Chapter 19- peerless

___At the center of the room was a giant stone lab, on top of that stone slab was a silver-haired sleeping beauty___

Bao moved closer to the stone slab; he had sensed the jade pendant and Yue's presence before entering this room.

"Was she already in this state when she came here?" Bao asked the princess

"No, she was fine, she just passed out near the transmission gate, changes occurred after she entered this hallowed area." The princes replied

[How could I be so careless, I should've noticed that the jade pendant didn't lose its energy but was absorbed by Yue]

The change in her body was most likely caused by the absorption of a large amount of spirit energy when she entered this area, which caused her hair to turn silver white and some minor changes in her inner body.

Bao sensed Yue's inner world, and there he saw things he had never seen before: all the absorbed energy was gathering at the center, where a vortex was formed and a core was forming on its own without anyone's intervention.

Yue was close to forming a core in a single day, with no instruction or guidance. This can only be described as peerless talent. She was a heaven's chosen one, but calling her that would be an insult; she was something more; even the heavens would envy her talent.

Yue had already surpassed everyone Bao knew in the immortal world in terms of cultivation talent; even the ancient emperor's abilities paled in comparison. His immortal past self would be inferior in front of her; she truly was peerless in this regard.

If Yue was born in the immortal world, she would undoubtedly live the life of a peerless immortal emperor, suppressing everyone beneath her for countless generations. Bao got goosebumps thinking of Yue sitting on the throne of a supreme being ruling the immortal world and ascending towards The God's domain.

However, talent is not the only factor required to become supreme; wisdom and a strong will are also required. Other factors to consider included talent and destiny. Bao eventually withdrew his divine sense from her.

"As you may have guessed, this is not the planet you live on," the princess explained.

"Then where is this location?"

"This is the celestial body closest to Prithvi," the princess replied.

"You mean this is the moon!"

"Yes, you are currently on the dark side of the moon, and there is a concealing array above,"

"Does tribulation descend in this location?" Bao inquired because Yue was likely to form a Golden core or superior, which would necessitate tribulations.

"No, the moon has a very thin atmosphere, so it cannot trap heat, and tribulation cannot descend here because of the absence of elements like wind, clouds, and rain," the princess replied.

"What is your name? You are neither a human nor a spirit "Bao asked the princess

"I am the moon's guardian; I don't have a name, but people in Prithvi know me as the moon princess Kaguya." The princess responded.

The moon princess Kaguya is a well-known historical literary tale that has been passed down from generation to generation since the 10th century. Bao had also read about it when he was younger. There were several versions of Princess Kaguya's stories, the most famous of which was The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.

"Isn't Kaguya, the moon princess, just a fairytale? Are you, as stated, immortal?"

"It depends on your definition of immortality, for mortal I could be considered an immortal"

"I have visited the Prithvi twice, on my second visit I accepted Lan'er as my disciple"

"then people created a different version of me in their tales," the princess responded

"You said you're the moon's guardian; are there other guardians like you?"

"Yes, other celestial bodies Also have guardians" "Before you ask another question, I have a request, if you will listen?" said the princess

"I'll make a decision after hearing,"

"I've never seen such a talented human before; I'd like to take her as my disciple,"

"Why do you want her to be your disciple? You already have a high mortal as your disciple"

"My disciple has reached her limits and cannot go any further," the princess responded.

"Do you believe there are higher stages than the high mortal?" Bao asked.

"Yes, I believe so; there is unquestionably a higher stage than high mortal," the princess replied.

"What makes you think so?"

"The universe is larger than we can imagine; there must be a place outside this galaxy where life exists, and there must be stages higher than the high mortal," the princess responded.

"Why do you believe in extraterrestrial life? Have you ever met them?"

"No, we haven't met them yet,"

"but you humans are the main proof of extraterrestrial life." the princess replied,

"What exactly do you mean?"

"Human ancestors were not originally from this place; they were all brought here by someone from an unknown place,"

"Later, before they died, those ancestors wrote everything they knew about their world, and religions were formed corresponding to the gods they used to serve." the princess explained.

"Are you saying that all myths and fairytales in the human world are true?"

"Mostly yes," the princess replied, "but after many generations, stories change and a new one appears, just like mine."

"Suppose she became your disciple; how would you plan to leave this galaxy?" Bao asked

"We have our ways; all you have to do is agree with us,"

"Why did you tell me all this?"

"As her husband, you are bound to follow," the princess replied

Apart from the celestial body's guardian, Bao knew the majority of the information. He simply wanted to put her knowledge to the test.

"However, I cannot agree to your request,"

"why? Do think about it, she might be the one to lead us all out of here. Don't you want to go explore other galaxies besides the Milky Way? " said the princess

"Enough, we're not going to discuss this,"

"Take your time thinking about it," the princess said as she and her disciple exited the room.

"Princess, why did you let that person stay after he was so rude to you?" her disciple asked

"Didn't you see his eyes? He wasn't surprised or afraid when he came here, and he showed no emotion or hesitation while speaking to me, he was calm and indifferent to his surroundings,"

"Princess, what do you mean?" her disciple asked

"If one does not fear anything, he is either brave or has some loose screws; he definitely was not the latter."

"Don't be rude to him the next time," the princess advised.

"Princess, you're saying he was stronger than the high mortal, but he was only at the grandmaster stage?"

"I'm not sure, but those eyes aren't of someone benevolent,"

Princess Kaguya lived for a long time and was a wise being; she met many people of various races as well as historical figures. She could tell good from bad with a glance, so she knew from his actions that he was dangerous and not benevolent. She could see Bao's emotions because she was a special being. He was void of emotion like Buddha, but Buddha was benevolent, whereas Bao was not.
