Mr Barnes sat in his mansion thinking about what happened at the meeting.

It was already dark but the lights in the room provided shelter for his thoughts.

He may have acquired it all.

Wealth, Status, power, influence, name it all.

But one thing he had not been in control of was his feud with Sir Ren.

Sir Ren was a dangerous man and so was he.

He still recalled how it all started.

Some years back, when he managed to lay claim on some properties that Sir Ren was also vying for.

Although sir Ren warned him to back down but he resisted.

He didn't relent not even when sir Ren once massacred his entire security at one of his hotels at one point as a warning.

He knew how tough Sir Ren was which made him spend extra bucks on making his security more grand.

He had tried multiple times to pull out dirt on him and despite doing it numerous times with no fruitful results, it dawned on him that Sir Ren happened to be above the law.

Everyone knew Sir Ren was never scared of war and was shocked for the first time to see such in his eyes at the meeting.

He had tried to push it off his mind but couldn't.

He was shocked at the confidence of the young man there and at some point, he must admit he felt scared for the young man's life.

But then again, something was not clear to him.

Who was the man and how was he able to influence decisions of the board when even Sir Dean dare say nothing.

Only president Burster had that power.

Or is he his son?

No no he only had a daughter so that can't be right.

Or Did President Buster appoint the man as a secret delegate?

He nodded his head when the last thought made sense as it also explained why Ana had to answer to him.

Just then, he heard footsteps approaching and raised his head to the direction and saw someone dressed in camo, he instantly knew it was Blake, his head of security.

He came up to him and bowed

" We managed to find nothing about him sir.." he said and Mr Barnes nodded.

" Interesting. so he's part of the Elite X, sounds like something President Buster would do. I'll like to know where this ends.." he replied.

" And any information on the attack on Deya, I want to know how it happened "

" We followed her secretly and found out she went to the club to party with a friend and the bartender drugged the wine.he was part of the Black Kings. By the time we found out it was too late , we managed to fought them back ,creating chance for deya to escape.. and who saved her afterwards is what appears to be a mystery... " He answered

" Black Kings.... I know it's you Sir Ren, and very soon you will happen to see the stuff of what I'm made of " he thought to himself.

He turned back to Blake , expressing his anger.

" I pay you guys millions and yet you guys still can't do your job properly. "

" Am sorry sir, we won't give chance for any loose ends again sir " he said and Mr Barnes nodded.

" And from tomorrow,I want the securities on Deya increased in threefold and it must be done in secret ok"he said and Blake nodded

Just then, someone also approached.

It was Deya, his daughter who yawned quietly as she approached.

" You can go " he said to Blake and Blake walked out.

" You can't sleep" He smiled as she came to sit beside himself and she nodded playfully.

She hung her head on his shoulder and he laughed.

" Me too " he added, his heart beating with joy.

He couldn't believe he almost lost her today.

" Promise me you won't sneak out without my consent again "

" I'm sorry dad, I promise " she said, eye half closed and he smiled.

He knew she was lying.

She yawned and said" my stomach is so empty "

He smiled.

" Would you like some chocolate then "

She shook her head.

" Or should I call Aileen to make you something nice"

" No... Dad"

" Really... What do you want then? "

" Hmm... We should go eat breakfast together at Mom's Foodies when it's dawn"

" No... Daddy can't do that cupcake, I'm busy"

" But you promised to take me there together and you haven't since."

" Ok fine, let's go together by the weekend " he said and the girl laughed then yawned.

" You better go have some night rest, cupcake " he said and the girl got up.

" Good night daddy"

" Good night my angel" he said and watched the girl disappeared into one of the room.

He smiled.

Every since her mother died, he was all she had.

He loved her and would make sure no harm comes to her, even if it involves doing something terrible.

It was morning and Lisa sat down in her opulent living room, with thoughts swirling in her mind.

It had been days and yet the thought of Mello still lingered in her mind.

She had a shoot that morning and couldn't bring herself to concentrate.

Every single thing in the room reminded him her of him.

Like when she went to the kitchen to make her tea which he usually does every morning for her.

Or when she finished dressing and there was no one to tell her how pretty she looked.

Or when she got home after a long shoot and there was no one to laugh or talk with.

Sometimes she would blame herself for everything.

She had been so busy these days that she completely forgot to get the divorce papers.

She was angry when she said she'll divorce him and he didn't resist or oppose.

She was thinking he would return after some few days but it seems the case was not so.

She knew her guilt will prickle her for eternity if anything bad ever happens to him.

She stood up and gulped the last content of the coffee in front of her while heading to the kitchen.

When she returned only to see her mom seating with a sly smile on her face.

There was a gentleman seated beside her.

Anger coursed through her but she held herself and went to sit facing her.

