Chapter 20- Decision

Bao was alone in the room after the princess and her disciple had left, staring at Yue's sleeping face. "Fate cutting," Bao cautiously lifted his three fingers. Although he couldn't entirely sever her fate with his current strength, he could at least momentarily delay it.

If she took the path of immortality, she would truly become someone respected as supreme. But Bao didn't want to see her hand stained with blood. The path to supremacy is a treacherous and long one. With the passage of time and the loss of family and friends, one's feelings will fade.

Everything must be abandoned, including family, friends, and feelings. These things will just develop a heart demon and obstruct their progress. Bao didn't want Yue to go through all of that, therefore he intended to save her from such a terrible fate. He wanted her to die naturally rather than endure a long life of suffering.

Time passes slowly.

In the end, he didn't change her fate; he simply couldn't harm her in any way. He sat next to her and, using his divine sense, he stabilized her core forming process while refining her energy into a purer form.

On Prithvi already a week has passed, although there was nothing to measure time on this dark side of the moon.

Bao and Yue had remained in the same room. Bao assisted her in purifying all of the energy so that it was pure and free of impurities. It was only a matter of time before she formed a core.

With Yue in this state, it would be difficult for her to withstand tribulation if it were to descend. However, because tribulation does not reach this location, Bao did not sever her fate or prevent her from establishing a core.

Slowly, the quasi-core began to expand. The center of that core was gathering all of the energy. After it had grown to a particular size, Bao used his soul power to assist her in compressing that core. It shrank gradually, until it was the size of a cricket ball. It was then compressed from the size of a lemon to the size of a marble. The end result was a pitch-black core. It began to show signs of cracking on both sides. It was more like shedding than a crack.

Waves of energy began to emanate from those cracks, and everything around her began to shake. The room first trembled, then the entire palace began to shake with the second wave of energy. Then came the final wave of energy, which shook the entire moon for a split second. It shifted the moon's revolution time by one minute. All those dark shells vanished along with the previous wave.

Only a golden marble-sized ball remained after all the shell-like components vanished. It was a perfect golden core. However, unlike other golden cores, it was surrounded by clouds of hue.

[As legend has it, the Taiyi cloud of the beginning was real]

That hue of cloud was a Taiyi cloud. According to legend, this energy appeared shortly after the creation of the universe. Bao once met someone who was still alive to share such a story.

It was to be expected with Yue's talent and Bao's assistance. The reason Bao didn't have the Taiyi cloud when he formed a core was because he formed a mortal core, which was two tiers inferior to the golden core. From bottom to top: mortal core, earth core, and golden core. However, not every golden core formation master could achieve the cloud of hue that she did. Even in the past, only a few people attained this level. They can be counted on one hand.

Because of the uproar caused by Yue's breakthrough, the princess and others arrived at the door.

"What happened?" "What caused the palace to shake?" The princess asked.

"You can see for yourself,"

"This is a golden core," the princess said.

Yue's core was still visible to others because she had only recently broken through.

"My disciple's core was not like this when she was at the grandmaster stage." "What is the name of this core?" the princess asked

"This is known as the golden core, the peak of the grandmaster level," Bao explained.

"I've never heard of such a core; how do you know this?"

"Just because you haven't seen something doesn't imply it doesn't exist. As you said, there are things beyond your knowledge, including the possibility of an extraterrestrial presence."

"You are not required to know how I know this."

"Make a bath for her," Bao told the princess

The princess then directed the other guards to prepare a bath. A water tube was prepared near the stone slab. Bao and the others exited the chamber, leaving only the princess's disciple to bathe Yue.

"Have you thought about making her, my disciple?" The princess asked again.

"Do not misunderstand this, It's not that I don't want her to accept master, it's just that you can't teach her anything."

"Anything you teach her is just a waste of her talent," Bao told the princess

Although it was difficult for her to hear, it was true. Anything Yue learned in this mortal world would be a waste of her time, given her talent.

"Tell me, you only asked if she could be your disciple all this time, but why didn't you ask me to be your disciple?"

"This....."

"Is my talent insufficient to be your disciple?"

"No, it's not that I don't want you as my disciple, but"

"A person who is his own master cannot tolerate another boss," responded the princess.

The princess did not tell him openly that, she could see through one's nature. She didn't want to bring herself down by accepting such a person as a disciple. She was afraid of him; she saw him as an evil entity hidden behind that humane face.
