Harry pulled up in front of his agency and it was a lot bigger than he thought, it had an intricate design that exuded elegance with top-class infrastructure.
It stood out compared to other buildings surrounding it, not because it was flashier, but it just had a unique design, but then again this was one of the more expensive parts of Crestview city. Harry realized only after he arrived that he should have bought something fancy to wear so that he could leave a good first impression. The clothes he wore weren't a reflection of his new man of means status, anyone could easily mistake him for an average bum. Harry exited the car and Rita was already waiting outside to welcome him. When Harry left the car, Rita was surprised that he looked like the average college student and not her new boss. He didn't look elegant or classy and this only made her mistake this as a sign of humility and not the fact that he was just a poor student only a few hours ago. "Good day sir, I have come to personally welcome you to Savour Agency," Rita greeted with a smile but Harry was surprised that this was a genuine smile. She was truly glad to see him prompting him to wonder why but this was an insignificant detail. "Thank you…" Harry said, pausing abruptly as he looked at her name tag. "Rita, are you the one in charge of this agency?" Harry questioned but this only made Rita blush at the thought of him thinking she could hold that position not knowing that Harry was oblivious as to how a CEO should look. "I'm afraid I am not the CEO, Sir. But the CEO has been expecting you," Rita responded as she led the way. "Alright," Harry responded, he didn't know what else to say or do as he was still shocked that this was happening. Harry entered the building and the fragrance that invaded his nostrils sent him into a trance. ‘This place is so fucking fancy!’ Harry thought to himself as he was led to an office at the end of a corridor. "Miss Susan will see you now," Rita said but she emphasized the Miss as if subtly telling Harry she was single. However, Harry wasn't paying enough attention to pick up on this. He was still processing everything that was happening. Harry made his way into the room and to his surprise, there sat a woman in a light blue uniform top with a black shirt just above her knee, exposing a little bit of her thighs in the process with long socks and high heels. But the thing that got Harry's attention was how her shirt was barely able to keep those big melons on her chest in place without the buttons popping off. Harry gulped hard as he stepped inside the room, there was a transparent table separating them. ‘That was an interesting choice,’ he thought to himself. She got up the moment Harry entered, he was officially her boss and what he did to the agency was up to him however this was her moment to show him her vision. "Mr Farrow! So nice to meet you, I'm Susan!" Susan greeted, stretching her hand for a handshake. She was confident no doubt but this didn't scare Harry, he had met women like her at school and at his various jobs and they all had one thing in common, they were all stuck-up bitches. And Harry knew she was no different from them, the only reason she was like this was due to his position and it wasn't a reflection of who she was. “Susan, that's a fine name but I would like for us to get down to business," Harry knew he had to make a strong first impression. "O-Of course, please sit," Susan stammered, she didn't know why but just as Harry knew how important a first impression was, so did Susan. "You don't need to be so nervous, I'm not Count Dracula or anything nightmares are made of," Harry made a silly joke, trying his best to break the evident tension in the air. Susan was embarrassed that he noticed that, even if Harry didn't have the skill granted by the system, he would still have spotted this without a doubt. "I'm sorry, Sir," Susan quickly apologized. Harry thought she was a powerful woman when he walked in here but she was awfully submissive right now. "I have to ask you something that has been nagging at me since I came in here. Why the transparent table?" Harry couldn't hold his curiosity as it was a bizarre choice, to say the least. "The motto of Savour Agency is transparency so this is a literal demonstration that we hide nothing," Susan responded, she knew how corny this sounded but it was a clever marketing strategy. "Ah, that is pretty smart! Now that is how you get the client!" Harry was a little more excited than he should have been and Susan blushed as she didn't expect this enthusiastic reaction from him. If anything, she expected him to point out how corny it was but upon closer examination, this man was way younger than her. She kept her mouth shut as he carefully examined the document before him, thanks to the ability he had gotten from his system, he could remember everything he read almost to a fault even though he didn't quite understand what it was exactly he was reading. He immediately thought of how this would help him during tests and exams. "You know what Susan? How about I leave the technical issues to you, keep running it how you have been running and if you need anything, give me a call," Harry encouraged her and this was the best case scenario considering this allowed her to retain control over the agency without doing much of the work that comes with it. Harry snuck a peak at her chest once again when she was putting away the documents before averting his gaze. ‘Things that big should be a tourist attraction…’ Harry thought to himself. [Savour Agency Status Change: Congratulations, you just entered the top 1,000 promising modelling agency!] ‘Well, not bad I guess,’ Harry thought to himself while exiting the building. He stood and stared at the sign, wondering if he should change the name to something that speaks more to him as he didn't even know why it was called Savour. "Move it!" A voice barked at him from behind but Harry recognized this voice without even turning around. "Alicia?" Harry muttered under his breath.Latest Chapter
Chapter 128. Amongst Friends
