Prologue: Part 2

After taking my exam number, I headed to the exam room and took a seat. Now all I had to do was wait for the inviligator. I have number 98.

As I said earlier, I've already read the books in Eva's library. And one of the books says that this test is only for the D-Level Curriculum (8 to 12 years old). This test seems like it will be easy because I already have it understood the books which is intended for A-Level (Age 25 and above). 

A few moments later, the exam supervisor came into the room saying.

"Take your seats before the exam starts," said the inviligator.

The exam supervisor raised his wand then start chant someting.

"ክፈት" he said and followed by a circle of light on his wand. From that circle of light, magic letters came out and suddenly there was a question sheet with the answer included on the our desk.

(Awesome...)

I looked at the questions quickly, and within 15 minutes, I finished my exam. I stood up, and as I stood up the inviligator said.

"What do you want to do !!? cheating!?" Said the inviligator.

I took my sheet and walked towards the examiner. The examiner pointed his wand at me and said

"Go back to your seat number 98!! "he said.

(Why is he calling me with a number!!?)

I kept walking towards him and gave him my sheet, and he was surprised. the inviligator said

"Are you done?" he said

I nodded, and he checked my test sheet. The inviligator was surprised by my answers on my answer sheet.

(Hopefully, I can get into this school)

Everyone was noisy inside, and lots of people were whispering about me.

When they left the written exam room, it turned out that Cheilos and Vanessa and five other students had finished their exams first.

(They're really fast)

I approached them and said

"yo Cheilos, Vanessa you guys finished first, huh!?" I greeted them excitedly.

"Of course, the test was not difficult" said Cheilos

"What about your test Oz?" Vanessa said

"It's so easy!!" I said

"Easy, huh..." Vanessa said, looking at me with a smiling face then she looked at Cheilos and kept smiling at Cheilos. Cheilos was quite surprised by Vanessa's gaze towards him. Some of the other five people whispered while I was talking to them.

(Did I say something wrong?)

After the that, everyone is asked to come to the hall. When everyone had gathered in the hall, the principal, or you could say my guarantor give a short speech welcome to the prospective students.

After that, she looked at me with a little smile, and I smiled back. After that, the inviligator took over the program. He took out his wand and said

"ስክሪን ቦርድ"

Suddenly his wand emits a circle of light, and magic letters encircle his wand. After that, suddenly, a screen appeared on the stage wall of the hall showing the Top 100.

Cheilos and Vanessa got the best points, of course me and three other people earlier too. The top 6 people have 100 score, I ranked 6, Cheilos ranked 1, and Vanessa ranked 2.

When I looked to rank below me, I was surprised by their grades below me.

(It's crazy how 79 is already in the top 10, Is their education okay?)

Then I looked at the screen again. Maybe I didn't rank first because the ranking was taken from who was the fastest in completing the test. Everyone was talking to each other, and some were annoyed with the grades, and some were gossiping.

"no wonder the platinum and scarlet family by getting perfect points" said A

"Of course, we are not surprised that the Athelstan family is ranked 3rd" said B

"Heyy, don't forget the Norwood and Langham families, their families are also great to take over the 4 and 5 rank" said C

"but who's number 6 is it? Drachoid? What family name is that?" said B

"In my room earlier, there is a blue-haired boy who finished her exam first, arrogantly walking towards the inviligator. Maybe it's him." said A

"Doesn't he have any manners?" said C

(Sorry, I'm not from a well-known family. But earlier, I heard about the Platina and Scarlet families. Who are they?)

I quickly remembered and looked at the board, I was surprised that two people who were with me at the horse carriage is from distinguished families. Vanessa, who is from the Scarlet family who, is credited with stopping the war with ተራ ሰባት(Tara Shabate/Human), and Cheilos, who is from the Platina family who were frontline wizard during the war.

(Was I being rude to the two of them? No wonder people whisper when they see me talking to the two of them…)

After that, the inviligator said to gather in the school field immediately he said the next test was the practice of magic.

(Practice magic!? Why is there practice!? Isn't magic only supposed to be taught in schools!!? Was Eva lying to me!!? )

(It isn't good. The current situation is really bad. I've never studied magic before. So how can I get past this practice? )

But before the start of the magic practice, there was a short break in the hall. Everyone was getting ready with their magic equipment, and some were already heading to the field.

Before I went to the field, I thought about going to Eva's place first and headed to the principal's room. But suddenly, there was a man who blocked me at the door to the hall. From the clothes he was wearing, he looked like a professor. The professor said

"Where are you going? Mr. Drachoid?" said the professor

(he knows by my name!?)

"I want to go to the principal's office for a moment is that okay?" I said.

Then everyone who heard was shocked by what I said and started talking about me from behind.

"Who the hell is he to talk to the principal" said B

"That's the guy who got 100 in the written test" said A

"Until when will he feel arrogant just because he got a perfect score on the written test??" said C

"Maybe the principal is the backing of that person" said A

"You mean he cheated on the written test?" said C

So many people were talking about me at that time, but that was stopped by the professor earlier by saying.

"enough, everyone, it's time to start the practical test" he said

Then the professor walked away from me towards the field. And when some of the people inside had finished their break and followed the professor, they all bumped into me first and then laughed after saying 'sucks'. I was annoyed about it and wanted to challenge him there, but I couldn't win since I'm the only one who couldn't do magic.

I head towards the school grounds even though I can't do magic. While on my way, I saw a wooden stick that was just a magic wand and took it to show everyone I also had one.

When all the students arrived at the field, the inviligator divided into four groups where there were 20 people in a group.

(What should I do now!?)

All students were called sequentially according to the smallest test number to the biggest test number, I numbered 98, and I was in the 4th group. The groups were directed to a building where their respective practical tests were. The inviligator on my group is the professor who had blocked me from going to the principal's room earlier.

When we arrived at the testing room, our names were called one by one to take the test. Luckily, my name was the third last to be called.

The test first asked us to tell what material our wands were made of. Then, we were asked to cast our best magic on a black stone.

The black stone appears to be a magic stone mined in the dungeon, born from the evil emotions of Tara Shabate (a human). It's commonly used to absorb and store magic.

Then, they all show their skills with attributes they have mastered. The all atributes is fire, water, earth, wind, dark, and light. The way to do the test is to shoot magic at that black stone.
