Sophia immediately sat back down.

She stopped walking.

"What do you want?"

The smile on Daniel's face weakened.

"Straight to the point."

"You disappeared for years."

His expression darkened.

"I know."

"And now you're back."

"Yes."

"Why?"

Daniel looked directly into her eyes.

"Because I made a mistake."

Sophia frowned.

"What?"

"Leaving you."

The answer surprised her.

Daniel sighed.

"For years, I convinced myself I made the right choice."

The traffic around them continued moving.

Neither noticed.

"Then why are you here now?" Sophia asked.

Daniel hesitated.

Then he smiled sadly.

"Because I never stopped thinking about you."

For a brief moment, silence filled the air.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

For the first time, Sophia noticed something strange in Daniel's eyes.

The same look she had seen in greedy businessmen.

And suddenly, she understood.

Before she could say anything else, another luxury car stopped nearby.

The driver stepped out.

"Am I interrupting something?"

Sophia immediately shook her head.

"No."

Daniel extended his hand.

Ethan looked at the hand for several seconds before shaking it.

"Daniel Carter."

The atmosphere instantly became tense.

Standing face to face.

Daniel smiled.

"I've heard a lot about you."

Ethan smiled back.

"I wish I could say the same."

Sophia nearly laughed.

Daniel's jaw tightened.

She nodded politely.

Without another word, he returned to his car and left.

As the vehicle disappeared into traffic, Ethan looked at his wife.

"Old boyfriend?"

Sophia nearly choked.

"How did you know?"

Ethan laughed.

"I own half the companies in Seoul."

She rolled her eyes.

"That's not an answer."

"It's enough of an answer."

They entered the car together.

As Ethan drove, Sophia stared out the window.

Something about Daniel's return bothered her.

Meanwhile, several streets away, Daniel sat inside his vehicle.

His friendly smile had completely vanished.

The driver glanced at him through the mirror.

"Sir?"

Daniel looked toward the city skyline.

His eyes were cold.

"So that's Ethan Reed."

"Yes."

The driver hesitated.

"What now?"

A slow smile appeared on Daniel's face.

"I take back what's mine."

The driver looked confused.

"But she's married."

Daniel laughed.

"We'll see about that."

What Daniel didn't realize was that Sophia was no longer the woman he left behind.