" Morning my baby girl, " her mother said, vibrating with energy and Lisa managed to mask her anger with a smile.

Ma Clarissa continued

" you know how much I love you and how far I'll go to see you happy right?" She said and Lisa nodded, managing to contain her anger.

" And that's why I brought this gentleman here, he's the manager of Relax H cosmetics and has shown interest in you and you can see he's good for you and that's why I brought him for you to-"

" Enough mom" Lisa shouted, standing up, letting her anger take over.

Shock was evident in her mother's eyes, even the man was shocked.

" Am sick and tired of all this mom... Can't you just let me breathe! You keep ruining my life under the stupid facade that you want me to have a better life, you keep bringing different men to me like I am some garbage to be dumped without caring if it hurts my pride as a woman! I don't even think I can ever forgive you again! I don't want to see you again! " Tears welling in her eyes.

Her mother stood up, realizing her guilt." Lisa, please-"

" Don't just say anything! I'm fed up of your deceits, just leave me alone please" With that, she took her silver handbag and her phone and barged out of the room leaving her standing.

But there was no room for regret now.He took a deep breath, his fingers drumming impatiently against the steering wheel. Yet, in the back of his mind, a whisper of doubt gnawed at him—would his father really let him go through with this? Or was there another twist waiting in the shadows? As he drove through the dimly lit streets, his phone buzzed on the passenger seat. He hesitated, glancing at the screen. It was a message from Zach.**"All set on my end. Sir Ren’s warehouse is under close watch. Your move now. Make it count."**Mello’s eyes narrowed, the resolv

Mello smiled politely as he rose from the plush leather chair. “Thank you, President,” he said, his tone measured, careful not to let the adrenaline that still pulsed through his veins leak into his voice. He turned to leave, but before he could take more than a step, Sir Asher’s voice stopped him. “It’s late, Mello. Why don’t you stay here tonight? Get some rest.”Mello paused, his back to the man, and allowed a moment of consideration to pass. The offer was laced with something more—an unspoken test. Was this an olive branch, or was it bait? Either way, he couldn’t stay.He smiled, glancing over his shoulder. “I’m a man of time, and unfortunately, I don’t have much to spare at the moment. I appreciate the offer, though.”Sir Asher studied him for a second, then gave a curt nod. “Very well,” he replied, his face expressionless, though the calculating gleam in his eyes hadn’t faded.Mello turned and headed for the door, walking with an air of calm composure, though every nerve in his

As Mello left Sir Nerio’s residence, he couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal hanging over him like a storm cloud. But he pushed those emotions aside; he had a mission to complete. The ride to Sir Asher’s estate was long, giving Mello time to strategize. He needed to gather more evidence, and he couldn’t let his father’s involvement cloud his judgment. When he finally arrived, the sight before him was nothing short of overwhelming. The estate loomed like a fortress, sprawling over vast acres with manicured lawns, fountains, and elaborate sculptures. It looked more like a city than a home. Mello stepped out of his car, taking a moment to adjust his suit, ensuring he looked every bit the part of a powerful player in this high-stakes game.As he approached the entrance, two guards stood at attention, their eyes scanning him with a mix of suspicion and curiosity. Mello settled into the plush booth, his heart pounding as he faced Sir Nerio. The Prime Minister looked polished and composed, as expected, but Mello knew beneath that facade lay a man tangled in a web of corruption. “Let’s skip the pleasantries,” Mello began, his tone firm and unwavering. “I’m not here to exchange small talk. I know about your dealings with Sir Ren.”Sir Nerio feigned confusion, raising an eyebrow. “What dealings? I’m not sure what you’re talking about, Mello. You must be mistaken.”Mello couldn’t help but smirk at the Prime Minister’s naivety. “Mistaken? Really? I have video evidence of you in a room full of drugs, discussing shipments with Sir Ren.” He pulled out his phone, swiping through the screens until he found the video. He pressed play, and the room filled with the sound of laughter echoing from the screen. The footage showed Sir Ren and Sir Nerio, surrounded by piles of drugs, their faces illuminated by the dim lights of the room. Even though Mr. Buster had the power to quench Sir Ren's operations, he never did. The truth was painfully clear: Sir Ren had something on him, some past dealings and evidence that kept him silent.Mello clenched his jaw, anger bubbling beneath the surface. His father, a man he had respected, was ensnared in a web of deceit, trapped by his own mistakes. It was infuriating to think that the very person who should have been a protector had chosen to align with a monster out of fear. The room was still, the atmosphere thick with tension. Mello looked at his team, their faces a mix of concern and determination. He couldn’t let this betrayal distract him. He had a mission to accomplish.“Alright, let’s focus,” he said, forcing his voice to remain steady. “So, any update on Sir Vane?” Mello asked,
