Ghost from the past
*Jake POV*

It’s been a week since we saw Leticia begging on the streets and Tanya just won’t let it go. She somehow relates to her because they are both pregnant and she’s always had a soft spot for the poor. I now hear about Leticia when I wake up and before I go to sleep.

I wake up to find her looking at me and I already know what she has to say.

“Jake.”

“No.”

I don’t even have to ask, her puffy puppy eyes say it all.

“You have not even heard what I was going to say,” she cries.

“I love you to bits, but you will not bring that witch here.”

“Babe..”

“No, Tanya.”

“She can work in the garden and stay in the maid’s quarters. You will never have to see her. Babe, please. Think of the poor baby.”

She’s obviously been thinking a lot about this. I am very sympathetic to the homeless because I have been there, but I don’t feel like that with Leticia. Unlike others out there with no one to turn to, she had a loving family and a future, but gave all away for the love of money.
