Mello got outside to get the shock of his life.

There was so much crowd that it looked like the whole city decided to reside at one location.

There was camera flashes and shouts everywhere.

People were trying to get close to him but the military held them back, keeping his face well hidden.

They made way for him till he got to his car which swiftly drove out.

As soon as the car got out of the building, Mello heaved a sigh.

The thought of the dangerous man at the Conference still bothered him and he decided to ask Ana.

"The huge man at the meeting, who was he?" He asked, facing her direction.

"It will be fine if you don't know, Mello. I'll have it settled," Ana answered and continued working on her tablet.

"Oh ok," Mello said and tried peering through the tinted window but his view was obscured.

He decided to rest his head back, letting time pass.

After driving for minutes, soon they came to a stop and securities approached them.

They instantly bowed on seeing her.

She showed them a black card and they instantly lifted the barrier and the militants moved aside.

"A black card?" Mello thought to himself.

He thought she said there were only two of it in Los Angeles and how come she has one as well.

It could be that his father decided to give her some special privilege.

"Welcome to Dally Valley Island, you can go ma'am," Mello heard one of them say as the car drove past.

His ears straightened.

Dally Valley island?

A whole Dally Valley?

He had always heard of the island.

It was a place only the richest of the rich can afford.

It is rumored to take years and years of fortune to acquire the smallest land on the island.

He tried to look out but the tinted glass showed him no mercy.

He turned to Ana.

"What are we doing here?" He asked with eyes wide open.

Ana noticed his excitement and smiled.

"This is where you'll be staying now."

"What?! Do you know how expensive this place is, that money is enough to feed half of Los Angeles... I can't stay here to waste such money for a stay no matter how rich I might be,"

Ana smiled, making him wonder what was funny.

"Your father owns this island, I think you'll be more shocked when you figure out other things your father owns in this city," she said and he swallowed his gulp.

It made him realize how rich his father must be to acquire such treasure and yet, it was just one of his many.

The thought struck him as he kept quiet to himself, thinking.

Soon they got to a stunning mansion and the car stopped.

It was all glass and sparkled as the evening sun hit its walls.

Mello wowed as he got down.

"This is your new home now, it's for your safety, it won't take long before your former location is discovered and we had to change everything since you made some enemies now. Your father specifically selected this for you, it is one of the most secured mansions on the island," Ana replied.

Mello nodded.

He knew she was referring to the people at the board meeting.

But Mello was confused, why should he be scared of someone that worked under him?

But he didn't ask.

They walked in and for the next thirty minutes, she didn't say anything, just telling the guards where to put things and making sure everything was in place.

Mello took the time to examine the place.

The place was more beautiful and made it look like he was in paradise.

And when he's not admiring, he would sneak peek glances at Ana.

He must admit she's doing a lot to take care of him.

Their eyes met at intervals and He had to pretend to be looking the other way.

When she was through, she walked to him.

"You will be guarded 24/7, you are not allowed to go out till Friday.. someone would be here tomorrow to be making your dishes and here is your new cellphone," she said and gave him a telephone that looked like it must have taken thousands to acquire.

"It's almost late so I'll take my leave now," she said and started to walk out.

Mello just watched.

He never understood her.

No matter how he tried to build a normal relationship with her, she still can't stop seeing him as his father.

He sat well on the couch and scrolled through his new phone.

There was no sight of his old contacts, not even Lisa.

And the thought stung his heart.

Even though she hurt him. He still can't deny how much he wanted her.

Somewhere that night, At the Beverly mansion.

Sir Ren sat with his hands crossed, thinking.

There were guns and empty cigarette packs all over the table.

There were also few pictures of Mello on it.

Guards were all over the room.

Some of his thugs were also present.

He hit his fist hard on the table and stood up. Some of the guards trembled due to fear.

"How dare he embarrass him? Does he know who I am?!" Sir Ren screamed and the men hurriedly bowed.

All his life, he had always been the one doing the humiliation and not the other way round.

He still remembered the look his partners gave him at the board meeting after the mysterious man left.

He could clearly see they were relieved to see him been challenged.

And because of that, he's going to show them he still controls the city.

He raised his head with disdain.

"Bring me Alex," he yelled and one of his men ran off and returned with a boy holding a computer in both hands.

Alex was his most skilled tracker and the only one that can dig out information about anything in seconds.

"Boss," Alex said walking closer.

"Find out who that man is... I want to know everything about him to the last details," he yelled pointing to the pictures.

Alex nodded and began inputting things on his computer.

After a few minutes, his computer made a beep and he looked up.

"There's no record of him sir, nothing in the CIA database matched his identity. It appears every news, photos and trace of him had been deleted from the net. Making it look like he never existed. In short, an internet ghost," Alex said and Sir Ren fumed.

"What do you Mean by there's nothing about him! No location? Nothing?" Sir Ren was getting impatient.

"It seems he's affiliated with the Elite X, sir," Alex replied.

"What's the Elite X?" Sir Ren inquired in a rage.

"They are the top 1% of the world, secret powerful individuals that every piece of information about them is heavily guarded and would require special access from the president and CIA before it can be accessed," Alex explained.

"Bullshit!," Sir Ren exclaimed, scattering the table. He didn't believe there was such a thing right in a city where he ruled.

And the only person he knew that had that kind of status and power in that city was President Buster.

Not even him had that much power.

He knew he had to get to the bottom of this.

He would not let just anyone overthrow him in this struggle for power and dominance.

Only him and him alone could control the city.

And if he couldn't, then no one else would.

Mello smiled politely as he rose from the plush leather chair. “Thank you, President,” he said, his tone measured, careful not to let the adrenaline that still pulsed through his veins leak into his voice. He turned to leave, but before he could take more than a step, Sir Asher’s voice stopped him. “It’s late, Mello. Why don’t you stay here tonight? Get some rest.”Mello paused, his back to the man, and allowed a moment of consideration to pass. The offer was laced with something more—an unspoken test. Was this an olive branch, or was it bait? Either way, he couldn’t stay.He smiled, glancing over his shoulder. “I’m a man of time, and unfortunately, I don’t have much to spare at the moment. I appreciate the offer, though.”Sir Asher studied him for a second, then gave a curt nod. “Very well,” he replied, his face expressionless, though the calculating gleam in his eyes hadn’t faded.Mello turned and headed for the door, walking with an air of calm composure, though every nerve in his

It looked more like a city than a home. Mello settled into the plush booth, his heart pounding as he faced Sir Nerio. The Prime Minister looked polished and composed, as expected, but Mello knew beneath that facade lay a man tangled in a web of corruption. “Let’s skip the pleasantries,” Mello began, his tone firm and unwavering. “I’m not here to exchange small talk. I know about your dealings with Sir Ren.”Sir Nerio feigned confusion, raising an eyebrow. “What dealings? I’m not sure what you’re talking about, Mello. You must be mistaken.”Mello couldn’t help but smirk at the Prime Minister’s naivety. “Mistaken? Really? I have video evidence of you in a room full of drugs, discussing shipments with Sir Ren.” He pulled out his phone, swiping through the screens until he found the video. He pressed play, and the room filled with the sound of laughter echoing from the screen. The footage showed Sir Ren and Sir Nerio, surrounded by piles of drugs, their faces illuminated by the dim lights of the room.
