactive and the only one who could, Michael, was somehow killed by Perifronisi.

He cleared his throat before continuing, 'And now you come to seek guidance and help from me after killing my beloved one. I shalt not help but I shalt stop neither. You're all free to make your decisions but also you're all mature and responsible enough to bear the consequences on thine own'.

He was blunt as usual but the painful truth is better than the sweet lie.

'Mními; I thought that you were also against human oppression...', he said as his index finger from his right third pair of arm pointed at me, 'whybthen do you keep silent and let this madness go on for ages? Don't be a coward my dear child. Speak the truth even if your voice shakes.'

I felt like crying. He was right; I was a coward. I must right my wrongs. 'Sorry, for my incompetence, my dearest Lord'.

'This meeting is adjourned; children return to thy paths and fulfill thy dreams. I exist for guidance and advice. I will be there when you need me', he said as he shrunk back into the tiny blue glow.

'Make up for thy foolish mistakes', Katapíesi remarked as he stood up to exit, 'You imbecile, Perifronisi!'.

'Don't expect much from this dimwit', Icarus adviced.

Perifronisi obviously enraged stood up ready to fight but was held back by Anisychía whose hand was on his shoulders. Maybe as a reminder to calm down.

'Master', he called out as he led the way to the exit, 'Do not mind them, we shall find and slay the half'.

'I will hunt for him personally and bring back your honour ', he said as he smiled. Anisychía was a devious one. So despite his loyalty Perifronisi never fully trusted him. His name meant Anxiety. He had three heads and was unusual tall but slim. He had an evil grin that hid secrets behind it. He was the physical embodiment of untrustworthy. According to the story told to us, he was the one that deceived Michael to meeting Perifronisi and meeting his doom.

'Do you have a plan?', desperate Perifronisi inquired.

'Of course my lord', he said as he smiled even more sinister.

As the generals headed off to continue their schemes; I headed into the woods to investigate and see the outcomes of all that has transpired of recent. I was done being a coward!

***Jett's pov***

'Fifty-o~ne... Fif~ty... Two...', I counted as I strained to do sixty push ups. How I got to this situation? Let me rewind fifteen minutes ago...

'Little bird, thy body thou should train,

My power is great,

That can cause you pain;

If thou use it in this state', Timoria adviced though I sensed a little bit of mockery in there. What state? Say it; I dare you!

So I started training, beginning with trying out push ups.

'Haaaaaa', I wheezed as I fell on the ground. My body soaked in sweat and sticky, the air got and damp. My heart felt like it would fly out at any instant, my arms trembled; I could barely move them. 'I give up. I shoulda started smaller'.

' I lawd at thy folly;

That was obvious.

Now you look but sorry'.

Sometimes I just felt like smashing my head into a wall whenever he spoke or should I say rhymed. He was the concrete definition of irritation at its full potential.

'Thy thought are mine

And mine yours'.

'Well, that's great... Saves me the effort of having to tell you how I feel about you.'

I got into the shower to freshen up in preparation for my next adventure. It was already evening and like discussed we were heading deeper into the forest.

I got out and dressed up and off I went. On my way; I saw a dark silhouette, it looked like it wore a cloaked with a hood. I wanted to follow it, it looked suspicious, when the bell in my head called to me.

'Pay heed to your mission,

Don't be mislead,

You have a clear vision

To see all your enemies dead.'

He was blunt but very honest. When I looked again the person was gone. Probably some adult going about their quirky business.

As usual the streets were clear and ever was dead silent; I'm sure I could hear a pin being dropped over a mile away. As I reached the forest entrance, at the same place where I had fought the assassin, I stood dazed. My mouth was slightly open, brows raised and pupils shrunk; I couldn't believe my eyes. The tress which I had destroyed and burnt up with my pinch had been restored. They were there like nothing had even touched them. I was confused. Reading my mind, knowing I was about to ask him what happened, Timoria responded with a breif, 'No, I know not'.

I was shocked but I knew if I wanted to find the answer I'd have to go into the forest. As I moved in I got uncomfortable; it was unnecessarily silent. The crickets along with the Owls tried their best to fill the air with sound but to no avail. The flies that went on alert as I passed each corpse also contributed a bit. As I walked I felt like someone was watching me... No like people were watching me but unlike before this time it felt safe ; like try were keeping an eye on me to make sure that I am safe.

Suddenly a gush of wind passed me bye, on my cheeks. Placing my fingers there and looking at them I saw that they were covered in blood. My cheeks were bleeding. I turned around and saw a knife stick to the tree behind me. This was to be expected, that I'd be ambushed , but why this late? Did they lead me on purpose? I saw another one of those knives coming towards me but I was slow to react; then one of the branches of the tree before me moved and shielded me. WHAT THE FUCK!!! Like what happened?! Did the tree just move?!

I had all those questions but I knew I had no time for them; I ran towards the direction of the knives and entered a mini open field and standing at the other side was a Neo Enigma. It had three heads and it stood with one leg in for the other, like a female while holding knives in its hands.

'Welcome you abominable half', it said as it grinned even wider. 'I'll make you pay for making a fool of my master'.

'I don't know who your master is', I replied while transforming, 'but I'm eager to find out; maybe I'll take your head to him as a gift '.

'Let's see about that', the vengeful Anisychía responded.
