18. Two abilities

"Is he going to be alright? He has been unconscious for an hour now."

"He will be fine. Nothing bad happened to him. He just lost a lot of energy. Quit worrying Dad."

The voices were indistinct but Kevin could make out what they were saying as he awakened.

Everything was blurry at first but with time, it came piece by piece until the room became clear.

He was on bed in a room that looked like a hospital ward. It had almost everything that a hospital ward needed. Just like the hospital in the Hunters Base.

By the brown door, Leo talked with a young man who had his back faced to him. He was in a lab coat with a stethoscope hung around his neck.

"Oh, he's awake." Leo said as he saw Kevin sit up.

The other guy turned and walked to the bed. "How are you feeling?"

"A bit weak. How long was I out?"

"An hour."

"An hour?"

"Since you aren't used to your ability, your body is still... adjusting. Abilities take energy to act up and let's just say your body is...lacking in sufficient energy
