Chapter 38

Feran felt it was his fault. He felt it would have been best if he had listened to his instinct earlier and went about 7pm to the company to give his wife, Laura a ride home instead of giving in to his flesh by deciding to rest for a while after he made dinner.

Laura walked inside and met her parents having dinner in the dining room. She greeted them and went to freshen up before returning to the dining room and joining them for dinner.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Laura asked, noticing her mother's bad mood. Mitchel had a long face and was sluggishly eating her food. Feran standing some meters away by the dining room wondered what was wrong now.

Getting no response from her mother, Mitchel, Laura glanced at her father who was staring at his wife in bewilderment and she proceeded to ask the question again, thinking her mother probably did not hear her.
