Chapter 22

Orf took us to a room, we entered and he asked for our desired meal. We gave him our orders. Mine was a little more strictly given in details, as I mentioned every single thing I wanted in the food, which wasn't fazing the alien. He showed me a picture of what I was sweating on. I felt relieved and he grinned broadly, which looked very disgusting with his form of creation. He walked out, shut the heavy iron made door behind him loudly.

"Phew!" I exclaimed. Kyar walked to the curtains. I looked around the interior of the room, they looked amazing. Just like the settings of a human room. It was beautiful, the television, chairs, ceiling fan, light bulbs, world maps on the wall, and many other beautiful decors, got the room to my very normal taste. I rubbed the bedsheet, feeling the wools in it. They were soft and puffy.

I looked at Kyars direction, who stared out through the window still. Her mind was still in the troubled state. The suns was set to go, leaving one behind, the one sun seemed to have a constant place, it didn't move but it was dimmer than the others. I called it the moon, since no moon appeared at dark. The scene was beautiful but I knew it wasn't the target or Kyar, she was bothered. "Hey" I called out to her. She was still deep in thought at first, she didn't flinch an inch in the spot. She stared out blankly. "Hey!" I called her louder, and slightly squeezed her shoulder.

"Lauthel" she moaned. "the scene is eye-catching." She smiled, tears were stored in her eye socket. Her lips were dry. We both already changed to the human form, inside the room. We still waited for Orf for the meal, mostly me. I was famished.

"Yes it sure is. Lovely I may say. But you're bothered." I digressed my attention from the scene to her face. Folded my arms and exhaled sharply. "I... I can tell from the look on your face. You have been in this mood since we have seen your origin." I loosed my arms, stared into her eyes and smirked.

"Yes Lauthel. I am really not happy." She turned around and sat in the bed, I followed her and we sat next to each other. "When I saw..." The door hissed loudly, opened and some Chupakabras came in with trays in their hands, about nine of them came in, set the table, that was near the wall. Orf came to us to explain that the meal was just two but in different flavours and styles, especially mine, which was six and Kyars' own was just three.

Orf left us, and told us the table will keep the food warm until we're done to eat. Orf told us what to do at the table to cool it down. He left us with the others. Kyar continued. "I left my parents when they were going back to our own planet." She sniffed.

"A day came when my parents got fed up with this planet and wanted to go back to ours. I was very little, about 17years of age." I didn't want to make a humor out of the talk, I held it back for some other time. I wanted to know how old she is at that time we talked. How could she call a 17years old girl a very little girl.

"My mum packed my things in my bag and packed hers too, with my fathers' I never wanted to go with them, then. Now I regret it. When they wanted to leave, they left me with Korth-ral's friend, who brought me up and I named him father, when mine was gone into the thin air. They promised to come back, very soon. I left my family, and now I regret it." She sobbed, into my arms, I cuddled with her, cheered her how and brightened her mood. She got relieved from her dark times.

We went to the table to have our meal. All the flavours and types of meal they brought tasted awful. They learnt to make something like what I called for, they only saw it in the books. They made a awful meal, I spat the moment I tried the first one, I went on to the other which tastes a little worse. The third was worst, so as the fifth. The last one tasted like papers. Experience teaches best.

Kyar had her own meal well, since she was use to the world, they seemed not to like sugary elements or salty ones. The food was all ridiculous. I went to our pouches. I grabbed mine and found the remaining fruits that was in there, crumbled, maybe it had been hit by one of the monsters in the fights. I looked at Kyar's bag. I went for it and grabbed some fruits, which were still safe. I took them and ate them instead. Orf came in and I expressed my unpleasant experience with the food. He promised to add something like what I mentioned.

The dark came at last. The moon was up, the night was a bit brighter than the one I was used too. Kyar rolled in the bed. She tucked herself in the bedsheets, I was looking at her, the bed was small for two people but I also can't sleep on the floor or the chair. I rolled in the bed, the dirty mind started, I knocked it off, I manage to not look at her face.

When it was midnight, about 5hours after we slept. The sound of a bell and rantings were waving through the windows and piercing into the ear. Kyar was up already and dressed, she was still exposing her large part of her cleavage, I had to turn around and pretend to be in bed, since she never saw me peeped.

I joined Kyar and we went to the throne, the gentle looking and acting, Chupakabras were all out, angry, with loud wailings and screeching, outside the temple. The Great Chupakabra walked out from behind us, tying a piece of cloth around his wrist, though it looked like a leather.

"One of them is here." He said hurriedly as he walked past us, without waiting for any more word. I ran towards him, to ask him who was there. He left in a rush, I didn't get to meet him again. I went back to Kyar, gripped her wrist and sighed. "What do you think is going on?" I sighed again. A Chupakabra was slung through one of the window into the temple. The head was crushed. Anything that would do that to a head in a helmet, made of pure diamonds would be a ferocious beast. I thought.

"The demi-gods are here." Kyar said and rushed out too. I followed her.
