“Sir, I would not want to make you indebted because of me” Debby said. In fact, she heard that he had paid for the hotel fees in full which only meant one thing, he was probably poor right now. What if he was not even the owner of the hotel and had paid for someone in his stead?

“I never said so. In fact, I am happy to do this” Alec said and smiled. After all, he wanted to be done with his task and start the next task even if it meant paying more than what her bill stated.

Suddenly, he looked ahead only to see Sophie and her friend.

That crazy woman. What the hell was she doing here again after everything she had caused him? Alec thought. He could fill anger rush towards him as he watched her sit on his car. She had probably found out how wealthy he was.

Now, he was more than convinced that women would flock wealthy men's side all because of money!

“That's your car. I think your girlfriend is waiting for you and so, I will just go back and. ..”

“Debby, there's nothing to be scared of if you think that she is my girlfriend. She isn't. Just calm down” He said and held her hands as they walked towards the car. Even if he didn't have anything in common with Debby Green, he needed her help to make this work.

“What are you doing here?” Alec asked, the moment he got to her side.

“Who is she?” Sophie asked and frowned.

“Get away from my car, you crazy being” Alec said in anger. The way he screamed out made Sophie stand up abruptly. She had never seen that side of him in her life. He looked like a complete beast!

“Are you mad? Have you got no shame? You still managed to find your way into this place?”

“Alec, you were waiting for me to break up with you before you announce that you were rich, right?”

“Me? Never? You only made things easier by getting the hell out of my life while I knew that you did not deserve me begging you. I'm so glad for that” Alec replied and had the door opened fot Debby who felt so scared.

“You are crazy, Alec. I loved you and suffered with you for many years and now, this is the only way you repay me?” Sophie asked as she watched Alec entered the car.

Getting very furious, Alec checked open the side of his car and brought out few bundles of dollars. Instantly, he threw it at her.

“Stay away from me, you crazy gold digger” Alec said in anger and drove out of the premises.

“Did he just drive another woman in my presence and threw this money at me as if I am some sort of a beggar?” Sophie said in anger and stomped her foot.

Meanwhile, the system portal suddenly opened.

Alec got so furious that he hit on his steering wheel in shock, forgetting the fact that someone else was with him.

“Are you okay, sir?” Debby asked.

“I'm so sorry, Debby. I only had issues with some money” He said in frustration.

Damn that woman! She's the reason he lost a point already and she would not get away with that!

“May I ask you something, sir?”

“Of course, go on” He said, trying to subdue his anger.

“There are certain rumors in the hotel that you are probably not the owner of the hotel and someone bought it while you manage it for that person including this car we sit in” Debby began. Alec smiled.

He was not the owner, was he? If Flexi system had not been kind enough to help him with money, would he have gotten to this stage? He would have probably lost his life in the process!

But he was not going to explain that to her so that it would not seem like he was the crazy one. He thought of what to tell her.

Maybe Debby was like Sophie. He needed to stop making people know that he was wealthy enough asides from certain circumstances.

“You are right. I am not the owner but I am doing a perfect job at managing the hotel” Alec said and glanced at her. She did not have a different instead as she nodded her head and smiled.

“Wow! Then, I can help you with tips that would make the hotel continue to boom so that your boss would be so happy to see that you have done a perfect job”

Oh wow! I was not expecting that! Alec thought within him and smiled.

If it was Sophie, she would have flared up at that moment.

“Really? Let's talk about that as soon as we get you treated” He said and smiled.

It didn't take up to few minutes before he got to the hospital. Alec made sure she got treated and even had triple of the amount paid not in her presence.

However, his landlord would not stop making calls. He thought that Alec was probably going to come late from work as usual. He did not know that he had long been fired from work.

“I will definitely pay you as soon as I am back” Alec said immediately.

“Don't you understand? I need to approve someone else stay in that room. Have I not tried enough for you?”

In the end, Alec had to hang on the call. He would definitely settle him later.

“Sir, I am done” Debby said and smiled warmly as she lowered her head. She was covered in bandages.

“That's good. Get into the car, let me drive you to your house”

“No, sir. I will like to repay you for what you have done for me”

“No, it's fine” Alec said. Moreover, he had to settle that old man..

“Sir, just a thank you would not be enough”

“Really?”

“Yes sir. Would you like me to treat you to a meal tomorrow”

She asked politely.
