Reclaiming my Rich-kid Status

"Please! Please! Give me a few seconds and don't hurt him, okay? I'm going to send the money right away," Kagern pleaded as he pushed his way into his best friend's apartment.

One could see panic on his face as he put the phone into his pockets.

Before he could do what had brought him here, though, the panic on his face turned into a frown when he saw a girl in a red revealing nightgown.

His mind could not register what his girlfriend could be doing at David's place... plus, what kind of outfit was that?

"Erie?! What are you doing here?"

Startled, Erica opened her mouth to reply, but another voice spoke from the side.

"Can't she visit her boyfriend?"

Kagern shifted his gaze to the source of the voice and saw David who was walking towards Erica with two glasses of red wine. He could not believe both his eyes and ears. Erica was his girlfriend. What was David trying to imply by that?

"Bro, she's my girlfriend. What are you talking about?"

After asking this, Kagern shifted his gaze to Erica who smiled at David as she reached for the wine glass and took a sip.

"Erie, what's this?"

David had just wrapped his arm around Erica's waist and the girl seemed pleased. Leaning against him, she replied, "What don't you see? David is now my boyfriend. You're my Ex. That's what this is. Any other questions?"

She didn't allow Kagern to reply because she craned her neck and landed a kiss on David's lips, something she has never done to Kagern in three years of their relationship.

Kagern couldn't stand it any more.

He rushed toward them, saying, "Guys, stop this nonsense, NOW!"

He was feeling like punching someone.

Erica was quick to notice his actions.

"Don't you dare take another step or I'll call the police on you for breaking into my boyfriend's apartment."

Kagern's thoughts went haywire at Erica's words.

Was she calling David her boyfriend?

The number one playboy at their campus?

Didn't she know how many girls David brought at his apartment every night?

That it's the reason why he lived in an apartment instead of his parents mansion?

"Erie, what did this pervert feed you? How can you kiss him in front of me? When did we break up? I know you two like pranks, but this is too much. Stop it already!"

Seemingly angered by Kagern's words, Erica rushed to him and raised her index finger to point at him. David was following behind her with a wide grin on his face, slowly sipping on his wine.

"First, I would advise you to watch your mouth. My Davey is not a pervert. It's just that he's too rich and so handsome that those b*tches are always pestering him."

Kagern felt like laughing, so he muttered under his breath.

"Your Davey?"

This irritated Erica even more.

"Shut up and listen to me you broke *ss! I'm tired of pitying you. I could have dumped you a long time ago if I wasn't a kind person. That's the second. I hope you use your senses at least for once and realize that this is not a prank, okay?"

Kagern had endured a lot but this was too much. How could she say that she pitied him?

She was the one who approached him 3 years ago and proposed love. That time, Kagern had just arrived in Surreal City, escaping from his father's enemies who wanted to kill him in Cereal City.

Plus, his billionaire father had recently been framed and imprisoned. Kagern was too depressed to go into a relationship. However, it was not in his nature to hurt others. That's why he decided to accept her, then his love for her slowly grew until he loved her like crazy.

Who pitied the other then?

"Erica Brooks," said Kagern, dropping Erie, her preferred nickname. "I don't know what had gotten into you. All I know is that David is a playboy. You'll soon regret this!"

Hearing his name mentioned, David rushed to stand in front of Erica.

"Hey hey! Don't you dare badmouth me again. Just know that you're a loser, say what had brought you here and f*ck off!"

Kagern stepped forward, also, the fury in his eyes obvious.

"Don't call me a loser and think that I can't punch you."

"Punch me? A broke *ss like you? Ha! Ha! Try!”
