That same night, in a lavish hall at the Feris family residence, the mood was heavy and suffocating.

A lot of people had gathered there. Some were from Serli's family, the rest from the Feris family itself. In the head seat, Old Master Ferdi sat with a dark face, his fingers drumming nonstop on the armrest.

The hall doors opened. A neatly dressed man walked in, looking defeated.

"Well? Did you find out who that damn kid is?" Old Master Ferdi asked.

The man lowered his head.

"His identity can't be traced at all, Old Master. I only found one thing. He just arrived in this city this evening, on a private plane from Erose."

Old Master Ferdi narrowed his eyes.

"Erose..." he muttered. "That's one of the strong nations. Could he be from one of the powers over there?"

Nobody could answer.

"Father, so what do we do?" A grown woman spoke up, her eyes full of tears. She was Fero's mother. "We can't just sit here and do nothing after that bastard wrecked Fero's face like that, can we?"

"She's right, Father!" the man next to her added, his jaw tight. He was Fero's father. "We can't just swallow this humiliation!"

"Of course we'll take revenge!" Old Master Ferdi slammed his hand down on the armrest. "It's just... it has to be planned out carefully. We can't let it blow up in our faces."

"If you ask me, though, you'd be better off swallowing that humiliation."

The voice was flat and cold.

Everyone turned. The one who'd spoken was a grown man with a cold face, who had been leaning against a pillar with his arms folded this whole time. He was Mr. Eden, the strongest fighter the Feris family had.

"Mr. Eden, what do you mean by that?" Old Master Ferdi frowned.

Fero's parents and plenty of others in the hall were also looking at him like they couldn't accept it.

"I'll be blunt." Mr. Eden's expression didn't change. "I feel like that kid is extremely dangerous. In all the time I've lived in this city, nobody has ever given me a feeling like that."

The hall went quiet for a moment.

"Sir, that has to be just your imagination," Fero's father finally said.

"Right. No matter how good he is, how could he possibly be better than you? He's still so young!" someone else chimed in.

"I lost that clash earlier because I underestimated him too much," Old Master Ferdi said heavily. "If I'd been serious from the start, it wouldn't have turned out like that."

Mr. Eden fell silent. He made no further comment.

Maybe his feeling really was wrong.

The next morning, the sun was shining bright over Moon City.

Evan walked out of Star Villa already looking sharp. His hair was styled, his shirt fit him just right, and his face was as handsome as ever. By his own judgment, even more handsome than yesterday.

His stomach was growling. He needed breakfast.

Out of the four cars in the garage, he picked the Pagani. The moment the engine started, a fierce roar tore through the calm of the elite district.

On the road, the car was the center of attention. Other drivers slowed down, pedestrians turned their heads, and a few young guys scrambled to pull out their phones and record it.

Evan drove with one hand, whistling. A good morning.

===

The most popular luxury restaurant in Moon City was already busy, even this early.

The valet immediately guided the Pagani to a reserved spot right in front of the main entrance. Guests who had just arrived stopped walking, stared at the car, then stared with open curiosity at the handsome young man who stepped out of it.

Evan had just walked into the restaurant when a soft voice called out to him from behind.

"Young Master?"

Evan glanced back, and his eyebrows went right up.

It was that cold-faced beauty. The one who hadn't shed a single tear yesterday, even with a gun at her temple.

Standing next to her was a beautiful woman in formal clothes, a pencil skirt and a blazer that wrapped around her curves perfectly. Evan recognized her too. She was the one who'd been crying yesterday.

What a coincidence.

"Well, look at that, two lovely ladies!" Evan's face lit up at once. "We meet again. Turns out this city's pretty small, huh?"

The cold-faced woman gave a small nod. Her expression stayed calm, but her voice was polite.

"Young Master, the two of us didn't get the chance to thank you yesterday."

"No need to thank me." Evan waved it off. "I was in a hurry yesterday. If I hadn't helped, the road would've stayed jammed and I'd have been held up."

