A bright yellow sports car pulled up in front of Savannah’s house. She and her best friend, Dora, got out. Jett, the driver, followed behind them and jogged over to Savannah, pulling her into a hug.
Savannah was dressed in a skimpy dress with heavy makeup, and Dora looked the same. They met Jett at the club the night before after Savannah had texted him. He had been interested in Savannah for a long time, and when she finally reached out to him, he was thrilled. He took her to a bar with his friends, and she invited Dora along. After some time at the bar, they all went to the club. Jett kissed Savannah on the lips, holding her tight and she wrapped her arms around him, kissing him back. Dora giggled as she watched. After a moment, Dora cleared her throat. “I’m still here, guys, in case you forgot,” she said with a smirk. Jett pulled away, looking at Savannah. “I’ll let you go before I drag you back into my car,” he said. “I’ll see you again, right?” Savannah smiled, tapping his chest. “Of course, we’ll meet again.” Jett winked and got into his car, driving off. Once he was gone, Dora grabbed Savannah’s arm. “What’s going on with you and Jett?” she asked, her voice full of curiosity. “It’s only been one night, and now he’s already asking when you’ll meet again. What did you do!? He’s suddenly wrapped around your finger.” Savannah rolled her eyes. “Oh, please. We’re just friends. Nothing more.” “Friends?” Dora laughed. “Just friends, and he was kissing you like that? I even had to stop you two before you started tearing each other’s clothes off. Friends my foot!” Savannah sighed. “Enough, Dora. You’re overthinking it.” “Oh, so now I’m overthinking? You think I didn’t notice when the both of you left the club quietly? You disappeared for three hours! I was worried, but now, after seeing that kiss earlier, I’m more curious than concerned. Where did you go, Savannah? What did you two do? I need answers!” Savannah said nothing. She just smiled. “Huh? Is that a smile?” Dora gasped. “Oh my God, Savannah! I hope it’s not what I’m thinking. Did you sleep with Jett last night?” she screamed. Savannah blushed and quickly covered her ears. “Would you stop screaming? If you keep saying nonsense, I’m going inside,” she snapped, walking to the front door. Dora was right, to an extent. She and Jett had almost slept together. They made out and had a wild, steamy night. It helped her forget the argument with Nolan. She needed a distraction, and Jett had provided it. Savannah opened the door and froze. “Why aren’t you going in? What’s wrong?” Dora asked, puzzled by her friend’s sudden stop. “Nolan is here,” Savannah replied coldly. Dora’s eyes widened. Without a second thought, she pushed Savannah aside and stormed into the house, her eyes locking on Nolan. “What’s going on, Savannah?” Dora asked angrily. “Didn’t you break up with him? What is he doing here again?” She turned to Nolan and gave him a disgusted look, her eyes trailing up and down as if he were dirt under her shoes. She had never liked him and always told Savannah she deserved better. “Hi, Savannah,” Nolan said with a soft smile, ignoring Dora completely. “Why are you here?” Savannah asked, her tone flat. “I came to talk to your mom about our wedding again. Things didn’t end well last time, and I want to fix that,” Nolan replied, scratching the back of his head. “Fix what? What a joke!” Dora exploded. “Don’t you have any pride at all? Don’t you get it? Can’t you take a hint? See you crawling back like some desperate stray. Savannah’s done with you! She’s not interested in you anymore and she has moved on! Why are you still here, trying to force something that’s already dead? Why so desperate!? You’re so pathetic annoying and disgusting!” “This is between me and Savannah,” Nolan said, his voice rising. “I don’t see why you think you have a say in this, mind your business.” “I’m not just anyone,” Dora shot back. “I’m her best friend. It’s my job to protect her from losers like you. I won’t stand by while my friend throws her life away on someone who can’t even stand on his own feet.” “You have no future, no ambition, and no class. You’ve always been a failure and I won’t let my friend settle for one. Just give it a rest and crawl back to whatever gutter you came from.” Nolan clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. He had known for a long time Dora didn’t like him, but this was too much. “Dora’s right,” Savannah added, her voice emotionless. “I’ve tolerated you for so long, and I’m done. I need someone who values me.” Nolan tried to speak, but she cut him off. “I don’t want to hear anything else. And if you didn’t hear me clearly before, let me say it again. I’ve never loved you, Nolan. I only kept you around because I was bored. I needed someone to pass time with, but now I’m done. So stop trying and also, stop embarrassing yourself. This thing between us was never real to me. It was just a game and you were the fool who thought it meant something.” Nolan burst into laughter, shaking his head in disbelief. “That can’t be true. We were in love, Savannah. Where is all this coming from? Don’t you remember? The late-night calls, the promises we made? We talked about our future, our marriage, building a life together, growing old side by side. I was ready to give you everything I had. I gave you my heart.” “How can you stand there and act like none of it meant anything? Like I meant nothing? Was it all a lie? Was I just a fool in love while you were pretending the whole time? I refuse to believe that.” Then realization hit him. “You’re still angry, aren’t you? Angry because I didn’t sell my aunt’s land to pay for the wedding? I get it now. But I’ve fixed it.” He grabbed the bag beside him, unzipped it, and pulled out wads of cash, placing them on the table. “There’s enough here for everything. The entire list. The wedding. Everything.” He looked into her eyes, his voice softer. “Don’t you want to reconsider what you just said?”

