The morning sun bathed the team’s headquarters in golden light as they returned. Elara was waiting at the entrance, her face a mix of relief and concern. "You’re safe! But… why didn’t you bring Agnos?"

Kira threw her gear bag onto the couch with a frustrated motion. "Someone shot him before we could interrogate him further."

Hansen stood near the window, eyes scanning the quiet courtyard. His body was tense, senses alert despite being in a supposedly safe place. "That wasn’t a normal shot," he murmured. "The bullet carried foreign energy."

Elara raised an eyebrow. "Foreign energy? You mean—"

"There’s another party watching us," Hansen cut her off. "And they didn’t want Agnos to talk."

Kira stepped closer to Hansen, her voice low. "You know something we don’t."

Hansen looked at her. The morning sunlight drew sharp lines across his face. "Agnos mentioned ‘those behind the curtain.’ Who do you think has the resources to develop technology that merges humans with spiritual energy?"

Hansen gave no respite. As soon as the two attackers fell, his steps shot forward, like a lightning strike. The Sky Dragon Sword in his hand vibrated even more intensely, its energy condensing until it was almost visible to the naked eye."Sky Dragon Sword Technique, First Form - Slash of a Thousand Deaths!"Hansen's shout echoed, accompanied by a terrifying visual. His sword seemed to multiply, creating thousands of sword shadows that swept across the area in front of him like a destructive storm of metal. Every shadow was an abyss of death, every slash a promise of demise. The remaining opponents, whose numbers were already few, tried to dodge in panic. Their eyes widened, filled with profound fear. They realized a completely different level of power, a chasm they could not hope to bridge. But it was all too late. The speed of Hansen's attack far surpassed their reaction capabilities. Short screams and the sounds of severed bodies were heard before everything fell silent again. No o

Wish!Like a whirlwind striking, a figure shot past Serisya at an ear-splitting speed. It was Hansen. The Sky Dragon Sword in his hand vibrated faintly, emitting a low hum like a dragon rousing from its slumber. Without any preamble, he swung his sword towards the pursuers.Boom! An explosion of golden energy slammed into the ground, forcing several of Serisya's pursuers to dodge swiftly. Dust and gravel flew up, creating a momentary smoke screen. However, those pursuers were tough. They didn't flee, only created distance, and held their positions with eyes full of vigilance. As the dust began to settle, the scene revealed a small, still-steaming crater. And across from that crater stood Hansen upright in a protective stance, his arm tightly embracing Serisya's trembling body."Thank goodness you're alright," Hansen whispered, his voice heavy yet filled with relief. His breath was still slightly labored, a sign he had just arrived in a rush. "Lucky I made it in time." His eyes, like t

Slowly, she stirred from unconsciousness. Her hand lifted to rub her heavy eyes, while her head spun violently."What… happened to me? My body… it feels shattered…" she whispered weakly, struggling to sit though her knees trembled beneath her.Her gaze swept the surroundings, realizing she was trapped in darkness lit only by faint light from cracks in the stone. Fear crept into her heart. "How could I end up here? Wasn’t I just with Hansen? Didn’t he defeat them all?"Before she could answer herself, a deep, harsh cough echoed from the shadows of the cave."Hmph."Serisya jolted. She raised her head, eyes widening

An enemy sword flew toward his head, but it only sliced through empty air. With precise calculation Hansen twisted his body, then delivered a heavy strike to his opponent’s chest.BANG!The man was hurled away, his body slamming into a boulder with the sickening crack of breaking bone. His chest was crushed; blood spurted out as his body spasmed and finally went limp. This time Hansen did not hold back—he poured all his frustration and anger into that single blow.Seeing that, the faces of the other enemies went pale. Fear lasted only a moment. The two of them continued to explore the surroundings of Black Snow Mountain. The cold wind blew fiercely, rustling the few remaining dry leaves while their footprints trailed faintly across the snow. Hansen, with his sharp eyes, observed every detail around them, as if searching for something hidden. Serisya, on the other hand, studied the rocks, the formation of trees, even faint carvings that might serve as clues."Do you see anything unusual?" Serisya asked softly as she brushed snowflakes off her sleeve.Hansen shook his head slowly. "Not yet. But… this place is definitely not ordinary. There’s a hidden pattern, it’s just not obvious yet."Serisya bit her lip, hesitating before asking again. "Do you think… my mother’s legacy is really here? Or maybe we’ve taken the wrong path?"Hansen glanced at her, his gaze calm though he concealed the unease within. "I’m certain it’s here. Your mother would have left signs for her heir. Every symbol on that map must point to something. We just