The moment the nurses finally gave permission, Melissa burst into Harry’s hospital room like she had been holding her breath for days. Rhianon followed closely behind her, slower but just as alert, her eyes scanning the space as if she expected something else to go wrong. Both women needed to hear directly from Harry, needed to see him awake, breathing, talking. Too much had happened too fast, and neither of them could shake the feeling that danger hadn’t fully passed yet.The second Melissa laid eyes on him, all restraint vanished. She rushed forward and threw herself onto him without thinking, her arms wrapping tightly around his upper body as though she could physically anchor him to the world by force alone. For a split second, she forgot he had been stabbed, forgotten IV lines, bandages, pain. All that mattered was that he was there.“H—hey…!” Harry tried to protest, his voice strained as pain shot through every muscle that moved. His ribs screamed in protest, his torso burning w
Chapter 127. Waking Up & Lying To The Police
Harry did not regain consciousness until three full days had passed. In that short span of time, the world had not stopped moving, things had shifted, conversations had been held, decisions had been made, and consequences had quietly stacked up around him. When he finally surfaced, pain greeted him before anything else.A brutal, relentless headache pulsed through his skull, as though his brain were being crushed from the inside, contracting and expanding with merciless force. It felt like something inside his head was trying to tear its way out. The pain in his torso was just as unforgiving, a deep, raw ache that flared every time he tried to breathe too deeply. Thinking clearly was nearly impossible. His thoughts came in fragments, scattered and uncooperative. The moment his eyes fluttered open, nurses rushed in.They surrounded his bed with practiced urgency, checking monitors, reading vitals, shining lights into his eyes. Their hands moved efficiently, professionally, confirming t
Chapter 126. Bad News For Frank
Frank was riding a high that felt disturbingly familiar. It had been a long time since he’d crossed that line, since he’d let himself indulge in something so dark and visceral, but the rush surged through him all the same. When the blade sank into flesh, the sensation sent shivers crawling up his spine, every hair on his body standing on end. It was sickening, and intoxicating.Part of him wished he had done it differently.Cleaner and faster.A single bullet through the head would have been perfect. Instant and final. But circumstances hadn’t allowed that luxury. Harry had been smarter than he expected. Resourceful. Desperate people often were. Harry had forced him to expend every last round, leaving the gun useless when it mattered most. No spare cartridge. No backup plan.Frank hadn’t even anticipated needing one.Still, the end result was what mattered. Or so he believed. Harry had fought, wriggled, refused to die quietly, but in Frank’s mind, that struggle had been pointless. A f
Chapter 125. François In Danger
Rhianon and Melissa barely left the hospital that day. Hours blurred together beneath the sterile lights, the constant hum of machines, the quiet footsteps of nurses moving with practiced urgency. Rhianon had noticed the police early on, uniforms standing stiff near the nurses’ station, low voices exchanging clipped sentences, but she kept it to herself. Melissa was already barely holding on. There was no need to add fuel to a fire that was still burning uncontrollably.Eventually, though, Melissa noticed them too. By then, the worst of her panic had dulled into exhaustion, her emotions numbed by shock rather than calm. Harry was still unconscious, still unmoving, and that fact alone rendered the police nearly useless. They could document, speculate, collect fragments of information, but without Harry awake, there were no answers.Still, the officers were certain of one thing. This wasn’t random. This wasn’t a mugging gone wrong or a spur-of-the-moment act of violence. The way it was
Chapter 124. Blocked Childhood Memories
Harry lay unconscious, but that didn’t mean his mind had shut down. If anything, it was still moving, drifting, wandering, replaying places it had buried long ago. The real question was: where exactly was it now? This wasn’t like the nightmares he’d been having lately. Those came with warning signs. Those he could claw his way out of. He usually woke up gasping, heart racing, aware it wasn’t real. This time was different. This time, he couldn’t wake himself up.And unlike his usual nightmares, he wasn’t aware that he was dreaming. There was no sense of distance between him and what he was experiencing. No internal voice telling him it wasn’t real.To Harry, this was reality. He was a child again, no older than seven, sitting alone at a rickety table in a cramped, decaying apartment. The furniture looked like it had survived too many years of neglect. Wood chipped. Cushions sagging. The place smelled faintly of mildew and something sour.It wasn’t fit for a child.Yet there he was.A b
Chapter 123. Barely Alive II
Mia made the call to shut down the portion of the building that fell under her responsibility. It wasn’t an easy decision, but she didn’t see another option. The club couldn’t completely grind to a halt, too many people relied on it, but that specific section had to be closed. She needed space, time, and quiet to think. More than anything, she didn’t want word spreading yet. Not until she understood what had happened. Not until she was forced to explain it. She replayed the previous night over and over in her head, mentally retracing every face, every movement, every interaction. Has anyone suspicious come into the club? Had there been an argument she’d missed? Had Harry crossed paths with someone dangerous without realizing it? How did Marcus manage to get Harry alone in the first place? Or maybe it wasn’t Marcus at all. Maybe it was someone else, someone Harry knew well enough to trust. If it had been a stranger, Harry would’ve raised an alarm immediately. He wasn’t careles
