The Hatuis surfaced three years back, taking the life of five prominent men in Eastside city. Up till this day, nobody knows exactly what it was.

It disappeared with no trace afterward. With no cure. Twenty-four hours was all it took to take a life.

"We should inform the heiress."

"About what?" The eyes of the Director were cocked in a questioning manner.

"About the situation. The earlier the better for all of us." Doctor Col informed.

"We aren't going to do any such thing. Do you understand who heiress Xerxes is and how this is going to impact our hospital?

Nobody will come here if anything happens to him. We can at least try."

"Or you aren't the great Doctor that you say you are." Ben scoffed.

Col racked his head. He had done his research on this disease and to be sure, it would be impossible to do anything about it. Expect.

"I might have someone that would be able to help." Col finally asserted.

"Then what are you still waiting for? Get them over here."

Ben grumbled with hands squeezed with hatred. Hearing the others sing the praises of the Doctor twitched his hearings.

Col walked away and met Quinin just before he left the hospital and they exchanged glances.

"I should presume that you have something to tell me Doctor Col?" Quinin's subtle voice came through.

"Yeah." The doctor stressed.

"There's a case of..."

Quinin shook his head, instantly putting an end to the words of the Doctor.

"I can't help. Doctor. And I presume you should already know the reasons."

"I understand perfectly fine Sir. Quinin. If it wasn't due to necessity, I would have never asked.

The issue isn't the patient but Xerxes, the heiress. If we can't do anything about this, the hospital might fold up."

Quinin's skin tightened. The Eastside Specialist Hospital has been supporting the health of his uncle. And moving his uncle out of the city was going to be a lot of hassle.

Together with Quinn, they walked over to the Director. Col blooming with excitement.

"This is Doctor Quinin. I learned a lot from him."

They seized him up from his head to his toe. Before the Director could speak, Ben stepped forward with a flash of rage and mockery in his eyes.

"What sort of a joke to you? You said you had a Doctor? So what's this?

Did we ever tell you that we need to grow corn!"

For the first time, the other Doctors defended Ben, shooting disappointed glances at Col.

"This's just extreme Doctor Col."

"Trying to amuse himself. He wants the hospital down so that he can build his." Ben added.

"Doctor Col. Do you care to explain what's happening here?" The Director frowned deeply.

"I can assure you, Director , that Sir. Quinin is proficient in the art of Medicine. I've seen what he can do. If anyone can help, then it has to be him."

The director scoffed.

"You must be such a fool to think that I'm going to allow such a patient to be used for your pitiful experiments.

If you don't want to help. Then the hospital has..."

The door flew open and the heiress stepped forward. Seeing that nothing had been done, she frowned deeply.

"Is this proof of how proficient you are with this job? Director?" Inquired Xerxes, sending shivers down the spine of everyone.

"I'm very sorry Lady Xerxes. But there was an issue. The issue involves gastrin and sadly, Doctor Col isn't efficient in such areas." He explained.

"Then what do you intend to do?"

"I will gather the best of our Doctors in the area and they will work on this. Be assured that the operation will be smooth."

The Director ran his eyes through the hall, pointing at the Doctors he deemed fit. Ben stepped forward.

"I think you're missing me, Director. I'm a professional in this area." He declared.

Murmurs filled the hall. Ben though he liked lording over others wasn't even up to an average doctor.

Yet the Director nodded his head.

"Yeah. I almost missed you out, Ben!" He announced. "Come this way."

The stomach of the other tightened into a knot. Ben was going to get the recognition from the heiress that he did not deserve. I told you to glance at Doctor Col. This was his way to the top. He smiled brightly.

"Doctor Col... If you and your farmers have nothing else to do here. Kindly exit the hall." The director only tried to control his anger because of the heiress, Xerxes.

"You didn't have to mention. We were just about to leave." Quinin ended, walking away from the hall.

