After a week, Natasha was in her office going through some files when her assistant CEO suddenly rushed in, looking out of breath.

"What are you doing here? Why did you just barge into my office?" Natasha asked, narrowing her eyes. She was sure she had told everyone to knock before entering.

"Natasha, Smith Group ,they've decided to cancel the second contract they gave us!" her assistant CEO announced.

Natasha slammed her hand on the table and stood up.

"What do you mean they decided to cancel the second contract? We did the first one very well! That’s the only reason they gave us a second deal. So what happened? Why did they change their mind?" she asked, in confusion.

"I don’t know what happened," he replied nervously. "But I was just called now and informed that the contract has been canceled. What should we do?"

Without wasting time, Natasha picked up her phone and dialed the number of George, the assistant CEO of Smith Group. He was also a good friend of Elijah.

After a few rings, he answered.

"Good afternoon, Mr. George. I just heard from my assistant CEO that you canceled the contract you gave us. Is there a reason why you're displeased with our service? Because you praised our first job," Natasha said, trying to keep her voice calm. That first job had earned her $40 million money she had used to expand her company. She was looking forward to the second contract to secure more funds.

George's voice was firm. "Miss Natasha, I do not know what you did, but you offended my boss, Mr. Smith. He told me to pull all funds and cancel all contracts immediately."

Natasha's brows drew together in confusion. "Mr. George, I think you're mistaken. I’ve never met Mr. Smith. How could I possibly offend someone I’ve never met? I did nothing wrong,"

"I’m sorry to inform you that I cannot help you. The order came directly from my boss. I don’t know what you did, but he’s angry. Please don’t call this number again. I don’t want to be said to be associated with you and get fired. Have a nice day." George replied.

"Wait…" Natasha started, but the call ended.

She tried calling him again, but he wouldn’t answer. With a sigh, she dropped the phone onto her desk and slowly sat down.

"Miss Natasha, what are we going to do? You’ve already taken out loans. If we don’t get this contract, we might get into a lot of trouble," her assistant CEO reminded her.

She didn’t need the reminder. She knew exactly what was at stake. Every detail had been planned, and now it was all crashing down.

Grabbing her purse, she stormed out of the office. There was only one person who might know what was going on Henry.

When she arrived at Henry’s company, he was just coming out of a meeting. The moment he saw her, his eyes lit up and a satisfied smile spread across his face.

"Natasha, it’s a pleasure to see you. Is there something I can do for you?" Henry asked, walking toward her.

Natasha’s face was filled with worry, and he noticed it immediately.

"Come, let’s go to my office," he suggested gently.

They entered his office and closed the door. Henry was happy. She had come to him, just as he’d hoped. Now that she was getting divorced, he was planning to pursue her fully.

"Henry, you said you’re good friends with Mr. Smith. Did he tell you I did something wrong to him? I’ve never met the man before," Natasha asked as she sat down.

Henry's lips twitched. He adjusted his tie.

Why was she asking him that?

He didn’t even know who Mr. Smith really was.

The only reason he claimed to know the man was because Natasha had once told him Elijah had given her the contract. Henry took credit for it, pretending he had recommended her to Mr. Smith as a hardworking woman.

"I…I don’t know. He didn’t tell me anything like that," Henry lied, trying to think fast.

"Can you please call him and ask what I did wrong? I can’t think of anything ,I didn’t offend anyone recently," Natasha pleaded, her voice full of fear.

She didn't want to lose the contract.

Henry gulped, sweating internally.

"Um… You know Mr. Smith is a very busy man and likes to remain anonymous. That’s why I can’t just call him. But I’ll give him a call later and ask what the problem is. I’ll get back to you," he lied.

Natasha’s shoulder dropped and she looked down to the floor.

Henry moved closer, sitting beside her on the couch. He wrapped an arm around her waist and gently pulled her closer.

"Just calm down. I’m sure it’s just a misunderstanding. Once I speak to him, it’ll all be settled," he whispered.

Natasha sighed, leaning her head back in exhaustion. She had worked so hard to get this far. Everything had been going smoothly ,and now everything was falling apart.

Henry, seeing her vulnerable and close, let his eyes wander. He licked his lips slightly as his gaze traveled down her exposed shoulders ,her off-shoulder dress revealing the smooth. His eyes then went lower to her breasts.

He smiled to himself.

Soon, he thought, with the right words and lies she’ll be his. And he will make sure to taste every inch of her body.
