12. Second Class!

After the mission notification was settled by Neo, he focused around him and found that the principle and these four trashes were having talks about how to organize the class and it continued until a few minutes.

Neo just ignored these talks, since he will be the one who is going to be leading the mission, he doesn’t need to work according to their plans, he can make his own plan. So, he just focused more on how to make this training more hellish… cough, I mean more better for the students.

Afterall, how can the future of this world grow if the students are not good enough. This world is going to face disasters in the coming years and these students will be the future of this world. A single person can’t save a world alone, there’s bound to be several people supporting him from behind.

After a few minutes, the talks were finished and Mike ordered Neo directly:

“Mr. Neo, you will be in charge of leading this trail this time, make sure to protect the students of the academy at all costs.” (Mike)

“Yeah, I make sure that they are safe” (Neo)

“Okay then you all can now go, the trail will start a week later, until then you can prepare.” (Mike)

After Mike announced the end of the meeting all the teachers left the meeting room and Neo did so too. Once out the four professors heaved a sigh of relief as if a heavy weight has been lifted off their body. They looked meaningfully at Neo and left the place without saying anything else.

‘hmm, looks like things like face-slapping and pretending to be forced only happens with protagonists, not other characters.’ (Neo)

Neo was disappointed, he had thought that maybe he will get a chance to pretend to look cool and stuff, just like a protagonist but it seems these things are exclusive to the protagonists only.

Neo shook his head and walked directly towards the class. The first week has already passed and today is the second class of the students. But the class will start in about two hours from now on. And until then, Neo have nothing to do.

Suddenly, a thought came to Neo’s mind:

‘Since, I have time why not prepare something for the students’

Thinking further, a cold light flashed through his eyes, the aura around him became ever chilly and colder. Without him knowing, even his aura has started to become like a genuine villain. The only difference is that he is well aware of what he is doing, unlike the villains whose IQ gets reduced by the heavenly luck. Such things can’t work on him due to his talent.

The first-year knight classroom

All the students were already present in the class, no one was late today, even though there were so many students the class was extremely quiet, the atmosphere was gloomy and uncomfortable. All the students were trying their best to maintain their calm.

A few minutes passed by but no one came to the class. The tension in the atmosphere continued to rise. Just as some students were already on the verge of mental breakdown. The change finally happened.

The ceiling of the hall started to open slowly, just like the fist day. The desks and tables disappeared, same as the first day but this time the students were prepared and most of them maintained their balance, while some unlucky ones still fell down due to carelessness.

The students who fell were already sweating buckets. They knew that since today the number of the students who fell is less, they will be the one to run against the crowd today.

Just as everyone was focusing on the gate Neo came directly from the ceiling. Jumping down from that height would have been an impossible feat on Earth but here it was just a common thing.

The thing that caught the student’s attention was that there was an alive monster in Neo’s right hand. It was an alpha-wolf, a Lv-3 monster. Even though this wolf is life-threatening for students, it was still struggling to free its face from Neo’s hand.

Neo was holding the wolf with his hand closing the wolf’s mouth, not letting it make even a single noise. The wolf was waving its limbs in desperation, but it was all to no avail.

Ignoring the students bewildered expression Neo looked around and seeing that everyone was present he announced the main thing:

“Next, week there will be a field trail held by the academy and the students need to hunt monsters in that trail.”

“It doesn’t matter you do so in a team or individually, you will have submitted a report on your hunting experience.”

“And since you all are so weak, I decided that an early encounter with a monster can help you in the trail, so for today you will have to kill this wolf monster and we will talk other things later”

After Neo completed his speech, he didn’t wait for the students to reply he directly threw the wolf in the middle of the students. Although the wolf was exhausted by a great margin because of it trying to resist Neo. It was still capable of fighting for its life.

The students panicked and hurriedly distanced themselves from the wolf. They had never encountered a real monster in their life and no one of them have any real fight experience.

The wolf monster had some low amount of intelligence it didn’t attack the students directly but tried to intimidate them by howling and growling at the students in a ferocious way and obviously it succeeds. Some of the students were now shaking in fear seeing the fierce wolf.

Just as the students were going to start run like idiots to escape from the wolf an arrogant voice resounded in their ears:

“Remember what you learned in your class. Remember the teamwork you learned last time.” (Neo)

Then Neo looked towards Mira and said:

“It’s a leader’s work to ensure that the knights maintain their positions and are not shaking in fear.” (Neo)

Mira being an intelligent girl, she knew that Neo has already deemed her as the leader of the students of the class, she gritted her teeth and moved directly towards the wolf, even though the wolf kept growling at her she walked to the forefront of all the students.

It was a perfect chance for the protagonist to step in now. So, without delaying Mark followed Mira and walked towards the wolf too, this triggered a chain reaction, slowly all of them started to move behind Mark and Mira.

“You are not in a right formation, surround the wolf and attack the wolf from every side, without giving it space to counterattack.” (Neo)

With Neo’s reminder the students surrounded the wolf. Seeing the situation getting worse, the wolf sensed danger and finally decided to take action, it tried to jump out of the entanglement, but a heavy aura pressed it down, not letting it move out of the circle.

With no choice the wolf decided to pounce on the person standing nearest. It directly attacked Mira.

Mira had never fought a monster before. It is obvious to panic when a monster attacks you. Mira was not able to defend herself at time and got hit by the wolf’s paw, making her fall on the ground.

The monster still did not want to let her go, it attacked again but this time an aura blocked its way, Neo looked towards Mark this time:

“Attack the monster from behind when it is focusing on one person, never let it focus on one person. If it tries to do so, you have to attack it from other side.” (Neo)

Understanding Neo’s guidance Mark directly lead the group of students behind him to attack the monster.

Now the students finally found their right track. Once the monster tries to focus on one person its gets attacked by other side making it lose its target. When it tries to attack several of them it gets blocked by the students.

The fight continued just like this for about two hours the monster was visibly exhausted now, but the same was true for the students too. Most of the students have been scratched by the wolf but no one is injured fatally.

This is because Neo have been preventing the monster from injuring students too much. But small injuries are sometimes important for a better experience.

“Both of you focus you attack on its neck together and finish this in one strike. Remember that if don’t kill the monster you will end up exhausted, thus losing this fight and losing a fight in a fight means death.” (Neo)

Mira and Mark both knew that Neo was talking to them, afterall they were the only ones still fighting with full might with the monster, most of the students are already sluggish due to exhaustion.

Mark and Mira both looked at each other and came to a tacit understanding, they launched a combine attack on the monster thus amplifying the damage, sensing the danger the wolf tried to avoid death but it was already too exhausted to resist this attack.

With a clean slash of the sword the wolf’s neck was separated and its body collapsed down. All the students who were exhausted also directly fall down on floor panting and trying to catch their breath.

Neo floated towards the body of the monster, his body was floating around as if he was controlling air around him, even though he was simply using his aura to float around.

Neo looked at the sliced body and nodded his head:

“Good for now, improvements can be done.”

Hearing his remark all the students had a smile on their face now, including Mark and Mira. Just as they were enjoying this moment of happiness, Neo directly poured water on their faces:

"But there's still one thing left to do, now we have to dissect its corpse."
