She is gone!

Just like that, the once peaceful world, now running around in chaos and destruction. No one knows the cause or cure of the disease, it just seemed to spread all of a sudden. Village to village, town to town, city to city.

Kadori kept running back to his home, trying his best to stay away from the main road for they were now flooded with the creatures.

Kadori's heart raced whenever he thought of the state his mother could be right now. He was unsure whether she was still alive or has turned to the creature also.

After running for what seemed like forever,he finally arrived at his house. Luckily, the madness hasn't reached the area where he lived.

"Mom! Mom!" Kadori called out as he barged into the house and began to search around. He didn't seem to find her anywhere inside the house, making him fall on his kneels and tears rolled down.

"Kadori, are you okay?" A sweet lady's voice sounded from behind, turning around,Kadori was filled with joy to find his mother unharmed.

He quickly stood up and hugged her,"I am glad you are okay, mom." Kadori said, hugging her tightly.

"I am okay, Kadori." His mother hugged him back, sensing something was wrong.

"We have to get out of here quickly, the world is in danger." Kadori pulled away and began to pack the necessary stuffs.

"What do you mean?" His mother asked with a puzzled expression.

"Everyone outside is getting infected by a strange disease. We have to go to Uncle Duncan,he knows the way out." Kadori replied, hastily packing his stuffs into a sack.

"Kadori,you are scaring me,what is going o.."

Bang!

A loud banging sound was heard as the entrance door was sent flying. What looked like a man with torn face and body, intestine sticking out of his stomach and razor sharp fangs walked in slowly.

The creature seemed to be chewing something as blood dripped down from it's mouth. Kadori could easily guess what it was feasting on.

Kadori's mom,Sarah, pulled Kadori behind her as she grabbed a huge stick for protection.

The creature examined the two strange humans infront of it before charging forward, making a gultural noise.

Sarah lifted up the huge stick, pulled her hand backwards, before swinging it out with all her might.

The stick connected neatly with the creature's head, forcing it to take few steps backwards, then a loud cry of agony followed after.

"Go! Go!" Sarah ordered, prompting Kadori to go out through the back door.

Arriving outside the small house, they found hundreds of thesame creatures heading towards them, "Sh*t,go back!"

They went back inside, and found the creature Sarah hurt earlier fully recovered.

The creature tackled Sarah to the ground and tried to force it's fangs to take a bite on her skin. Sarah struggled with all her might to avoid it biting her.

"Die!" Kadori shouted, slaming a huge plank on the creature's head, forcing it to get off Sarah.

"Let's go!" Sarah ordered, grabbing Kadori's arm and the duo ran out through the front door.

Outside was also crowded with people trying to save their lives, and the creatures biting and turning them .

"This way!" Kadori pointed,"Uncle Duncan is in that area."

The duo began to run, dodging attacks from the creatures while running. Families running eltersketter, abandoning their fellow loved ones. Everyone thinking about how to save their own skin,no time to think about saving someone else.

"Dad? Dad!" A girl cried while looking lost in the middle of disaster.

Sarah haulted her steps to see the girl crying. Catching a glimpse of the girl, she quickly recognized her. Olivia Gladstone. She was of the same age as Kadori, sporting black hair, heart like shaped face and a nice body.

The Gladstone's family was the only family who showed Kadori's family kindness, despite their family differences. The Gladstone family were wealthy people, but they were never for ones proud and treated the poor badly.

Taking pity on her,Sarah tried to approach her to help, but got stopped by Kadori.

"Mom,what are you doing? We don't have time." Kadori warned.

"We can't leave her." Sarah said, pulling her arm away from her son's and ran to approach Olivia.

"Are you okay? Where's your dad?" Sarah asked with a concerned look.

"H-h-he was taking." Olivia wept bitterly while hugging Sarah.

"It's going to be okay,Olivia, you are.." Before Sarah could finish her words, one of the creature appeared behind her and bit down on her fresh shoulder.

"Mom!" Kadori cried, running towards them with a plank in his hand. When he got in striking distance,he slammed the plank on the creature's head, but it still refused to take it's mouth off her shoulder.

Kadori took out his small knife from his pocket and stabbed the head with all his strength. Finally, the creature let go of her and fell down, but not dead.

"No,no" Kadori cried, kneeling down beside his mother. The wound inflicted by the fangs were now becoming black, black veins now appearing on her body.

"Go,Kadori, you both should find Uncle Duncan and be safe." Sarah managed to speak, her face twisting in strange ways and her bones began to crack.

"No,mama,i-i can't leave you!" Kadori cried.

"It's okay,Kadori,It's okay. Now go, and don't forget i'll always love..."

Sarah's body began to shake uncontrolably, making the two teenagers to flinch. Her body began to twist and bone cracking sound could be heard.

"I am sorry..i am sorry." Kadori cried, turning his head backwards to see her for the last time before running off.

People enrering into a large ship that was waiting for them in the river, eveyone rushing in quickly to avoid it getting full and end up left behind to face those vicious creatures.

"Where are you." Uncle Duncan pondered, scanning the people rushing into the ship while he stood at the top of the ship. He was checking if he would spot Kadori.

Amidst the crowd,a skinny looking boy could be found, wearing a sad face. Spotting him,Uncle Duncan came down from the ship and smuggled Kadori and his friend in.

"Where's your mother?" Uncle Duncan asked,Kadori just stood there in silence as tears rolled down his cheek. Uncle Duncan quickly got the message. She was dead.
