This was too good to be true, he could get the gauntlet free of charge and he would prove he wasn’t weak.

“Ok” He said immediately.

“There is no problem if you want to back down like a weak person would do, you can…..wait what did you just say” The man turned to the boy in surprise.

“I said I would fight and defeat your son in a battle” He stated again without an hint of fear.

“My son would not go easy on you, a lot have tried to take him down but none succeeded. He is one of the best in the village. He….”

“Ok, I’ll fight him” Roshan didn’t wait for the man to finish before stating his desire to fight again. He always loved challenges.

“Ok, c…come with me” The short man looked at Roshan again, why is he so confident.

Roshan followed the old man to a remote area close to the forest.

“Wait here, while I get him. Don’t run away” The man smiled as if mocking him.

“I won’t” Roshan answered without looking at the man, his mind was somewhere else.

He didn’t even realise the man had already left.

A screen came to his face.

*DAILY QUEST ACHIEVED*

*Daily Quest Rewards: 80exp*

*Exp: [80/300]*

At least it increased a little, he thought.

He looked at the sword by his side and brought it out of its scabbard.

The cracks were a little visible now, would he be able to fight with it.

He saw a small sharp stone by his side and picked it up. Instead of being idle, he could at least sharpen the sword.

He moved his hand gently over the sword and thought of his parents. He really missed them

He knew they would be happy to see him now, their boy was fulfilling their wish.

He smiled as he kept sharpening the sword.

******************

Somewhere close to where Roshan was

“I brought someone for you to challenge, make me proud. I boasted about you and besides he would be easy for you to beat. I believe he is very weak” The short man said as he looked at Roshan’s direction.

“Yes Father……… But why would you bring someone weak to me, it’s more like a waste of time” The boy answered back

“He is confident he can beat you which I don’t like. He should just admit he is weak” The man said as he turned to face his son.

“Beat me‼?...hahahaha” The boy started laughing

How long has it been. Someone who can beat him

He found it stupid and funny.

“Ok dad, I’ll humour you”

****

Moments later, Roshan looked up and saw the short man coming together with a tall shirtless boy whose muscles glittered in the sun.

Looking at them, you would wonder how a man like that would give birth to that kind of monster.

The boy looked at the Roshan with his eyes narrowed.

“You!!!!” The boy growled

Roshan tilted his head slightly to the side as he wondered if he knew the boy.

“Uhmmmm…do I know you” Roshan asked, he wondered why the boy showed his such hostility.

The short man ignored their interactions as he introduced his son.

“Young child, this is my son…Bahr. Do you still wanna fight him”

Roshan ignored the fact that the man still doubted him as he put his hand forward

“My name is Roshan, nice to meet you Bahr”

Bahr looked at the pale hand like it was the most disgusting thing he had ever seen.

“I don’t shake weak people” Bahr growled as he looked away

‘ohhhhhh…..like father like son' Roshan thought as he put his hand back down.

Bahr scanned him and glanced at his father, wondering why his father still wanted him to waste time with this thing.

Yes, Roshan was the thing he referred to

Bahr had watched the fight between Roshan and the Level 13 training bot but he based it on mere luck.

To him Roshan was no less than a mere rat and he would teach that rat his place.

This village had room for one master and it was obviously him not this rat.

After all, Bahr had also fought a Level 13 twice and although he lost the first time, he easily got rid of it the second time in a matter of minutes and that was four months ago. He had gotten much stronger.

So a boy that took hours to defeat a Level 13 bot, beating him would be as easy as taking candy from a baby.

On the other side, Roshan was just standing there.

He knew beating Bahr would be tough after all the guy was a Level 15 so he asked.

“can we go all out?”

Before Bahr could answer, his father stood up

“Yes of course, go all out. This place is safe and there is no one around that could get injured” The man smiled as he answered.

Of course, why wouldn’t they go all out. What did that weak boy have that he wanted to show. If they went all out it would be easier for his son to beat him a lot faster.

Roshan smiled as he looked at Bahr but instead of seeing Bahr all he could see was a test dummy for his experiments and his smile got wider.

What’s up with that weird smile, Bahr thought as he felt a chill up his spine.

The reason Roshan asked that question was because he had used the crystal Iris on Bahr and it had given him this.

*NAME: BAHR GREEMS

*LEVEL: 15

*ABILITY: Body Enhancement

*HP: [400/400]

So this opponent was strong but Roshan knew he could defeat him if he went all out. It was gonna be a tough battle but another thing that excited Roshan was

*Opponent detected*

*QUEST UPDATE*

*QUEST: Defeat opponent*

*QUEST REWARDS: Unlock two new skills

*Instant double Level Up

His eyes sparkled as he read the rewards.

Maybe it was because Bahr would be a difficult opponent that the system gave him more rewards.

Now the battle for the strongest contender would begin.

Roshan caught the short man chewing something.

‘wait…..is that popcorn?’ his eyes widened in disbelief. Did this man think it would be fun getting him beaten up.

