The King grunted as the golden glow in his eyes dimmed for a moment but it had lit back, far brighter than usual.
“How, how can you summon so much power without blood” the Queen exclaimed staggering back as the wind generated from the spiraling dome threatened to pick her off her feet, it was a terrifying tornado.
Within the tornado, the Vampire King rose before speaking, “I am not like you, I have experience the terror of the outside world and have grown” he spoke before turning towards the five Vampires, “you guys are guilty, but forgiven because the Vampire race needs more Royals not less” he said before turning to the Queen, “as for you, your fate will be decided by him” he said before the glow in his eyes started to dim and this time, it did not lit up again.
The King softly landed on the ground as the cyclone slowly dissipated. Suddenly, the King grunted falling unto his knees and his body was turned greatly shrunken as if he had aged greatly within this few seconds. In fact that wasn’t far from true, King Axim had a special ability of tapping into his very life force and with it, he could boost his power to any level. The more he used his life force however, he got nearer he got to death and just now, the king had tapped into his little remaining life force to summon the gigantic cyclone.
“Thanks Father, I will take over from here” Ushar spoke from behind, his voice chilling.
The Queen eyes were also most popping out of their socket as she watched Ushar terrifying transformation.
She had thought the demonic bone demon which Ushar had earlier transformed into was hideous but the creature in front of her now was something she could not understand.
Ushar still had the white bony armor over his body but now, it had melded into his body like a second skin not revealing the tiniest gap. On his head, the bony armor had developed a helmet and through the helmet, two large horn jutted out. Sharp spikes also ran from the top of the helmet down his back and in front of him two rows of spikes ran down from his shoulder right to his knees with the spikes on the knees being even more prominent than the rest.
In his hand, the bone demon held a gigantic bone sword and in the other, a round shield could be seen.
“Father doesn't want you five killed so I won’t come after you, but don’t try to stop me” Ushar spoke before blasting towards the Queen whose face turned frantic.
“Don’t fall for his words, we need to destroy him!” She shouted at the five but after exchanging brief glances, they swiftly retreated and the Queen’s eyes widen.
“Useless” she spat as Ushar’s sword fell upon her from above.
A dense red aura immediately materialized around her body and she swerved to the side in a moment avoiding the attack but Ushar seems prepared for this and he threw the shield his hand spinning right towards her head.
The Queen was caught off guard as she felt the terrifying force slammed into her head sending her staggering forwards before Ushar blasted after her, his sword swinging again into her head and this time she could not avoid it, her head was sent flying off her body.
Ushar however knew this did not spell death for the Queen, if the head were place back she would still revive.
“I will give you no chance to survive” he said before grabbing her head and soon, it crumbled in his hand before melding into the bones on his body.
Moving towards her body as well, he grabbed it and soon the body was reduced to a boneless mush as well.
Slowly, the bones on his body receded into him and soon, Ushar was back to his real self, half naked in a small pant. Then he turned towards his father who could barely stand by the side, his hair had turned entirely white while his face had more deep freckles on it.
The King looked at him for a moment before sighing, “Forgive me son” he eventually spoke.
Soundlessly, Ushar looked away from him before walking off.
“If possible, I would love you to look for a way, a way so the Vampires don’t have to depend on humans for survival anymore” he heard his father spoke from behind him and Ushar paused for a moment, “you heard me right son, this is my last request” the man said before turning back towards the palace.
“What the hell are you spouting father?” Ushar thought looking back to his departing father, the King shoulder which had been wide just moments ago was now shrunken. Now, the King would without doubt have to go into slumber, and maybe in thousands of years later, he would wake up a vibrant vampire again.
Ushar sighed looking around before seeing some bones scattered across the ground. Those were his mother’s bones and he would not watch them waste away.
Slowly, he gathered the bones in a pile before sitting down and staring intently at them, Ushar did not know how much time had passed but the realization had eventually struck him, his mother was gone and gone for good.
Hugging the pile of bone to his body, he stood before looking around.
Fortunately, few buildings in the human settlement had been destroyed and many humans were still safe in the rest, Ushar thought before his face stiffened.
“Uh, when did I start caring about the humans?” he muttered, before chuckling, no matter what, his mother was human so he was also partly human, hating humans was also hating himself.
“It’s, it’s the bone demon, he is coming” Ushar suddenly heard a voice whispered from within one of the buildings and several terrified gasps rang out before the place turn deathly silent.
“Some humans are there” he thought before walking towards the place.
Ushar reached a door on which he knocked but there was no single response, the human seems to be trying to hide, an attempt failed before it even began.
“Hey, I understand you guys are scared and all, but it’s actually okay, I am not here to hurt you so please, just open the door” he said, trying to be as calm as possible.
However, other than the quickening heart and erratic breathes, he got no response.
“Okay, let’s put it like this, I looked terrifying earlier but I wasn’t trying to hurt you, I was only after the Vampire Queen who killed my mother. The Vampires are your enemy, right? And since I killed their Queen we can both agree that I am their enemy and the enemy of your enemy is your friend. Think about it, I am your friend” he explained himself but even still, all he got was silence. He could however feel the quickening hearts and erratic breaths were turning nromal, his words were having some effects.
“Actually, I need somewhere safe in the human settlement to bury the bones of my mother, Eleanor. Please, help me.” Ushar spoke again and he could hear subtle movement within room. It sounded hesitant, timid, and light.
“Don’t open that door Dunn.” A voice whispered in the room but the door had been opened right after and to Ushar surprise, it was a young boy who looked about twelve years that had finally heeded his call.
