Chapter 1
PEACEFUL WORLD
The scene was painfully ordinary. The only slight deviation from my usual loner commute from university was the group of two boys and two girls walking ahead of me, their uniforms a blast from my high school past. They were a picture of vibrant social energy, a stark contrast to my elite, solitary existence. The girls were pretty enough to be class beauties, and the perfect one-to-one ratio made my cynical heart whisper, "Gods." Honestly, they could all just spontaneously combust.
It was all mundanely predictable. Right up until the moment we all stopped at a crosswalk, waiting for the light to change.
A magic circle, intricate and glowing with an impossible light, flared to life on the pavement beneath our feet.
The world didn't so much transform as it glitched. The urban scenery flickered like a corrupted video file, the asphalt beneath my feet became cool, rough-hewn stone, and the harsh midday sun was replaced by the dim, dancing glow of torchlight. My brain stuttered, trying to process the sensory overload.
[We bid you welcome, O Heroes!]
A voice, clear and melodious as a bell, cut through my confusion. My eyes snapped towards the source. A woman stood before us, a vision in a pristine white dress, her golden hair cascading around shoulders and her blue eyes piercing. She was addressing the three high school students in front of me—the two girls and one of the boys.
Wait. One of the boys?
I was still the odd one out, even in a summoning.
The golden-haired woman’s enchanting smile faltered. Her speech died in her throat. A profound silence descended, so heavy it felt like time itself had frozen. The robed figures flanking her shifted uncomfortably.
[U-Umm, Milady? Is it just me, or am I seeing four people here?] one of them whispered, voice trembling.
[What a coincidence, Luna. I see the same thing,] the beauty replied, her brow furrowing in a look of pure, unadulterated consternation.
My mind, meanwhile, was a browser with too many tabs open, desperately trying to find the script for this situation. The three students glanced back at me, their expressions a mirror of my own bewildered panic.
[W-What do we do?! This is a summoning error, isn't it?! Three of them got caught in the ritual!]
[M-Most probably, yes... What should we do, Milady?]
[Even if you ask me that, we can't just fix this with a 'We blundered. Tehee~,'] she muttered, tapping a finger against her lips. [We'll have to explain the situation first... Ah, but before that, we need to determine who the true Hero is...]
[Tehee... Milady, acting like that at your age is just...]
[Why are you calmly roasting me at a time like this?!]
My initial sense of mortal dread was rapidly being replaced by a profound sense of absurdity. This was less "divine prophecy" and more "office workplace blunder." The two girls were staring, shell-shocked. The other boy, however, had a terrifyingly focused glint in his eyes and was subtly pumping his fist. Who does that?
But their words finally clicked in my otaku brain. Hero. Summoning. Caught up in it.
Oh. Oh.
This wasn't just weird; this was a genre.
[Ahem. Once again, I bid you—] the golden-haired woman began, trying to regain control of the situation.
[Sorry, I'm kind of thinking right now, could you please be quiet for a moment?] I interrupted, my eyes losing focus as I dove into my mental archive of light novels.
[Ah, yes. My apologies,]
She actually listened. My mind raced. Isekai. Summoning. The variables flooded in: the righteous Demon King-slaying epic, the subversion where the summoners are the villains, the trope where the accidental tag-along gets a cheat skill...
[....U-Ummm...]
...Which one was this? The key was information. I needed to understand the rules of this world, the summoners' true intentions, the—
[....Err, excuse me...]
—the system. Was there a status screen? Magic? Had my otaku knowledge just become my greatest asset, or was I about to be executed as an unnecessary variable? The thought was a bucket of ice water.
[....If it's alright, I'd like to proceed with the conversation soon.... is that okay?] the woman—Milady—asked, her voice a delicate blend of patience and fraying nerves.
My awareness snapped back to the stone chamber, the torches, the confused students, and the very flustered, very powerful-looking woman I had just shushed. I felt the blood drain from my face.
[I-I'm sorry! I have this habit where I just... zone out!] I stammered, bowing my head slightly. It's a terrible flaw; my focus is so intense it creates a blind spot to everything else. A dangerous trait in what was potentially a life-or-death situation.
Milady gave a graceful, if slightly strained, smile. [It is quite alright. Now, let us begin properly. I am Lillianna, Third Princess of the Kingdom of Elrad. To you, O Heroes, we offer our deepest gratitude for answering our call in this, our hour of greatest need. The Demon King's forces gather, and fate has chosen you to be our saviors.]
She gestured to the three students, who straightened up, a mix of fear and burgeoning excitement on their faces. Then, her gaze, along with everyone else's, landed squarely on me.
[And you, sir...] Princess Lillianna's smile became brittle. [There seems to have been a slight... miscalculation in the ritual. Your presence here is an anomaly.]
One of the robed advisors, a severe-looking woman I guessed was Luna, leaned in and whispered, her voice cold and clear, meant for the Princess but audible in the tense silence.
[The ritual was designed for three, keyed to the spiritual signatures we had traced. He is an outsider. A contaminant.]
Lillianna nodded slowly, her blue eyes studying me not with welcome, but with analytical caution. [Precisely. So, I must ask you the most important question of your life.]
She took a step forward, the air growing heavy.
[Who are you? And more importantly... what are you?]

