Thomas Sick

Thomas gasped in surprise. He opened his eyes wide. Curiosity and fear mixed together. This incident is exactly the same as what happened at his house yesterday.

He got up from his sleep and took a sitting position. His curiosity had reached its limits. He wanted to see what had created the sound. Is it just a cat or is it a scary creature according to his estimates?

"Huff... Never mind. Maybe it's just a cat," said Thomas quietly, then he returned to his sleeping position.

But once again, he was still curious. After lying down for a few moments, he returned to a sitting position. He himself didn't even know what kind of feeling was inside him. What is certain is that curiosity is truly great.

For a moment he gathered his will and courage, before finally he really decided to check the source of the sound. The fear is clearly there. However, curiosity is more than anything.

With very careful steps, he walked towards the kitchen. While walking, he didn't forget to look around him. Front, right, left, back, even up and down. Everything did not escape his sight.

He swallowed his own saliva. Now he was in the pitch black kitchen of Rio's house. He tried to find the light switch, but of course it wasn't as easy as he imagined. Because he didn't even know where it was. Until when he walked, he was surprised to see white.

"Who's that?" he asked.

Fear struck his heart again. His gaze couldn't leave there, but his feet continued to move to look for the light switch. He felt every part of the wall there until finally he found it.

He prepared himself mentally before turning on the light. If the white-white was a ghost figure that had been terrorizing his village, he could have fainted on the spot when he saw it. Therefore, preparing mentally is the best choice for him.

"Hufff."

And in the end, he dared to turn on the light. Then what happen? It turns out that the white is just hanging fabric. Thomas laughed softly, laughing at himself. He might get scared just because of the white cloth.

"Oh my. It turns out it's just cloth. Hahaha," he said while hitting himself on the head.

The question has been answered. He decided to return to the room. Before that, he turned off the kitchen lights first. Only then did he actually leave there to return to the room.

"Huff... That's bad. I'm afraid of just a white cloth," he said when he was in the room.

"Rio's family is also strange. Why put a cloth like that there? Just make me scared," he continued.

He shook his head. Then, he immediately positioned himself to sleep. And that's when he realized something. Something very odd.

"Wait! The shape of the cloth..." He trailed off as he recalled the incident that had happened to him.

"Doesn't it look like a dress when the lights are off? And why isn't it shaped like that when the light comes on?" he thought.

He shuddered in horror. He realized that what he had just seen was really a ghost. However, when the light came on, the ghost had disappeared and coincidentally the white cloth was there. He immediately covered his whole body with a blanket because he was afraid. After that, he heard the very heartbreaking sound of a woman crying.

"It turns out it's true, it was a ghost," he thought. He pressed his body closer to Rio's body.

"Damn! Still, I'm still afraid of facing him," he continued thinking.

He could still hear the sound of crying. It's really heartbreaking. In fact, Thomas' whole body was shaking violently. He didn't know what else to do other than just do what he was doing now.

In the morning, Thomas woke up in a bad condition. He suddenly felt unwell. His body felt hot. Maybe it was the effect of not being able to sleep all night due to hearing the sound of the female ghost crying.

"Thomas, wake up! "Time to go to school," said Rio while shaking Thomas' body.

"Huh, yeah."

"Hurry up and get up! Are you going to be late?" Rio asked.

"I don't think I'm going to school today," said Thomas.

"Ha? Why?" Rio asked confused.

""I'm not feeling well," answered Thomas.

"Ha ha ha ha." Rio laughed.

"Damn friend! His friend was sick and even laughed at," said Thomas.

"Why did you suddenly get sick?" Rio asked.

"How would I know. Maybe because I heard the ghost crying all night," answered Thomas.

Hearing that, Rio's laughter even louder. He didn't seem to care what happened to him.

"So don't be arrogant! He said he wanted to uncover the mystery of the ghost. Just when I heard the sound of his crying, I fell ill. Last night I saw his form and there was nothing wrong with it. If you just hear his voice, you will fall sick. Weak. Hahaha," mocked Rio.

"What a damn friend you are! Hopefully tonight the ghost will sleep next to you," said Thomas.

"Wow, wow. Don't be like that!"

"Whatever."

"Hah, never mind. I want to go home. Please excuse me if I don't go to school today!" said Thomas as he got up from his sleep.

Sure enough, his body looked limp. His face was pale too. It seems that Thomas is really sick, not joking or lying. Rio just stared at Thomas leaving without saying a word. He thought, even Thomas fell ill because of the ghost. In fact, Thomas is the person who really wants to meet the ghost in person because of his desire to uncover a mystery. If Thomas were to fall ill, then what would happen to him who was so scared?

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Thomas returned home in a worrying condition. He walked like a person who had no energy at all.

"Thomas, what's wrong with you?" asked his mother when she saw Thomas.

"I don't know either, ma'am. My body is weak. My body temperature is also hot. "I don't think I'll go to school today," answered Thomas.

A mother's instincts are very strong. She immediately pressed the back of her hand to Thomas' forehead. And it turns out to be true. Thomas' body temperature felt very hot. She immediately told Thomas to rest in her room.

"Did something happen last night to make you sick like this?" asked his mother.

"You could say that, ma'am," answered Thomas.

"What happened?"

"Last night I heard the sound of a woman crying. I couldn't sleep. Then now I'm sick," said Thomas.

"Is that so? Yes, I've made tea for you first. You stay here!"

"Yes, ma'am."

Then, the mother came out of Thomas' room. However, not lg after, Thomas, who was still in his room, saw his mother running quickly past the front of his room.

"Mother. Why did she run?"
