“Who do you think you are?” Mr. Dursley laughed, unbothered.

Kane didn't respond. He didn't need to. He turned and lowered his body before Anna, held her arms and pulled her up gently.

Anna resisted though, tears spilling more and heartbreaking sobs muffled her voice.

“Let..let me plead..they won't forgive me..this job is my life...” Mucus rolled from her nose. Her small make-up had ruined and her face was a mess of tears and Mucus.

Kane pitied her and it only fueled his anger more. They'll pay.

“Your boyfriend here thinks he's someone...But I'm sorry to burst his—” His phone buzzed, cutting him off.

“Who the heck is that!" He said, pulling out the phone from his pants pocket.

Immediately his eyes fell on the screen, his composure shifted and his attitude relaxed. He blinked, cleared his throat and took few steps away from the loud place.

Terry on the other hand resumed, throwing tantrums at Kane. The crowd laughed. The hall buzzed, light flicked and phones didn't drop from the air.