I GOT SUMMONED IN A PEACEFUL WORLD Extra Chapter: A Primer on the World's Weave
For Kaito Miyama, understanding this new world was not a matter of mere survival, but of intellectual necessity. In the quiet moments afforded to him within the Albert estate, he began to compile notes, cross-referencing information from Lilia’s guarded lessons, Luna’s dry asides, and the few historical texts he was permitted. What emerged was a framework—a sketch of the cosmic and mundane forces that shaped the land of Symphonia and the realms beyond. The Turning of the Seasons and the Flow of CoinThe passage of time in this world was governed by a celestial dance of six elemental months, which repeated in a continuous, harmonious cycle: Fire, Water, Tree, Earth, Wind, and Light, followed again by Fire, Water, Tree, Earth, Wind, and Heaven. Each month held thirty days, creating a year of 360 days. The shift from Light to Heaven was particularly significant, marking the transition from the year's bright, active half to its more contemplative, spiritual culmination. Festivals often al

I GOT SUMMONED IN A PEACEFUL WORLD DEMON KING IS SMALL FRY FOR US PART 2
[The Demon Realm operates on a straightforward meritocracy. Essentially, the one with the greatest power stands at the top. That said, just because it’s a meritocracy doesn’t mean the Demons are violent. On the contrary, most Demons are rational beings who don’t resort to violence without reason and don’t look down on the weak. It’s simply a society that values individual ability over lineage.][Rather, they’re much more even-tempered than humans. Both My Lady and I have been to the Demon Realm and toured around a bit. The people there have always been kind to me.][Yes, I’d love to visit again sometime. While the Demon Realm has no unified country, it’s divided into six territories. Each territory is ruled by one of the “Six Kings”—namely, “Underworld King-sama,” “War King-sama,” “Death King-sama,” “World King-sama,” “Dragon King-sama,” and “Phantasmal King-sama.” These Demons have lived for thousands of years, and their power is said to be capable of destroying the world.]The most

A relatively small yet well-kept and clean room. Could this be the reception room? It was here that the explanation, which had been interrupted by our earlier movements and mealtime, resumed.[Now then, about this world.... The topic came up a bit earlier, so I’ll explain it to you through the story of the First Hero-sama.]As Lilia-san spoke, Lunamaría-san placed what appeared to be a map on the table. The shape of the continent gave the impression of an enlarged version of Europe. On the lower left part of the continent, roughly where Spain would be, there was a section marked in black and white. Meanwhile, near the center of the continent, slightly away from that area, a spot was encircled in red.[The area enclosed in red is the Symphonia Kingdom, where we are now. To the north is the “Archlesia Empire,” and to the south, across the sea, is the “Hydra Kingdom.” These three nations are known as the Three Major Powers. Up until about a thousand years ago, they were the entirety of w

I GOT SUMMONED IN A PEACEFUL WORLD THE DUCHES IS THE GOOD PERSON PART 2
I imagined being served a full course when you talk about food for nobles, but what came out was bread, soup, salad, and the main dish that sounds very fancy, though I didn’t understand what it meant. It’s like a foreign-style set meal, and it was very delicious. There are many otherworld cuisines that are described as not delicious in isekai light novels, with the most popular being hard bread and too-much-salt soups, and I was also expecting that, but——— the food I’m eating right now is delicious. The bread is soft enough, the soup tastes like consommé, and the least I could say is it is far more delicious compared to the convenience store bento that I’ve eaten.Oh, there, suddenly I instinctively looked in Lilia-san’s direction. Lilia-san took a spoonful, but after eating that, she sighed.[—Luna, before the lunch ends.—][—Understood.]After she gave Lunamaría-san a command with a quiet voice, she noticed my gaze and returned me a gentle smile.[How is the food?][Eh? Ah, it’s ver

Inside the slightly shaking carriage. I could not even think of coming up with a comment for my first experience riding a carriage. All I could do was to worry.By the way, we are currently moving towards Lilia-san’s house, and the members who received an explanation from her earlier are all in the carriage. It looks like Mitsunaga-kun agreed to participate in the Festival of Heroes, and would go to the palace as a state guest. After he lightly greeted Kusunoki-san and Yuzuki-san with goodbyes, he went off in a very extravagant carriage. I only wished that he took me with him.[Umm, Kaito-san? Are you alright? If you do not feel good, we could take a break.][No, I’m alright.][Milady, I believe that Miyama-sama is still confused.]This maid, so shamelessly—she knows why, but she won’t say it![I see, I can’t blame him. Although I can’t exactly say these words as the cause of all these, and could not even apologize properly— please do not worry too much. Please tell me if there is any

I GOT SUMMONED IN A PEACEFUL WORLD THE DEATH TRAP IS THERE PART 2
A tense silence had settled over the room after Lillianna’s assurances. It was Luna who shattered it, her voice cutting through the quiet with surgical precision.[Well then, Milady. While I understand your personal anxieties regarding your… advancing marital eligibility, I do believe it is time we—][I said no such thing!] Lillianna’s composure broke, a flush creeping up her neck. She cleared her throat, forcibly smoothing the frustration from her features. [Ahem. That is to say, we cannot remain here indefinitely. I must ask for your patience. A more thorough explanation regarding this world's customs will be provided once we have relocated to my estate. Would that be acceptable?]Her request was polite, but it was not a question. It was a directive.[Wait,] I interjected, seizing on the new information. [This isn’t your home, Lilia— I mean, Duchess Albert?]A faint, genuine smile touched her lips. [Please, Kaito-san, just Lilia is fine. And you may speak casually. We are, for bette
