“Pardon my manners; I am Ariana Long.” She extended her hand; Benjamin hesitated for a moment before bringing forth his hand. Her arms felt warm, but Benjamin wasn’t in a good mood so he withdrew his hand.

Why would someone from the long family be looking for Benjamin?

Benjamin thought for a moment, before he muttered. “You haven’t answered my question.”

Ariana exhaled slightly. “I need your help, Mr. Scott. You are the last and only students of Master Leo. My grandfather is ill. I heard a lot about you; you are my only hope.” She uttered politely; Benjamin could feel the desperation in her voice.

Benjamin stared around; he noticed the way onlookers were staring at them.

He wanted to reject, but he felt the energy of the necklace beneath. He hesitated for a moment, he remembered the last words of his late master to always help people when they ask for his help, even on his bad day.

“Take me to him.” He said with his voice barely above a whisper.

Ariana stepped aside, as they parted the door open for Benjamin. He entered the car, the same as Ariana and her guard.

A few minutes later, the car came to a halt at one of the most exclusive estates in the city; the estate was the house of most top billionaires, movie producers and top artists. From the structure he could tell each building would be worth 600 million or more.

Benjamin stepped out of the car and glanced at the estate; he was guarded into the building. “This way,” Ariana muttered.

The structures were mind-blowing; the building was like a royal palace, with the chandelier and the neatly arranged furniture.

He followed Ariana into the room where her grandfather was lying, he was still breathing but not responding to his name.

By the side was her sister, Lucy Long and Dr Andrew Morris, the director of the city general hospital. He is the best cardiologist and cardiac surgeon in the city.

Ariana turned to Benjamin, “Here is my grandfather; he has been like this for a week. Dr Andrew has tried everything, but he is not responding.”

Lucy stepped forward, “Who is this, and why did you bring him here? Remember, only family members are allowed inside.”

“He is Mr. Scott; he is a great healer and is here to help us.” Ariana countered.

“What healer,” Lucy scoffed. “Look behind we have the best doctor in the world; he had assured us that he would handle Grandpa’s illness; why pick up some poor healer from the street.” Her voice was laced with disgust.

Benjamin was used to it; he hadn’t had his bath or changed into something nice; he was leaving Nora’s apartment when he saw the lady. This is what he gets for being him.

“Are you a doctor, a surgeon, or did you have medical training?” Dr. Andrew asked.

Benjamin raised his brow, “I have a proper knowledge of the human body,”

Dr Andrew shook his head in disbelief. Benjamin’s confident was evident in his gaze. “Are you saying you have no degrees in medicine, not from any medical school, but you claim to understand the human body,” he smirked. “I know your type; you go around deceiving people and making us the real doctors to get bad comments. Tell me, which book did you read or which site on the internet did you browse to gain your understanding?”

Benjamin narrowed his gaze at the man lying on the bed; he could sense danger; he ignored the comments from the doctor, then turned to Ariana, “Your grandfather doesn’t have enough time; whatever needs to be done must be carried out immediately.”

“What nonsense.” Lucy barked, “How could you spill such rubbish with your mouth about my grandfather? Get out of here before I call the guards to throw you out.” She warned.

“I can handle it,” Dr. Andrew said, administering a few injections. He took a record of the old man’s heartbeat and blood pressure.

Ariana wasn’t happy with the way her sister was treating Benjamin. “I am sorry, Mr. Scott.”

Benjamin smiled blankly. “It’s fine; there is nothing to be sorry about.” He walked out of the room.

Just when Benjamin left, Ariana’s grandfather started convulsing. The doctor’s face turned pale.

“What’s happening to him, Dr. Andrew.”

Dr. Andrew examined him; his face turned from pale to confused. He stared at the injections he had administered earlier.

He lowered his gaze, “your grandfather’s condition was already critical. At the moment there is nothing I can do.”

“But you said my father had two weeks to live, because of the stroke,” Lucy asked; her mind was thumping fast; she might be strong-headed, but she wouldn’t want to lose her grandfather.

“I can’t do any miracle. We should take him to the hospital for an autopsy.”

Ariana stepped forward, her eyes becoming watery, “Mr. Scott was right, but you allowed him to leave because of Dr Andrew who couldn’t help us,”

She ran out of the room to search for Benjamin, when she got outside, she scanned around for him but he was nowhere to be found, she fell to her knees and her eyes burst into tears.

The guards were left in a perplexed mood. They muttered among themselves. Ariana was heartbroken; she was about to lose her grandfather.

“Ms. Ariana, are you alright?” A familiar voice asked in concern.