With hands folded into his pants to control an outburst of rage, Doctor Col bowed at Quinin.

"I'm very sorry for what happened back then."

"You don't need to apologize."

Meanwhile, heiress Xerxes could not get her eyes off a particular man.

The way that Quinin moved. And the aura that he carried. She had studied people for a long time and exerted control over great men. Not even the most powerful in the city had such aura. And the fact that Doctor Col quivered at his feet, spoke volumes that he wasn't an ordinary man.

Her interest peaked as she got her assistant forward and whispered into his hearings.

"I need details about that man and what happened here." He ordered and he bowed his head.

It only took a few minutes before the details of everything that she had asked for fell into her hands.

It turns out that the man named Quinin was a farmer. Just as his dress suggested. However, there were no other details about it.

And though the other doctors would not give out what was wrong with the young man Xerxes brought forward, Doctor Col had recommended this man himself to help with this special case.

"Doctor Col pulling off a case and recommending someone as his mentor. I'm intrigued."

She dropped the documents and turned her feet around.

"I guess we should have a little chat. Especially when it has something to do with the life of someone close to me."

She ordered the guards to block Quinin before he would make his way out of the hall at any moment.

It had just been a day since Quin went to the Minister’s residence to heal his son, but that seemed to be enough to get Elliot out of office. He received a call that sent him out of the office, and it was more confusing because he couldn’t find out who was responsible for it. The citizens of Eastside were jubilating. It appeared that it was the liberation they had been hoping for, to be set free from the hands of such a tyrant who was called the Mayor of the City. That afternoon, he was preparing to leave his office after he received the call from the President of the country. With a box in his hands, and his two guards following behind him, he sauntered along the hallway that led out of the Mayor’s office, not certain of how he was going to deal with the massive crowd outside. Quin found his way into the building and emerged in front of Elliot. “Last day in office.” He said with a smirk on his face, and then he scoffed. “I am sure you never thought that today was going to be the

Sabina took a while before she managed to respond.“He came home from the holidays and started complaining that his chest was burning up. We took him to the hospital to get him checked, but they said that he was fine and we brought him back home. A few days later, his situation became worse, and he has needed to be on oxygen since then.” Sabina sobbed again, but that didn’t stop Quin from asking the question he had in mind.“How long has he been like this?” He asked, but it looked like the Minister’s wife was still not able to get a grip on herself. Modric had to answer on her behalf. “It’s been over six months, Doctor Quin. He has been this way since the beginning of this year.” He sighed in despair the moment he turned to face his son. Quin nodded. “This is not something serious, Minister. But I have a condition before I attend to him.”“Anything, Doctor Quin! Anything at all, consider it done.” Modric said loudly, and his wife supported him with a nod. Quin sighed. “Are you sur

Quin maintained a suitable distance while he drove behind the men. He knew that the Minister must have sent for him because he needed him to cure someone if not he himself, but also needed to be very careful. But it was just a thirty-minute journey, and Quin had already made up his mind that he was going to see the end of it.Eventually, they arrived at the Villa of the Minister of Defense. Quin remained standing while he stared at the men one after the other.“Do I know you?” He asked, convinced that he had never met them before. The men shook their heads one after the other. “You don’t know us, Doctor Quin. But we know you. We have heard so many good things about you.” One of the men said, staring at Quin with a smile. He expected Quin to be delighted with what he said, but since he didn’t know who they were, he didn’t know how to react to what he heard. “What do you want?” He asked, unable to hide his eagerness to leave. “We need to talk, Doctor Quin. Will you be kind enough to go with us?” The other man who had not yet spoken pleaded, but Quin said nothing.“Please, Doctor Quin.” He pleaded.“This is very urgent.” His partner added.Quin took a deep breath. “You two are yet to identify yourselves. Do you expect me to go with you wherever you want because you pleaded with me?”“Not at all, Doctor Quin. But this is very important. It is a matter of life and death.” T