“Are you Madam Eleanor’s son?” the boy immediately asked on opening the door. He tried to hide his fear but Ushar could see it, the boy’s eyes were calm but his hands were trembling, his heart quickening with each moment.
“Yes” he nodded, “I am her son” he added looking into the boy’s eyes.
“I will help you.” The boy said before walking out of the room and closing the door behind him.

HEALERS OF THE DEMON WORLD
In the hall, Ushar could see many female demons with their back towards the hall entrance. In front of each of them, a table with several tools on them could be seen as well as a blue flame source which faintly lit up the interior of the hall casting a bluish glow on everything.“Thanks for bringing him back Erin, now join your colleagues.” A woman’s voice suddenly rang out from the other entrance which led into the interior of the hall of the hall and there, he could see a familiar face, Sola.Sola however seems to be ignoring Ushar with her gaze fixed unto the she-demon who had brought in Ushar. The timid she-demon had her head bowed as she rushed towards the last table in line which previously had no one in front of it and now she was the last person in line.Slowly, Sola walked towards the first she-demon, looking at all the tools in front of her for a moment before speaking, “what do you think about the flame.” She asked and the she-demon in front of her stared at the gently sway
SHAMAN'S HOLD
“The Shaman’s pet.” Ushar repeated before walking over to a rock outcrop below the aerial path and sitting with his back against it. The Shaman whom Gud was referring to, he was quite sure it was Sola the she-demon as he faintly remembered hearing Lugar called her something like that as well but being called someone’s pet was a novel kind of language which Ushar had never once imagined in his life could be used for him.He was a prince, the son of a king even if the kingdom was now destroyed. He was once a creature that struck terror into the mind of everyone that really knew who he was but now, he was being called a pet.Ushar gave a lengthy chuckle before slowly quieting. The blood kingdom, he had tried his best to save it but he was quite sure he failed, the Dragon must have failed to find him and eventually went back for the Vampires, or maybe he did and the Dragon was actually sent into some other strange worlds as well. But again, he remembered his nightmare in the dungeon, it h
ESCAPE
Outside the large hall, Ushar could be seen hurdled under the aerial path which he had been led to the Lugar’s palace sometimes ago.“Damn, did I really manage to evade those guards?” Ushar thought in wonder as stayed in place to note their reactions before he suddenly heard one spoke.“Hey, I think I heard something moved just now.”“Well, you are not deaf and there are hundreds of demons moving around.”“Damn, I am not even trying to play here Weah, I heard something moved by my sidejust now and judging by the vibrations, it is probably very little or very nimble.”“Sigh… okay, so what is it?”“Well, I didn’t see it you know, just heard it so I don’t really know what it is.”“You didn’t see it, it is nothing then.”“What about a bet?”“Very welcomed.”“Great. I find that rat and you get to represent me atmy next night, but if I don’t, I get to represent you at yours.”“Seriously Gud!”“Yes Weah, seriously.”“Does this bunch really know any other thing than bets?” Ushar muttered with
DREADFUL JOB
“So, how do you feel?” Ushar heard Sola asked after taking a sip from the dark liquid in the pot.[Demonic energy has been detected in user’s body][Gene upgrade can now be activated]“Hey, can you even hear me.”“Ah, yeah I can and uh… I don’t think the portion has any effect on me.” Ushar hurriedly spoke and silence followed for a moment.“You don’t think?” Sola eventually asked, breaking the silence.“Err…what was it supposed to do?” Ushar asked with unsure face.“True, why didn’t I think of that?” Sola said with a thoughtful face before adding, “It is supposed to heal actually, it is supposed to heal any wound on spot.” She stated and Ushar face slowly turned grim.“Is it, we might need to find some wounded Demon then.” He quickly suggested.“But you are my test subject not some wounded Demon, why don’t you find another method, involving you.” Sola replied and Ushar face hardened.“So I really have to stab myself or what?” He asked with a deep furrow on his face, even though he wa
NOTE SO IDLE
After giving her reply, Ushar watched Sola concentrate on whatever she was doing. Out of the several vessels in the place, she picked one large enough to hold a growing teenager and then walked back to the pool scooping the crimson liquid in it with the vessel in her hand.Staring intently into the vessel, Sola muttered some words before looking around the blue flames which formed a perimeter around them both.“Why is she looking for so long, there doesn’t seem to be any difference between those flames?” Ushar muttered in wonder and just then, Sola walked towards a flame to her side. Unlike the other flames however, this one wasn’t swaying.“Interesting…” Ushar thought as he watched Sola’s hand around the vessel started to glow bright blue light and then she lifted the vessel over the blue flame.Slowly the flame burnt brighter spreading to the sides of the vessel and Ushar cringed, that was flame! Did the she-demon not fear being burnt?Seemingly to have forgotten about his presence
EMPLOYED TO DO NOTHING
“Follow you.” Ushar repeated with slight thinned face before springing into his feet and following after the Demon. This time however, the she-demon had not turned towards the path which they had taken when leaving for the Demon Lord’s palace but another path which seems to lead into a more inward area in the place.Soon, they reached a group of stairs and staring up the platform which the stairs led unto, Ushar noticed a circumference of bluish flames dancing over the platform.“Beautiful?” He thought, quite fascinated but for some reason, the bluish flames did not seems to exude light and make the things around them more visible as they should have done, instead, they seems to cast some veils over everything else on the platform. Still marveling about this phenomenon, Ushar climbed unto the platform.Grrr…Ushar flinched on hearing the close beastly snarl as turned towards the source to see a large crocodile like monster but one with greatly developed limbs. It had a disproportionate
