Quinin waited patiently, far away from the drama. The crowd was already clearing out and he opted to get the gift later in the day.

A brand new Porsche stopped right besides Quinin, and the rest members of the crowd almost gawked their throats out.

A man who was well-known to everyone in the city stepped off the card. Mr. Nam, one of the first five power-ranking men in the city, known to have built his own empire.

"Sir. Quinin. I'm very sorry I came late. It will not happen again." He apologized gravely, bowing multiple times, even though it was just a few seconds.

"It's fine. Just get me to the hospital as soon as possible."

"Okay, sir."

Nam quickly opened the door and walked in. A group of pedestrians watching from afar were stunned.

Mr. Nam , known to be powerful and ruthless, acting with so much caution around someone was unheard of.

"Isn't that the guy that quarreled with Kelly a few moments ago?" Someone in the crowd inquired and his words were met with mocking laughter.

"Have you gotten so much wine to drink?" They noted in between their mocking laughs.

"He ran away when he was needed most like the coward that he is and you expect the richest man in the city to pay him so much respect." The bald man cocked a brow.

"Yeah. You're right."

Meanwhile, Quinin got into the car, and Nam didn't dare to make eye contact with him.

"Is there anything that I can help you with sir?

I presume since you're already in the city, you might not have somewhere to live so I prepared a resident for you already." He noted.

"That's thoughtful of you!"

Nam bubbled with joy at the praise of someone like Quinin. "Should I take you to the place now.."

"No! I'm sure that it's going to be great. But now, I need to see someone else at Eastside Specialist Hospital. Can you drive me there?" Quinin asked calmly.

Three years ago, he had placed his Uncle in the care of someone that had come seeking his help while his master was away.

And for a payment, and teaching him a few techniques, this person was tasked with taking care of his Uncle who grew sicker by the day.

"Eastside Specialist Hospital it is Sir. Quinin." He smiled.

At Eastside Hospital, Quinin jumped from the car and made his way to the reception.

With a clean sweep that was infused with hidden disdain, the receptionist asked.

"What can we help you with?"

"I want to see Doctor Col!" Revealed Quinin.

The receptionist choked under his breath. Doctor Col was not only the head doctor of the hospital, but he was also one of the most promising doctors in the city.

"Do you have an appointment with me!"

"No, I don't!" The frown grew deeper.

"I'm sorry but you can't see him without an appointment. If there's nothing else..."

"I'm a friend. Just call him and he will recognize me!"

The receptionist chuckled before eventually baiting his eyes.

"Really? Then I'm the president." His voice dripped with mockery.

"Just call him. That would end this charade between us!"

Though the voice of Quinin remained calm as he spoke, he pushed forward a cold and suppressive aura.

Keeping together his professionalism, the receptionist placed a call across to Doctor Col.

"Doctor Col. One.."

"Quinin."

"Quinn. He said you were a friend and wanted to see you. Though he doesn't have an..."

"Quinin. He's here? I will leave whatever I'm doing and come over right away."

The receptionist was dumbstruck. Col is always a busy man. With people always troping in to see him for medical advice.

Yet he was ready to leave everything that he was doing for a poor nothing of a farmer.

Maybe he had mistaken the name.

But when Doctor Col came over, he bowed before Quinin acting so cautions.

"Doctor Quinin. I never knew you would come today. I have waited for you for three years." He bowed again, leaving the mouth of the receptionist gap.

"I just came to town. How's my uncle doing?"

"He's fine. I made sure that he got the finest of treatment. You want to see him right?"

Quinn nodded his head and was led over to the VIP room. Quinn could feel the hot stabs of their perplexed glance.

Doctor Col who is always acting high and mighty being so respectful to someone who looks like they had just been shipped off from the gutters.

Inside the room, an old man lay and Doctor Col waited outside. A whirlwind of emotions formed in the heart of Quinin seeing his Uncle.

The powerful man had been reduced to this state after saving his life with his mentor.

