It is from all this that Jace understood Daryl was just a man looking for how to make his name in society. He was a good-for-nothing idiot who derived pleasure in reaping from other people's efforts.

"Amelia, you should be very careful with this man. He is not the person you think he is. If you ask me, I'll prefer you stay away from him." Jace said to his wife, before maliciously peeking at Daryl.

While Jace was busily ranting, Amelia reached into her bag and removed some money from her purse. She approached the two grown-ups who were seriously tearing themselves up with their looks, "Take this Jace, get a taxi and go home. We will talk when I get home." Amelia said aggressively.

"Are you perhaps chasing me away?" Jace opened his hands and his brows furrowed when he noticed his wife closed a 10$ note in his hands. One more time she was going to defend a stranger.
