Chapter 3

Mason immediately called someone. After not waiting long, the call was immediately connected. "Is there anything I can do, Master?

"Stop Selena's promotion."

Of course, this confused Rudolf, who received the call. "Master, why are you saying that? Didn't you say to prepare everything well?"

Rudolf frowned, then thought that maybe his master didn't like what he had prepared before this.

"Do you want to give me something better?" Rudolf tried to guess because he knew his master greatly loved his wife. 

"No, I will divorce." Mason's answer shocked his servant. I will also withdraw all shares and cooperate with the Wilmer family."

Mason had feelings for Selena and hoped their marriage would work out, but it turned out that she was nothing more than a demon.

The look in Mason's eyes turned cold when he remembered Selena. "Lower the position to the lowest."

Without refusal, Rudolf nodded in understanding. "Yes, Master. I will do so."

The phone connection ended. Soon, Selena would be coming home from work. Mason prepared to greet his wife.

"Grandma, look who just slacked off." An annoying little voice. It was Axelo. He looked at Mason sarcastically.

"Hurry up and prepare dinner. My daughter will be home soon." Eva commanded tersely.

"I don't want to do it." Mason looked at his mother-in-law coldly.

"Do it yourself." Mason walked away.

This took Eva by surprise. "What?" Eva's eyes widened. "Why him? Is he crazy? How dare he act like that." Eva chuckled as she girded her loins.

"Grandmother, he's being disrespectful and defying Grandmother." Axelo heated up his grandmother's bad mood.

"Insolent. I can't allow it." He went after Mason. "Hey, you're shameless."

They stepped quickly, blocking Mason's steps, making the man finally stop. This time, he was completely fed up with everything they were doing.

"Heh, I already fed you here." Eva pointed her index finger in Mason's face. "How dare you talk to me like that."

Mason looked at the woman before him coldly. "Yeah."

Eva was silent as they locked eyes. She had never seen Mason stare at her like that, and she felt that Mason's gaze this time was very frightening.

Her body was transfixed to let Mason pass by unnoticed. "What's wrong with him? Why did he suddenly become bold like this?" She gulped her saliva.

"Ah, damn it!" The door to the house suddenly opened very loudly. Selena's voice was heard, looking annoyed. "It's completely unpredictable. How did it come to this?"

Selena, who was upset, immediately threw her bag on the sofa, which made Eva worried. Eva immediately approached her daughter.

"What's wrong, Selena?" Eva stroked her daughter's arm and brought her to sit on the sofa.

"Mom, I'm not getting promoted." Selena rubbed her face roughly. "They said that I should work as an office girl."

"What?" Eva rounded her eyes. "That's not possible." She was confused by what was happening. "Hey, weren't you about to be promoted to manager because of your skills? Why all of a sudden?

"I don't know!" Selena shouted in frustration, grabbing her own hair. "It's possible that I'll be fired soon."

Selena bit the tips of her fingernails, looking both panicked and upset. She didn't know why they were suddenly acting this way when they had previously praised her excellent performance.

"Did you do something wrong?" Eva frowned. It was probably something the company was considering.

"Not at all." Selena shook her head. "They just suddenly cancelled my promotion and demoted me."

Selena squeezed her hands in annoyance, and then her gaze shifted to Mason, who stood not far from them and looked at her coldly.

"Why are you looking at me like that, huh?" Selena got up, picked up the bag and threw it at Mason. "It's all bad luck because of you!"

Mason was used to getting such harsh treatment from his wife. Selena had always treated him like this, never respecting him and considering him a husband.

Mason smiled a little. His calm facial expression surprised the people there.

"Why are you acting like that, huh? Are you crazy?" Selena was getting more and more annoyed with him. She pointed at Mason while clucking in annoyance. "You're the one who has brought bad luck into my life. You should be gone, damn it."

Mason was still calm, approaching them with a document in his hand. "I want a divorce." He handed the document to Selena. "These are the divorce papers."

Of course, that left them all in shock at what Mason had said. Suddenly, the man even filed a request for divorce, which made Selena's anger grow.

"You think I don't want a divorce from you?" Selena grabbed the document from Mason's hand roughly. "It's not you divorcing me. It's me." She signed the divorce papers and threw them in Mason's face. "Now, get the hell out of here! You son of a bitch."

He entered his room and soon emerged with a suitcase, as he had prepared everything, leaving Eva and Selena confused. 

Eva headed towards Mason's bag. "Wait a minute! He might have stolen it here. Get the bag."

Some of the servants there immediately rushed to take Mason's bag, but the intention quickly brushed it off, especially Selena's hand, which suddenly made Selena. 

"You will suffer." Mason's words made Selena even more shocked.

"What? That won't be possible because you're the one who will suffer. You have no home and will be living on the streets." Selena folded her arms over her chest in a proud and boastful manner. 

"Open that bag of yours. Let us check it first. You must have stolen here." Axelo spread both hands to block Mason's path.

He was even about to kick Mason's leg, but Mason quickly swatted away his foot, causing Axelo to fall and instantly panic the people there. 

"God, what are you doing to my grandson, damn it!" Eva immediately went over to Axelo and woke the little boy up. "Are you okay, dear?

"Grandma, my leg hurts so much," Axelo whined and acted spoiled in front of his grandmother. "That damn man has caused me this much pain, and I'm hurt."

"Damn it." Eva looked at Mason, but he was already walking away. "Hey, come back here, damn it. You have to take responsibility!"

Selena stared at Mason's retreating back in annoyance and slammed her bag down again. "Damn it. Just watch, you'll suffer."

Mason had already stepped out of the Wilmer family home. Just as he was in front of the gate, a luxurious black car pulled up.

Rudolf got out of the car, bowing respectfully. "Welcome back, Master."
