I'm dragged into this weird situation. They start arguing over who will fight me without asking for my approval, but all the royal magnates recoil in fear.

"Let The Majesty Crown Prince fight him!" Bartos suddenly exclaims.

Leogus laughed softly. "No. I was there when he defeated the dragon. I believe he is a Hero."

He lies. He's the one who knows I'm not a hero. He can reveal it here if he wants. Why does he hide it? He must be hiding something. Suspicious.

"Then, we have no choice. Let him fight Gargan!"

Everyone is stunned to hear that name. Leogus' grin widens, giving chills to my skin.

"It's too much to involve Gargan. That thing can kill our hero!" The King rejects that weird idea. The veins in his neck look like a flowing river on the map.

"If he dies, then he's not a hero! A hero should be able to kill Gargan!"

"Who is Gargan?" I interrupt.

Everyone's faces are getting more and more uncomfortable. However, one of them steps forward on trembling legs.

"Gargan is a creature that sealed by our ancestors. That creature has existed for thousands of years and has never died. We can only restore its power due to the seal."

"Then, why didn't the latest hero kill Gargan? I heard he was here, right?"

"He won't," Leogus answers. "No one knows why my master didn't want to kill Gargan. He just didn't want to do it."

Or he couldn't. If the real hero couldn't beat Gargan, neither can I.

They took me downstairs to a large meadow in the middle of giant trees. I feel so small, like an insect. All the people gathered around me, some looking from the tree.

They stare at  me like a prisoner waiting for execution. Due to Bartos' instigation, they are now divided into two. Some cheered me on, some mocked me and even spat at me.

"He's the hero!"

"No! He must be a curse!"

The commotion get out of control. They mock each other; some even fight because of me. I don't understand how important heroes are to them to do this. I must find out where they heard about the hero and the curse. Maybe that person also knows about Amenus.

"To prove his worth, Gin The Hero will fight Gargan!" Bartos shouts very loudly.

I won't be here if it isn't for Amenus. Attracting attention is not my forte. The old me would probably faint from seeing thousands of eyes like this.

A thud sound suddenly echoes, tightening the mouths of every spectator. The ground shakes, and leaves fall to the ground. Behind a tree, a giant appeared. Its body is orange with two goat horns on its head. Gargan's skin releases profuse slime-shaped sweat. When the sweat falls, the grass will dry and smoke.

Everyone's face is pale. Me too!

I lost my mind when I fought the dragon. It was like the system did it, maybe an autopilot mode. Now, I'm wide awake. I don't know how I can fight this monster.

I don't have any sword or weapon, while Gargan comes with an iron hammer, bigger than me.

"Let the fight begin!" Bartos gives the signal.

I really hate their creature. They always decide on their own and never answer my questions.

Now, how am I supposed to defeat this giant?

[Cursed Creatures]

[Gargan]

[Release Gargan's curse to defeat it]

So this giant is cursed. How do I release its curse?

No response from the system. Damn it!

Gargan starts running towards me. The ground shakes, and the grass instantly dies. The pungent smell of sulfur wafts from the mucus that fall from its skin. It's a bad idea to touch it.

Gargan points its hammer at me and hits me with its powerful strength. I hold it before the hammer hit me. I can hear the grunts of people who are disappointed that I don't die.

I push the hammer away and make Gargan back off with it. Gargan attacks me again senselessly. Punching and hitting, Gargan starts hitting in all directions. I am busy dodging until finally, I get bored. This won't be finished by avoiding it.

I clench my fist. If I'm strong enough to endure it, I'm also strong enough to do more. When Gargan hit its hammer to me, I counter it with a fist.

Krrrak!

The giant hammer shatters. Everyone freeze, including me.

I only intended to push the hammer away with my fist to retreat further than before. I didn't know that an iron hammer could break.

I stare at my fist. "This is scary," I say quietly.

I have this question for my entire life. The system said my power had been unlimited since I was born. But why I couldn't smack Amenus back then? Why am I still weaker than him?

Is the system lying? Or is Amenus too powerful?

I have magic resistance skills, which I'm sure works when I catch fireballs from dragons. Likewise, the absolute strength skill allows me to easily remove the dragon's head. However, I still need to learn about the magic of the abyss and how it works.

I start to wonder if I am strong enough to defeat Amenus. It will be ridiculous if I die first before taking revenge. Although I'm not sure if Disaster can die. My existence itself isn't normal like other creatures.

A disaster in the form of a human. I think I'm the only one.

"Aaaaa!" Gargan's shout brings my sense back to the battle arena.

Gargan shouts angrily while jumping up and down. "I don't want to be tortured anymore! I have to kill you!"

Gargan's frustrated scream makes my heart ache a little. Those elves must have tortured Gargan cruelly.