The woman in formal clothes let out a little laugh at that.

"Even so, it's only right that we thank you," the cold-faced woman said. "If it weren't for you, Young Master, who knows what would have happened to us."

"In that case, how about you tell me the names of these two lovely ladies instead?" Evan grinned and pointed at himself with his thumb. "I'm Evan. Single, handsome, and no criminal record. That last one's still up for debate, though."

"The corner of the cold-faced woman's mouth moved slightly, almost like a smile. No criminal record? What a liar. Two lives ended in your hands just yesterday," Vanessa said to herself.

She introduced herself.

"Vanessa."

"And I'm Bianca, Miss Vanessa's secretary." The woman in formal clothes held out her hand first, her eyes sparkling. "It's nice to finally meet you properly, Young Master Evan."

Evan shook her hand, and Bianca was in no hurry to let go.

She was nothing like her boss. If Vanessa was an iceberg, beautiful to look at from a distance, then Bianca was a little flame that came closer on purpose.

"Miss Vanessa, Miss Bianca." Evan repeated both names, sounding pleased. "Pretty names. They suit you."

Bianca laughed again, then tilted her head flirtatiously.

"You must be here for breakfast, right, Young Master Evan? Why don't you just have breakfast with us? Think of it as a small thank-you from the two of us."

She glanced at Vanessa, as if asking for approval.

Vanessa nodded without hesitation.

"I agree. If you don't mind, Young Master."

Mind?

Evan almost laughed. Two beautiful women were inviting him to breakfast, one cold and captivating, the other flirty and tempting. What kind of idiot would say no?

"How could I possibly mind?" He gave a slight, exaggerated bow, like some kind of nobleman. "Being invited to breakfast by two lovely ladies is a great honor."

Bianca covered her mouth, holding back a laugh. Vanessa turned her face away a little, but her ears had clearly gone red.

Vanessa then called over a waiter who had been standing by respectfully the whole time.

"Please open a VIP room for us."

"Of course, Miss Vanessa. Right this way, please."

The waiter led the way. Evan walked between the two women with his hands in his pockets and a smile he couldn't hide.

Only his second day in Chine, and he was already having breakfast with two beautiful women.

Life really was good.

Evan stopped. His hand went still on Madam Sandra’s shoulder.“Madam,” he whispered hoarsely. “I wanna see these big beauties of yours for real.”“I already told you, only over the clothes!” Madam Sandra clutched her dress even tighter.“Come on, Madam...”Evan didn’t pull at her. Instead his hand went back over the fabric and squeezed her breast harder than before, slow but deep, as if reminding her body of what it had just been feeling.Madam Sandra bit her lip. Her breath hitched, and her body, starved for so long, grew even hotter. Her defenses crumbled bit by bit, not because of Evan, but because of herself.“Fine, do whatever you want...” she finally murmured, turning her face away. Her hands slowly let go of the dress.Evan drew the fabric down along with the black bra strap. As the sight beneath was laid bare under the dim glow of the bedside lamp, full, smooth, and pale, with reddish-brown peaks, Evan swallowed hard.“So beautiful...” he murmured in awe. “This big and not sag

Madam Sandra froze.Evan’s whisper had hit her like a bolt out of the blue. Her face burned, from her cheeks all the way to her ears.“H-help?” Her voice trembled. “Young Master, do you... do you even realize what you just said?”“Totally.” Evan smiled without a hint of shame. “You’re the one who asked, right? So I gave you an honest answer.”“I’m Vanessa’s mother!”“Yeah, I know.”“I’m way older than you!”“I know that too.” Evan leaned back and looked her over from head to toe. “So what? You’re the one who got me like this. Sitting next to me in a dress like that, smelling this good. I’m a normal guy, Madam. Not a statue.”Madam Sandra glanced toward the hallway. The lights in Vanessa’s and Bianca’s rooms were still on, and from Disa’s room came the faint sound of laptop keys clicking.“Keep your voice down!” she hissed. “If they hear...”“That’s why I’ve been whispering this whole time.”Madam Sandra was at a loss for words. She bit her lip and turned her face away.“He’s crazy...