‘where did he even get the popcorn’ Roshan thought but he waved away those silly thoughts as he focused on his opponent.

His eyes scanned his opponent as he picked up his sword lying by his side.

Bahr had no weapon and he didn’t need one as long as he had his fists there was no problem.

But Roshan didn’t care. At least he was told to go all out.

Roshan moved and leapt into a striking range, raising his sword amd slightly bending it, he aimed at the side of Bahr’s torso and he slashed it

Clanggg!!!

It was as if his sword had struck metal.

‘so this is the body enhancement' Roshan said as he noticed the slight colour on the side his sword struck. Before he could get himself.

A fast punch headed for his stomach throwing him back.

That single punch shook the whole of his body but he had already known that it won’t be easy.

A short man was heard laughing and crunching his snack. He was enjoying this.

Roshan examined his opponent.

He noticed that when he struck Bahr’s waist, a slight grey colour was shown but he also noticed that the colour was also absent on the other parts of his body meaning he could only enhance one body part at a time.

Roshan decided to test as he readied his stance.

Bahr looked at him

‘He’s a bit strong. I actually felt a slight pain from that hit. I need to take him a lot seriously'

He ran forward and threw a kick at Roshan who block the attack with his sword, little did he know that the crack on the sword was getting a bit longer.

After he blocked that attack, he swung his sword aiming for the neck at Bahr who readed his forearm to block it but the sword stopped immediately as Roshan twisted his wrist and aimed lower hitting Bahr’s lower abdomen.

But there was a surprise waiting for him, the sword made a sound as if it hit metal again.

Roshan’s eyes widened for a moment but he regained his calm. He was wrong.

Bahr saw an opening and aimed for Roshan’s chest,

Enhancing his fist, he punched it as hard as he could.

Blood spilled from Roshan’s mouth as he flew and crashed into a nearby tree.

He slid down with his hands on the floor and coughed out a mouthful of blood.

He had underestimated his opponent.

He took his stance again and this time he was ready.

He ran as fast as he could using his full stats. With a mighty speed, he swung his sword at Bahr. The latter seeing this got prepared and stood his ground. As the sword got closer, he raised his two arms in front of him and blocked the strike.

A shattering sound and a large bang was heard.

Bahr had flown from where he stood and crashed into the forest destroying a wide area of tree.

Roshan cleaned the blood flowing from his mouth. He had to payback in folds of course.

A man by the far side of the battle had his mouth open in surprise as pieces of popcorn fell from his mouth.

“H….he…he…is…s…st…strong” he had taken an amount of time to complete that short sentence because of his shock.

Roshan saw Bahr’s figure walking out from the forest and he could feel the killing intent from him at his peak as blood was seen flowing from his mouth and there were bruises on his arms where he had blocked the attack.

Roshan raised his sword to fight or so he thought, instead of a sword all he saw was a hilt with no blade.

He had no weapon, would he be able to win this fight

If you don’t see me, don’t look for me,” Read said.A number of the soldiers wanted to refuse, but a single stare was enough to silence them.“I’m the strongest one here right now,” Read said, looking toward the destroyed city, “I’ll be able to make it. I’ll contact you first before anything.”“Are you ready, Kai?” Read looked at the yellow-haired man.Kai coughed out blood before rising to his feet.“Yeah. I’ll be fine,” he chuckled in response, wiping the blood on his clothes, hiding it from the others.A portal instantly materialized, and Kai coughed again, this time vomiting blood.“I have him,” Bahr said, moving quickly to grab the collapsing Kai.“Take him inside first,” Read ordered, “and the rest of you follow.”The other soldiers picked up Lans and Roshan, then walked inside. At the ship,

The golden dust flew in the air, drifting slowly and landing on different citizens. It looked like a scene from a movie, the golden hue mixing with the redness of the blood puddles beneath their feet.It gave a dark, haunting feeling, but deep in everyone's heart, there was relief. No more death. Those who had lost families, children, and relatives swallowed their grief, their trembling eyes falling on their hero of the day.“She’s not moving,” someone said softly, and the rest turned their heads.Hera was truly not moving. Her head hung low, and her hands rested limply by her side, her body completely still.A few of them rushed forward to help her, or at least carry her to a safer place. While some of them stayed back, hesitant.“What if she wakes up and uses that thing on us?” they whispered among themselves.“We can’t trust the power users. Our city was safe until they stepped in.”If Roshan had been here, he would have understood Heath’s behavior.Just as a few of them reached clo

She activated her spells “Light element: Judgemental Rods.” At the sound of Hera’s voice. A dozen thick rods formed in front of her, ready to launch at the Daegi. “Would you need any help?” Hera said, directing her question to Roshan. “I don’t know yet.” Roshan replied calmly. He really didn’t know if he would be able to kill this thing but he definitely wanted to kill it. ------ He just wanted to get the satisfaction of killing it, the one thing that was the cause of his parents’ death. Roshan knew that this was not the exact creature that killed his parents. This was a human who was trapped in the body of this m
