His heart was beating fast. His sweat suddenly poured profusely. His body trembled like someone who was electrocuted. The touch and grip of that creepy hand created a sensation he had never felt before. It's scarier than seeing a ghost.

He screamed loudly. It doesn't matter if you have to wake up everyone in the house. When he finished doing a loud scream, he was no longer able to keep himself awake. As a result, he lost consciousness and lay on his bed.

However, due to the screams, his brother and Thomas immediately came to his room feeling very worried. Lucky indeed, the door was not locked by Rio. So both of them can enter easily. When they entered, they already saw Rio who was lying in an irregular position on the bed.

"Bro, is he sleeping or passed out?" he asked.

"I don't know. But he screamed earlier. Maybe he saw a ghost and passed out."

"It could be, Bro. Let's wake up!" Thomas suggested.

"Yes. Please get the eucalyptus oil on top of the cupboard, Thomas!"

"Okay."

Thomas immediately headed for the cupboard which was located not so far from where he was. When he looked into the mirror of the wardrobe, he saw something very scary.

On the other side of the bed, right beside Rio and his brother, he saw a figure in a white dress standing. He wanted to not believe it, but that's what he saw. He made sure first if he wasn't looking wrong, but when he turned around, there was nothing there.

"What's wrong, Thomas?"

Thomas didn't answer right away. He caught his breath first. Only then did he give an answer.

"Nope. It's nothing," said Thomas.

After that, he averted his gaze. He looked back at the mirror. But the ghostly figure he saw in the mirror earlier was also gone. It has disappeared as if swallowed by the earth. Many questions arose in Thomas' mind, especially about whether what he saw was really a ghost or just his hallucination?

"Here you are," said Thomas.

"What were you doing?"

"Nothing's wrong, Bro. It's just that I caught a glimpse of her here," said Thomas.

"You mean?"

Thomas didn't want to answer. He was silent, waiting for his interlocutor to realize what he meant. And it was true, not long after, the man who was much older than him immediately realized it.

"Oh, yes. I see. Now, where is she?"

"I don't know."

"Where did you see him?"

Thomas answered, but not using his voice, but with eye signals. Rio's brother nodded in understanding. But he also didn't know what to do. Now the most important thing is about his sister's awareness.

He used the eucalyptus oil to awaken his younger brother. He tried many times and was finally able to make his younger brother conscious from fainting.

"Rio, why did you faint?" asked his brother.

"Bro, don't ask first! He just woke up from fainting," said Thomas, slipping a little laugh.

Rio's brother understood. He waited for Rio to speak. But of course it's not as easy as he thought. For some reason he felt that Rio looked still in shock. His gaze was blank, as if he was imagining or remembering something. Seeing this, he could not remain silent.

"Rio," he called.

"I see it." Rio suddenly spoke.

"What do you see?" asked his brother.

"I have seen the ghost. He was there showing himself to me. Very scary," said Rio.

"Rio, are you scared? Isn't that what we're aiming for?" asked his brother.

"Yes, I've been trying to find information. I also asked her, but she didn't answer. I'm still too scared to face her. Even when my shoulder was held, I immediately fainted," said Rio.

"Hufft." The older brother exhaled slowly.

"That's it, Sis. Tonight I'll just sleep here accompanying Rio. It's not funny if he faints again. Hahaha," said Thomas.

"Okay. If anything happens, just scream. Let you hear it and come here."

"Ready," said Thomas.

Night's getting late. Rio's brother had also returned to his own room, while Thomas and Rio were still in the same room. Rio's gaze looked blank. According to Thomas, it would be very dangerous. Rio could be possessed by that ghost, and that means it's going to be a very serious problem tonight.

"Don't daydream! If you are possessed, you just know how you feel," said Thomas.

"No. It's just that I'm still thinking about the incident earlier," said Rio.

"Do not think about it! Trust me, if you keep thinking about that ghost in your current scared state, it will really appear. You don't want to pass out again, do you?" Thomas asked.

"No," said Rio.

"Well that's that then. We'd better sleep. For tonight we undo the intention to unravel this mystery. It seems we are still not ready and not brave enough," said Thomas.

Rio just nodded. He is now different from what he used to be. There was no more joy visible on his face. There is only an expression of fear and worry about something. Thomas was aware of that too. So, in order to maintain his best friend's mental state, like it or not, he has to cancel the plan to unravel the mystery of the ghost.

Rio fell asleep first, while Thomas was still awake while playing on his cell phone. Occasionally he glanced at the wardrobe mirror. Maybe he could see the ghost in the mirror. However, he saw nothing.

"It seems I can't involve Rio in this. He's still too cowardly. If I forced him to face the ghost, it would be the same as destroying his psyche. Maybe it's better if I do it alone," Thomas said to himself.

He exhaled slowly. Then, his eyes landed on the clock on the wall. It was very late, and he couldn't fall asleep. His feelings are mixed. Between fear, alert and also curious. Everything suddenly appeared in his little heart. If he could be honest, then he would say that actually he was also afraid of the ghost. But on the other hand, he is very curious. He wants to know and reveal about the mystery of the ghost.

"Ah, perhaps this is too soon. I can't rush. I have to be patient. And later I will definitely know about the truth, "Thomas thought.

The man then closed his eyes. He seemed intent on sleeping too. However, when he closed his eyes for only a few seconds, he heard the sound of something falling which he believed came from Rio's kitchen. Actually, what is that sound?

"Yes, that ghost, ma'am," said Thomas. His mother nodded in understanding. He understood what his son meant."Ma'am, I wanted to ask permission to stay over at Rio's house.