  • Chapter 19 Flirting with Her Mother

This widowed mother of Vanessa’s still had a truly stunning allure. Her face was beautiful, her skin clear and firm, showing no sign of her age at all. The tight dress she wore clung to her body, revealing every curve. Her chest was enormous, even bigger than Bianca’s. Her hips were full, her backside round and plump. And on top of all that, she carried a calm, mature aura. An aura no young woman could ever imitate.“Madam,” Evan said casually, “you’re still really beautiful, and you look young, too. Why haven’t you married again?”Madam Sandra’s hand stopped over a glass. She froze for a moment. Then she let out a soft sigh, set the glass down, and smiled as she looked at Evan.“Finding a man you can rely on is very hard, Young Master.” Her voice was gentle. “You must know what the circles of elite families are like. Most of it is just about gain. What they look at is the family name, the wealth, the connections. Not the person.”Evan nodded. He understood perfectly. No matter the co

Vanessa was the first to nod.“Alright, Grandpa. I’ll go along with your decision.”Bianca and Disa looked at each other, then agreed as well.“I’ll go too,” Madam Sandra said calmly. “If I’m there, I can keep an eye on the three of them.”Evan looked at Madam Sandra. The mature woman sat gracefully in a dress that hugged her ripe curves.“A beautiful older woman with a hot body at the villa. Not bad at all. Hehe,” Evan said to himself.“How nice it would be if I could stay at Young Master’s villa too.”That gentle voice came from where the Citra family was seated. Nadia was resting her chin on her hand, a small smile on her lips. Maybe she was envious, maybe there was some other reason.“If you want to, Miss Nadia, you’re welcome to!” Evan answered in a hurry.Vanessa and Bianca glared at him on reflex.“That bastard!” Bianca cursed in her heart.Nadia giggled. Her eyes flicked briefly to Vanessa’s cold face, then to Bianca’s annoyed one.“I’m only joking, Young Master. But if I ever

"Oh." Evan blew out his cigarette smoke, his tone dismissive. "And here I thought it was some big family..."Everyone was taken aback. The Yudi family of Cloud City, stronger than two first-class families combined, and this young man talked about them like he was discussing a food stall at the end of the street?"Young Master, what do you mean?" Old Master Jaya asked."Come on, relax." Evan waved a hand. "This family's going to be just fine."It didn't sound serious at all. But Old Master Jaya's face lit up at once, like a man who had just had a weight lifted off him."That's good... thank you, Young Master. Thank you.""Grandpa." Vanessa's voice trembled. Tears ran down her cheeks. "Can't you just not go and fight?""Yes, that's right, Father!" Madam Sandra added. "We still want you alive!"Old Master Jaya smiled peacefully."I still want to live too. I haven't seen my grandchildren get married yet. But... this can't be avoided."Vanessa couldn't hold back her tears any longer. Besid

  • Chapter 16 Life-and-Death Pact

Evan looked over the women in the hall one by one.The one who caught his attention most was a young woman sitting beside Old Master Pandu. Her beauty was on par with Vanessa’s. The difference was that she wasn’t cold at all. Her gaze was gentle, and there was a faint, friendly smile on her lips.“That’s my granddaughter, Nadia,” said Old Master Pandu, who had caught where Evan was looking.Nadia nodded politely. Evan answered with his best smile. Then his eyes moved to a mature woman sitting near Vanessa. Her face looked a little like Vanessa’s, only more refined, with a charm that only a woman her age could have.“And this is my daughter, Sandra. Vanessa’s mother,” Old Master Jaya introduced her. His voice dropped a little. “Vanessa’s father passed away in an accident a long time ago.”Madam Sandra smiled and bowed her head to Evan.“Thank you for saving my daughter, Young Master.”“You’re welcome, Madam.”Evan had just learned one thing. That cold woman had been without a father fo