Chapter 19
If Jett really wanted to prove himself, he would have to pay for everyone here and that was the only way to keep up the act. Still, he didn’t want to show that he was panicking. So he straightened his shoulders and put on a smile again.“Alright,” he said quickly, pulling his arm from Savannah’s grip. “You guys wait here. I’ll go talk to the butler and sort everything out.”He turned around and started walking slowly toward the reservation desk, each step heavier than the last. His hands were in his pockets, his fingers nervously tapping his phone. He was already thinking of ways to talk himself out of this without looking like a coward.Behind him, the girls watched with big smiles on their faces, proud of him like he was some kind of king.Jett walked up to the butler with slow steps, trying not to look nervous. His heart was beating fast, and he quickly looked back over his shoulder to check if Savannah or any of the others were following him. Luckily, they were all still standing
Chapter 18
A man dressed in a neat black butler uniform stepped out from a hallway. He had white gloves on and a small notebook in his hand. With a polite smile, he walked toward the group and gave a small bow before speaking.“Good afternoon, everyone,” he said with a warm, professional tone. “Are you here for the grand opening event of the hotel, or are you just here to dine at the restaurant?”The group all turned to him. Jett stepped forward confidently and gave the man a quick look from head to toe, like he was sizing him up.“Just talk to me,” Jett said, waving a hand as if he didn’t want the man to look at the others. “I’m the one in charge here. What exactly is happening today?”The butler gave a polite nod. “Of course, sir,” he replied, keeping his voice calm and respectful. “Today is the official launch of the hotel and as part of the celebration, we also have our restaurant open for special guests.”He flipped open his small notebook and checked something quickly before looking up aga
Chapter 17
“Excuse me, what’s your business here?” The bouncer asked firmly.Sonya blinked like she hadn’t heard him right. “What did you just say?”The bouncer stood straight and repeated himself. “What’s your business here? This entrance is for guests only.”Sonya’s face turned red. “Do you know who I am?” she snapped, planting her hand on her hip. “My uncle works here, and he’s not just anybody! If he hears that you stopped me, you’re going to lose your job today, you fat, bald idiot!”Sariah nodded quickly, backing her up. “Yeah, you clearly don’t know who you’re talking to.”But the bouncer didn’t move. He didn’t even pay attention to what she was saying. He kept his hand up and didn’t let them pass.Jett, Savannah, and Dora stopped behind the twins, looking confused. Sonya had promised that getting in would be easy since her uncle worked at the hotel, and now they were being blocked.Sonya’s mouth tightened, and she pulled out her phone angrily. “Ugh! I can’t believe this,” she hissed. “He

“Where exactly are you even going that you’re calling it a place where I can’t be on the same level as you or that I wouldn’t be able to afford to go?” Nolan asked, folding his arms tightly. His voice was still calm, but his eyes showed that he was burning with anger inside. Normally, he would’ve walked away. Normally, he would’ve just let it slide but today was different.Jett moved closer to Nolan, standing right in front of him like he was trying to make him feel small. He folded his arms, raised his chin, and looked at Nolan like he was nothing.“This isn’t just some regular hotel, alright?” Jett said slowly, like Nolan was too dumb to understand. “This is a five-star place. A real luxury hotel. People who stay there have money, real money. People who wear designer clothes every day, not just on special occasions.”Nolan didn’t back down or step back. He stood his ground and kept his arms crossed, his jaw clenched tight. But inside, he was trying to hold himself back from hitting
Chapter 15
“So… you all expect me to cry over a woman?” Nolan asked, raising a brow. “Is that what this is about? That I’m supposed to be sad and broken just because Savannah isn’t mine anymore?”He shook his head and let out a small laugh even though deep down, he was pained and still sad. “That doesn’t even make sense,” he said. “Do you know how many women I could have right now if I wanted to? I’m not heartbroken. Trust me. I just don’t chase people who don’t want me.” For a second, there was silence. Then Dora stepped forward with a scowl on her face.“You’re such a scum, Nolan,” she snapped, arms folded tightly across her chest. “How could you say that? It hasn’t even been two days since you and Savannah broke up! And now you’re talking about having women around you like she’s just some random person?”Nolan didn’t say anything, but Gabriel, who was standing beside him, let out a loud scoff.“Oh please,” Gabriel said, clearly annoyed. “Are you kidding me right now? Can’t you see that Sava
Chapter 14
Nolan stepped out of the store first, his hands in his pockets, happy with how everything played out. Gabriel followed right behind him. “That,” Gabriel said, clapping Nolan on the back with a grin, “was legendary. I mean, wow. I didn’t expect you to do that. You really had me thinking Fiona was going to walk out with that bag.”He shook his head, still impressed. “But seriously, where the hell did you get that kind of money from? What are you not telling us? I’m so confused and curious at the same time”Nolan chuckled under his breath, the corners of his lips twitching. “It’s a long story,” he said, glancing at him. “But don’t worry. I’ll tell you about it soon.”Gabriel opened his mouth to say more, but then, Cole walked out of the store with a heavy sigh. He ran his hand through his hair and shook his head, looking like he hadn’t recovered from what just happened.“I just hope Fiona doesn’t hold a grudge over all this,” He muttered quietly, avoiding Nolan’s eyes.Gabriel turned to