His hands clenched tightly. His uncle's life force was dropping. He had to find the five ancient Herbs to restore his vitality.

Since he was still resting, he turned around to leave.

"Thanks for taking care of my uncle." Quinin appreciated the doctor.

"It's nothing." Smiled Col awkwardly. Compared to you saving my daughter three years ago when I came knocking for help.

"Is there anything else?"

Quinin shook his head and the doctor escorted him outside with a glint of excitement to his face.

Suddenly, their path was blocked. Doctor Col looked up with a frown, his eyes interlocking with that of Doctor Ben.

"Is there anything that I can help you with?"

"Walking with a farmer now. I never knew that you would fall so deep.

What now? Are you planning to stop your medical career to plant corn as you should have?"

Doctor Ben has always been jealous of Doctor Cols swift rising and would not let the chance to ridicule him escape from his grip.

"This isn't the time and place Ben. I have a guest." Doctor Col kept a subtle look to suppress his anger.

"Sure. I will let the farmer and intending farmer have their little chat. Just don't plant grains in our perfect stomachs." Ben finally tapped Col's shoulders before walking away.

Col heart dropped to the bottom of his feet, returning his gaze to where Quinin stood.

"I'm very sorry... It's just.."

"There's nothing to be sorry about." Quinin brushed the issue away and Doctor Col could only nod with appreciation.

The atmosphere suddenly collapsed. A stretcher was rushed into the hall, encircled by a good number of nurses.

A lady, with creamy-like skin and full boobs, encased in glittering beauty stepped into the hall together with the stretcher.

She was no other than Lady Xerxes, the richest heiress in the city.

The director of the hospital quickly matched forward toward her. His head bowed.

"Lady, Xerxes. Be assured that we will have her taken care of right this instant." He said with a panicking gaze, his eyes searching through the hall for Doctor Col.

"I don't want words, Doctor Moses. Can you do this?" Xerxes inquired. Though she remained calm, the pale sight of the man on the stretcher sent shivers down her inside.

"I can assure you that you came to the right place for sure. And he would be back on his feet."

The director finally pulled away to meet the other doctors.

"Where's Doctor Col. We need the best hands on this."

"Trashing around with his farmer friend." Replied Ben

The hands of the director clenched tightly

"Get him here right now."

About a few moments later, Doctor Col arrived bringing a subtle calm to the heart of the director.

"This's Doctor Col. The most promising Doctor in the city."

The heiress nodded and the young man was taken to the emergency world. His vitals were taken and a couple of tests were run.

The test results drew the color off the face of the Col, he pulled his hands quickly off from the patient.

"Is there anything wrong doctor?"

"He has Haitus. We can't help him." His gaze, together with the rest of the doctors in the room fell as he spoke.

The silence in the room returned, and Quin sighed before he continued speaking with the Mayor. “Now that I have your full attention, Mayor. Let’s get right to it…” Quin cleared his throat, and then he stated his demand; “I want you to step down as the Mayor of Eastside City with immediate effect. Call the media tonight, and tell everyone that you are no longer interested in being the Mayor of this City.” “What?!” Clifford gasped the moment the heard the demand that Quin made. Knowing the kind of person his friend was, he was certain that Elliot was not going to accept the condition. “You are joking, right?” Elliot asked from the other end of the line, but Quin remained silent, and he could tell that he wasn’t mincing words. “You can’t be serious, Quin! Telling me to step down as Mayor! Who do you intend that I hand over to? You?”“Not me, Elliot. I have no interest in that position.” Quin responded, and there was murmuring in the crowd. No one could understand what Quin was up

