Chapter 21

The door whirled and made some mechanical machine noises. The book space at the door, tilted sideways and enlarged, to fill some spaces. The door got opened eventually, after a short wait.

We walked through the door. They all looked like aliens from Earth's TV shows, with their spines outside their body. They all looked peaceful, the enormous hall, built with rocks and very tall, in the inside where rare diamonds, attached to the corners of the temple. The first room was very enormous and empty, only few Chupakabras in robes were roaming around in the room. The room was very quiet, the Chupakabras steps were heard, even when they walked so quietly like they were charged for every steps, watching all bits of it.

One of them, spotted us and moved slowly to us. We walked to him too. We met at the center of the hall, "welcome here Guardian and lady Kyar. The war lady. What seek ye, amongst the Chupakabras?" He said, picking one word, from.the other.

I looked at him like an innocent child, and wondered why Kyar mentioned them, amongst the rest of the villains we fought. There environment is not sacred or scary or dreadful. The desert was all clean and the clouds worked well with the three big suns. Nothing seemed scary there, they looked very okay, especially their time of talking. Kyar turned around twice, looking for something, she was very confused. Maybe the fairytale she heard, were all fake. She was brain duped.

"Thank you." I cleared my throat. "We are here to see your master here."

"We don't have a master, we call him.the great Chupakabra. And he's waiting for you." He said, he bowed in courtesy and held Kyars hand, like a husband, walking his wife to the altar. He opened a door, which led to the library, where more of them learnt, there were balls, which signifies each planet, according to the drawing on them, about fifty of them were present. I looked at the planets in awe, as holograms came out in the likeness of people who lived in the planet, and watched how the Chupakabras studied them. Earth wasn't the only normal planet with breathable air and humans, with gravity.

We walked a while through the library and walked to another door. Before the Chupakabra opened the door, Kyar gave a tap on his shoulder and whispered. "Hey" the Chupakabra turned around to o her and responded.

"What seek ye?" He said.

"What's there? What's that?" She pointed to a planet, with people of her same likeness, they resembled her so much.

"That's where thou forefathers cameth from, when they sought for greener pastures. They found it here in our planet, and never returned home. Just like Lauthel, from that planet." He pointed to one they was very big, it was earth. He continued. "The unvarying earth." He said with a grin from ear to ear on his face. He opened the door. Kyar was still stuck to her planet as she pinned her focus on it. She looked bothered, but I kept my questions for some other time. I patted her and held her in to the next room.

The next room was a small one. The Chupakabras in there, yelled as we walked in to the room, which looked like a lab for human experiment. But smaller human tubes, which was made to produce babies. The yell was for another baby, which came out from one of the tubes. They rejoiced with themselves and weaned the baby directly. The scene was beautiful to gaze upon. So I stayed a while and attached my face to the joyful creatures.

The leading Chupakabra waited to joy with them and we watched them. Suddenly the joy left them, and they all went back to the same sense of theirs. It was strange and heartbroken to me. "Why do you guys have to rejoice like that?" I asked mildly. Whispering the question.

"This is not earth. My dear" he answered with touch on my shoulder and a smile. I was a bit confused and annoyed in mix, but didn't look like it. Kyar was still brooding over what she saw earlier. I knew something was up with her, I still kept my words with me.

We walked to a huge door. The Chupakabra walked to it, gestured us to stop behind and chanted at the door. I looked around and Kyar managed to do same, I didn't look at her for long, so she won't think I know something was wrong with her. I didn't think about it either, since she could see through it.

There were other doors, which where smaller than the huge door, about eight of them were visible from my stand. The Chupakabra finished chanting and the door, made a whirring buzzing sound. The noise was ear disturbing, but only to us.

We walked in to the hall, where few Chupakabras were present, just three were talking together at the throne-like figure, that was at a meter away from the center of the hall.

"Greetings!" The Great Chupakabra greeted from his seat on the throne. The other Chupakabras, who were discussing with him, dispersed and went to different scrolls, which were floating behind the Great Chupakabra. They went to write something on it, the writings were like science formulas and ancient Roman words.

"Hail the Great!" The Chupakabra, that led us to the hall, greeted the Great Chupakabra and went his way, back to where he led us from.

"Hello there, the Great Chupakabra" I and Kyar greeted the Great Chupakabra. We moved forward to him. He was very huge, than the others. He without doubt was older too. His spine grew like the back of the Kentrosaurus, and his teeth like the arctic Walrus. He moved carefully and slowly, from the throne, down to us, in his flowing robe, sliding on the floor behind him. His robe had a hood, in place of a crow. Only him had that type of wear around the whole temple.

"Hi... The Guardian and Kyar the war lady." He paused and yawned, before he continued his speech. "You came to know, if we are involved with the hell that let loose of his raging tyrants. Well we don't know anything about it. I am glad you're happy with that."

"Yes" I said slowly. The Great Chupakabra went back to his seat, since he cleared us. "what do you know about it?"

Shit! I thought.

"I already told you." Re Great Chupakabra said.

"What can you say about it? How did you know we're coming and you can't just say you're clean and make us believe that." Kyar bursted from behind me.

"I can say... I know that the predicted wrongly. Now it haunts us. I know when every insect get in here. You can't believe me and I can't lie against myself. You should be satisfied now." He defeated us. Calmly, with his mild words.

We rubbed our napes and I shrugged a shoulder and sighed. "Can we pass the night here. Maybe there's a place to spend the night in here?"

"Sure there is." He waited a while and turned to one of the scroll writers. "Come here Orf. You get a room ready for them, and get their desired meal." He ordered.