Gargan shouts as it runs to attack me with its bare hands. I manage to dodge, but my clothes get hit by its slime and have holes like a burn mark.

Focus. To beat Gargan, I have to focus on releasing its curse. I have magic now, it must have something to do with magic.

Gargan runs to me. Its screams turn into heartbreaking cries. The elves roared with laughter at Gargan. But I can't. There's nothing funny about a tormented creature.

I don't dodge anymore this time. I let Gargan run to me. When Gargan is very close, I close my eyes and point my palm at it. I hope it's working.

"Release the curse!" No other spells came to mind, that's all I can say.

Gargan's fist touches my palm. No burning, no killing blows.

I open my eyes and see Gargan's body glowing. Gargan's body is cracked, and each of its cracks shows light within it. That body finally shatters, and a much brighter light blinds all eyes.

I could hear the rushing footsteps of the panicked elves. I stand still, waiting for what will happen. From that light, a figure emerges. It starts with a woman's silhouette, then when the light dims, it becomes real.

A gorgeous woman stands in front of me. She has tan skin with silver eyes. Her long silver hair dancing with the wind. Never in my life seen such a beautiful woman.

She wears a white robe with a silver leaf crown.

"Who are you?" I ask her carefully. I don't want to scare her.

The woman kneels down, paying respect to me.

"My name is Gargan, My Lord. Holy Sword Gargan."

"I am Baalgos, the Ruler of the Abyss. You used my magic, but how dare you not recognize me?"Everyone ran in panic, while those still trapped there died instantly as Sammy, or whatever it was, climbed onto the spectator's bench. Gin was not the only one tormented by the presence of that creature. They didn't even have time to ask for help when their necks were choked by this deadly aura.Gin clenched his fists. Not only he couldn't breathe, but all the organs inside his body felt like they were being crushed. That creature casually sat on Gin's collapsed back on the floor. Its smile widened, stretching from one cheek to the other."I know killing you won't solve the problem. Ordering that stupid human to do it is also not very useful. But I have another way to stop you."Gin wanted to speak, but once again, only blood could be coughed up. He gripped Gargan with the remaining strength he had, even though he couldn't lift his sword."An item like this is useless to me." Baalgos stepped

  • The Real Enemy

If it weren't for Amenus there, they would have surely run and panicked. But they believed that Amenus could protect them from the disaster. All eyes were on Gin. The way they looked at him now was different. He was no longer Gin, the slave they used to watch. He was Gin the disaster that they had to defeat before he killed them.To be honest, Gin had no intention of killing them all. Taking them out one by one was too exhausting for him. It would be more efficient to retrieve his core and destroy the whole world at once. Wasn't that more efficient? But the fear of the dwarves had consumed them. If Panka alone was enough to frighten them, what lay before them was far more dangerous than Panka.A rotten tomato flew and hit Gin's back. It was Matt who did it. He stood there, staring at Gin with hatred."You killed everyone," he said very softly. Gin didn't hear him; his eyes had already conveyed everything. The other slaves also grabbed the rotten food they had stored in their pockets a

  • Accused But It Was Almost Real

"Now, what we've all been waiting for! The elf!"The crowd's cheers welcomed Gin's arrival. He wondered why he was referred to as an elf. He stood in the middle of the arena, which was completely enclosed. If it weren't for the voices of the audience, he would have thought he was alone there.Gin looked up at the ceiling. The barrier covered everything. It was shaped like a curved white roof that covered the arena. There was not even a small gap for him to see outside. He didn't know where Amenus was, and he couldn't sense anyone's aura here. Such a strong barrier couldn't have been created by just anyone."And his opponent for tonight will be... The boy!" The cheers died down as Sammy emerged. The audience began murmuring among themselves, creating a loud rumble.Sammy walked timidly. When he reached the edge of the arena, he hesitated and went back inside."I don't want to die! Please help me! I don't want to!" His pleas touched the hearts of many, or at least they pretended to be t

  • Against a Little Boy

Gin's desire to kill surged uncontrollably. The aura of Amenus could be felt from his room. He reached for the shirt that he was wearing, clutching it tightly to restrain himself."It's not time yet. I have to hold back. If he appears now, Amenus might escape again. That cowardly demon is too weak to face me."Gin took a deep breath. He couldn't mess everything up. If his instincts were correct, Amenus hadn't arrived in this kingdom yet, but he was very close.Gin had to wait. He was certain that the moment would come. It was the last opportunity that he couldn't afford to waste.Gin opened his eyes to observe his surroundings. He managed to control himself, and those in the room were unaware of his killing aura.{Master, calm yourself. There's no need to rush; you will surely meet him later.}Unlike usual, Gargan was calming Gin and advising him to be patient. But Gargan was right; even if Gin didn't do anything now, he would still encounter Amenus. It was better for him to wait with
