Chapter 05

Ten minutes later, Caleb pulled out all the needles in Old Master Julius' back.

Right after that, something uncomfortable filled Old Master Julius' throat, so in the next second, he vomited a lot of black liquid.

That obviously made Amber and Logan panic, but Caleb immediately signaled for the two to calm down as he said, "Don't worry, this is part of the treatment."

Amber was still panicking even after Caleb said that. A strange black liquid came out of her grandfather's mouth, how could she not panic about that?!

However, her panic immediately disappeared when she realized that her grandfather's body looked much fresher. Her grandfather's skin had returned to its original color, and her grandfather began to regain consciousness by opening his eyes.

Caleb then handed him a glass of the drink he had made earlier, saying, "After you drink this, you will feel much better."

Old Master Julius drank it without hesitation. Although the drink looked suspicious with a pungent smell, he realized that it was Caleb who had treated him. There was no reason to refuse the medicine that Caleb gave him.

The next second, the stiffness in his legs had disappeared, so he could now move them. His vision also started to improve, allowing him to see his granddaugther clearly. He could even speak, so he immediately said to Caleb while bowing his head respectfully, "Thank you for saving my life, Mr. Doctor. I truly owe you a great debt. As the Supreme Leader of the Knight Family, I; Julius Knight, promise to fulfill your every request, no matter how difficult it is!"

Seeing Caleb receive such deep respect and gratitude from Old Master Julius, Damian and Logan couldn’t hide their envious expressions.

This bastard is so lucky! It was an honor that everyone in Fluxville City wanted.

Caleb on the other hand, showed a satisfied smile. He didn’t expect that this old man was the Supreme Leader of the Knight Family; the most influential and number one family in Fluxville City.

Making this big shot owe him a debt would certainly give him great support. Although Old Master Julius would not be able to fulfill his request to destroy the Thompson Family, at least the Thompson Family wouldn’t be able to do anything bad to him. He would have the protection of the Knight Family.

Caleb then replied, “I don’t need it for now, Old Master Julius. However, I hope you can help me if I need it.”

“I will be happy to help you, Mr. Doctor. Feel free to contact Amber if you need any help,” Old Master Julius said in a respectful tone.

Caleb replied with a warm smile, turning his gaze toward Amber, saying, “Give Old Master Julius the same drink I made before, once a day. I am sure Old Master Julius will be fully recovered within a month if he drinks it regularly.”

"Thank you very much, Mr. Doctor. You saved my precious grandfather's life. I owe you a great debt," Amber replied in a grateful tone. If she had not met Caleb today, her grandfather would most likely have died. Therefore, this made her respect and admiration for Caleb very great.

Caleb replied, "No problem."

At this point, Amber turned her gaze towards Damian. Her warm expression instantly turned cold, filled with killing intent.

Amber then said, "Do you know that you will be finished today?!"

Hearing that, Damian immediately showed a panicked expression, taking long steps towards Amber, prostrating himself at her feet, “Please spare my life, Miss Amber. I promise to give up my title as a doctor and never return to this field again forever. But, please spare my life!”

Amber showed a disgusted expression, "After almost killing my grandfather, you expect me to forgive you just by stripping you of your title as a doctor?! Do you think that's a worthy exchange?! Even cutting off both your legs and arms still doesn't atone for your sins! No matter what, you're finished today!"

Damian pleaded once more, "Please show mercy, Miss Amber, I'm truly sorry! Give me a chance to live!"

Before Amber could reply, Old Master Julius interrupted by saying, "Leave him to me, Amber. I know what he's worth. It would be best if you attend the auction. As one of the main and honored guests, you should be there."

Amber immediately refused, "That's not important, Grandpa. It's better for me to accompany you here. Making sure you're okay is my priority!"

"I'm feeling much better. You can leave me here with Logan, while you go with Mr. Doctor."

Old Master Julius then turned his gaze towards Caleb, asking, “Will you grant this old man a small request, Mr. Doctor? Will you accompany my granddaughter to the auction?”

Caleb was silent for a while, lost in thought, before finally replying, “Alright, Old Master Julius. I will accompany your granddaughter.”

In order to make Old Master Julius more indebted to him, this was necessary.

Amber, on the other hand, immediately agreed to her grandfather's request. To be honest, she was very curious about Caleb's identity.

Caleb looked simple, but had extraordinary medical skills. This kind of medical ability was the first time Amber had seen it, making her wonder where and from whom Caleb learned it.

This naturally made Caleb look very mysterious in her eyes. Therefore, Amber wanted to get to know Caleb better, to find out who he really was.

Besides, her grandfather’s condition seemed to have improved a lot, so she could do this task with peace of mind.

Afterwards, Caleb and Amber left the hospital and headed to an auction house.

Looking at the backs of the two slowly moving away, Logan couldn’t hide his envious expression. That bastard was really lucky!

Although Logan was not an expert in the world of romance, he could see that Caleb had managed to win Miss Amber's heart, even if only a little. That was already an incredible achievement considering Miss Amber was a cold and arrogant woman. Almost no man could win her heart, even for the heirs of the big families in Fluxville City.
