The air around Alex suddenly became tensed. What the hell just happened? The bright and shining countenance on his face faded away as his eyes saw the Old Man bowing to Ethan.

"This can't be happening." Alex thought in his mind as terror slowly creeped into his body as the reality of the events began to settle in his mind.

He had known the The Housekeeper was the president of Majestic Skies Building. He had also known that there was a Super Family backing The Housekeeper.

A deeper level of fear ran through his spine as he tried to put the pieces together. If The Housekeeper saluted Ethan with so much respect, was Ethan a member of the Super Family?

"No he couldn't be!" Alex screamed in his mind. That made no sense. Or did it? As Alex pounded on these thoughts, sweat beads began forming on his forehead, his palm getting sweaty, his breathing became laboured.

"Hope you didn't experience much discomfort?" The Old Man asked with so much care.

"Nothing to worry about." Ethan responded.

"I'm glad to hear that."

"Who's this man?" Ethan asked, pointing at Alex, with eyes red with fury and resentment.

Alex's eyes widened with fear as Ethan pointed at him. His fears had materialized right in front of him. He was fucked.

The Old Man looked at Alex with confusion. Trying so hard to recall his identity but to no avail.

"To be honest with you, I don't even know who he is." The Old Man answered after looking at Alex.

"Get me my secretary Rachel, she'll definitely know who he is." The Old Man faced one of the bodyguards.

The bodyguard simply bowed and went away.

The waiting period was the longest time in Alex's life. His entire livelihood hung in the balance. The horrors that awaited him had already began to haunt him.

In what felt like an eternity to Alex, The bodyguard arrived with Rachel.

"I'm here sir." Rachel announced her presence with a soft tone. She had on a light pink gown that stopped just a little above her knees. The gown was fitted on her and brought out her feminine shape.

She also had a batch on the right side of the chest that spelt "RACHEL".

"Who's this man right here?" The Old Man asked, pointing to Alex.

Taking a look at the man pointed to, "He's one of the mangers working here sir." Rachel answered.

Alex tried putting up a smile as Rachel mentioned his position.

"Very well then. No wonder I don't know him. We have quite a number of them working here." The Old Man said. "You may go." He added, dismissing Rachel.

"Yes sir" Rachel answered as she bowed and went back inside.

"What's the problem? Is he someone you know?" The Old Man faced Ethan.

"This man right here is a very immoral man. A disgrace to the good men out there." Ethan began, pointing his finger at Alex.

As Alex heard the words, the air around him became stiff. Covered with sweat, Alex loosened his tie a bit as he couldn't breathe in well. This was the nightmare of nightmares.

"Men like this shouldn't be allowed anywhere near an establishment of honour. He's a parasite and a bag egg, polluting everything he touches." Ethan poured out.

As each word left Ethan's mouth, Alex felt his soul deplete bit by bit. He was ruined for sure. His throat dried up and tightened. This was the end for him.

"How could they hire someone like this in the first place?" Ethan questioned.

"I'll definitely have a word with the Board." The Old Man promised. Turning to face Alex, his wrinkled face, squeezed with anger. "I don't want to ever you near this premises again. You're fired." The Old Man dropped the bomb.

Knowing the bomb was coming didn't make the actual thing hurt any less.

Upon hearing the words from The Housekeeper, Alex legs gave way, as he fell to his knees.

"Please sir, have mercy on me." Alex begged, tears running freely down his face.

"Don't do this to me please I beg you." Alex pleaded more.

"It's already Done. Get up and get out." The Old Man ordered.

"I'm so sorry please forgive me." Alex turned and faced Ethan, still on his knees. "Please forgive me." He begged, the tears ran freely with no end in sight.

It was a case of hitting rock bottom for Alex. Never had he imagined he would be in this position, let alone to someone like Ethan.

"Actions have consequences. Never forget that." Ethan said, looking at the sorry state Alex had fell into. He felt zero pity for him. This was the result of his actions after all.

"Come on." The Old Man took Ethan by the hand and led him inside. "Throw him outside and never let him step foot within this premises ever again." The old man turned and faced the guards

"Yes sir!" They both chorused as they dragged Alex out.

The tables had turned yet again. The one who ordered the removal of Ethan was the one that ended up being removed.

"Please I have nothing to fall back on." Alex kept pleading as Ethan and the Old Man left him there struggling with the guardss.

The dim light of Alex’s makeshift room flickered, casting shadows on the cracked walls and the scattered remnants of his old life. He sat on the edge of a wooden crate, methodically strapping his gear into place. His breaths were steady, but his eyes burned with purpose. Tonight was the night. This was what he had been training for—the moment he would finally free Laurel and eliminate Jason. Alex picked up his blade, its polished steel glinting in the faint light. He ran his fingers over the edge, testing its sharpness. A small scar on his knuckle caught his eye—a reminder of all the battles he’d fought leading up to this. He glanced at the photo of Laurel taped to the wall, her smile a beacon of hope amidst his darkened world. “This is it,” he muttered to himself. “For you, Laurel.”With his weapons secured and resolve hardened, Alex stood, pulling his hood over his head. He left the room without a glance back, the door creaking shut behind him.---The screen went black, the t