Sooner than later, some of the guests began to murmur while everyone waited impatiently for the Mayor to come to their rescue. The suspense in the room was so overwhelming that some of them began to draw close to Clifford while they kept their eyes on Quin.“I wonder why your dear friend has not said a word, Clifford.” Quin jeered, and then he moved closer to Clifford who struggled to remain where he was standing.“Oh, he is still on the call. I almost thought that he was gone.” Quin said after looking at the screen of the phone, and then he returned to his position. Clifford was confused. The mayor was too quiet for his liking, and it was very strange because he knew him as a very cruel man who was always eager to deal with anyone who tried to offend him. “Elliot? Are you still there?” Clifford didn’t want to lose faith in his friend. After all, he was still the Mayor of the City, and that meant that everyone was under his control. “I am here, Clifford…” Elliot took a deep breath

The room became silent again, more silent than it had ever been while the tension began to grow, creeping deeper into the bodies of Clifford and his guests. One of the lady guests was so afraid of what could happen that she began to sob, and soon her cry was so loud that Quin was able to hear it.Then he turned and saw who was crying.“Aha!” He sniggered. “Miss Hilda Yules? I almost didn’t recognize you.” Quin shook his head while the lady lifted her face to look at him.She had managed to wipe some of the tears off her face, but there was no guarantee that she wasn’t going to cry again. “Those tears have no impact on me,” Quin grunted in annoyance, and then he took a few steps close to Hilda, an angry look plastered all over his face.“I know everything you have done, Hilda. I am aware of your involvement with the Mayor. You not only warm his bed, but you also help him carry out some of his illegal business, that’s when his son is not available. Does Oliver know what you do with hi

Three other men joined Adam, ready to take the key forcefully from him. There was still panic inside the room, especially from some of the ladies who just wanted to get out.“Relax, everyone! We are going to get the key from this lunatic!” Adam assured everyone. And because they were aware of how ruthless he was, they believed that he could handle Quin.“I see.” Quin sniggered. “This is getting more interesting than I thought it was going to be. “Shut the fuck up and hand over the key!” One of the four men standing in front of Quin yelled at him, but he scoffed like always.“Easy, tiger. Screaming like a woman is not going to help you right now.” Quin said with a smirk, but he had already pissed the men off.“What the hell are we waiting for?! Let’s get him!” Adam said, and because he had been able to give the men the courage they needed, it didn’t take long for them to attack Quin. Kicks were released, punches were thrown, and before long the four of them fell to the ground, accomp

Slowly, Quin was led through the back into the building with the two men walking on both sides. They watched him closely, and were ready to take actions just incase he tried to run away. “You know I am going to beat you guys up, right?” Quin said with a smirk, but the men didn’t bother to say a word. They just took turns to stare at him while they continued moving. Halfway along the hallway, Quin suddenly stopped, causing the men to take two steps ahead of him. But they stopped as well and turned to look at him. “Why did you stop?” One of the men asked angrily, glaring at Quin with so much impatience.“I am tired of walking. I think my legs hurt.” Quin said, but his response pissed the men off.“Come on, make a move!” The other man yelled, his eyes turning red in annoyance.“I am not going to make any move from here.” Quin insisted, and this made one of the men start walking to him at once.“I asked you to move!” The man grabbed Quin by his hand and tried to force him to continue w

For a moment, Phil thought Quin was not going to say any other word, but he was only thinking of what to do at that moment.“I am sorry for this, Sir! I was just following instructions! Mr. Malcolm is not the kind of man that anyone would wish to offend!” “I am certain that you can see that the same applies to me as well, Phil. You should be more afraid of what I can do to you.” Quin grunted, and Phil moved backward in fear. “I a sorry, Sir! I didn’t mean to offend you!” Phil apologized, but Quin had no interest in that. “Call your boss, Phil. You will tell him exactly what I am about to say to you.” Quin said, but his words made Phil shiver more.“Please don’t make me do this, Sir! I can’t tell him that I failed. He is going to hang me.”“And I could decide to strangle you right away, Phil. The choice is yours.” Quin scowled, causing Phil to swallow hard again.“I will call him.” He nodded in agreement, and then he took out his phone from his pocket. He tried to stop his right ha
