A group of men surrounded Quinin and a glim expression flashed through his face.

"What's the meaning of this?" Doctor Col face tightened.

"Don't take it the wrong way. I just want to have a little chat with the young man.." Xerxes stepped forward revealing her vibrant and suffocating aura even though she did nothing.

The other men beamed with an excessive amount of jealousy. A lowly look the man has been able to catch the attention of the almighty heiress.

"Ok..."

"I'm sure you already know who I am. I was informed that prior, Doctor Col noted that you would be able to help with my brother's case."

"So I wanted to know. Are you a well-trained doctor by any means?"

"I only know a little about medicine and nothing more. I'm sorry to disappoint you." Ended Quinin with a blank face.

"Oh... I must have gotten the wrong idea. Thanks for entertaining my curiosity." The bitter pill of disappointment rose through the throat of the heiress and she turned around to leave.

Doctor Col said nothing.

But before she left, the Director, followed by Ben and the other doctors rushed panicking into the halls.

"Is there a problem Doctor?" Xerxes inquired.

"This case Lady Xerxes. I'm sorry but we can do nothing about it. It's Haitus. The disease from three years ago.

We tried all we could do to stabilize the vitals of the patient but it was of no use. We can only assure you of a few hours with him before he eventually ends his course on earth."

Xerxes froze first with shock and then with fury.

"Didn't you tell me that you could help after carrying out the test?" Her face burned with rage that sent the Director falling back in his steps.

"Why didn't you inform me earlier that it was Hiatus!" She stood out more angry than emotional.

"We.. thought we could do something about it." Ben shook his head, his gaze falling on Col.

"Didn't you say that you would be able to do something about it earlier? Or you were just bluffing?

You gave us all the false hope. Now see where it has landed us all." Ben needed someone for the blame to be pushed on. It would be better if the Doctor was even stripped of his license. Ben has always thought that the person preventing him from rising through the ranks was Doctor Col.

"Everyone was there when he said those words. Right?" He turned to the other Doctors.

They could only nod their head in agreement. Frightened at what the outcome would be if they did otherwise.

Having issues with Doctor Ben was more like making life a living hell for yourself at the hospital.

"I never said I could." Doctor Col frowned at how manipulating the young man could be.

"I only recommended someone to which you declined."

"Oh. Your farmer friend?" Ben was choking with his laughter. The hands of the Doctor squeezed tightly, unable to do anything.

"Quinin?" Xerxes spilled with desperation itched in her throat.

"Then let him start working on him right away!" Shocks ran through the crowd like a wave.

Xerxes was desperate. The life of someone who dared to her was on the line. She had briefly forgotten what she had been told a few moments ago.

Besides, there was nothing to lose and a lot to gain if the one perfect chance worked out in their Favour.

Ben chuckled, thinking that he had heard wrong.

"I think you're making a terrible mistake. Doctor Col was only pulling a prank on us. Tell him Col how stupid you were."

"I wasn't joking when I said what I said." Col rebuke sternly and turned to Quinin, his expression softened.

"I'm very sorry for everything Doctor Quinin. But if you could help for your uncle's sake." His eyes formed a whirlwind of emotions as he spoke.

"Col what's wrong with you? Lady Xerxes. You aren't going to let someone who has barely been in the four walls of a medical school come close to someone close to you, right?

In ten years from now, I don't think he would even be able to get himself a license." The director spoke out of desperation while gritting his teeth.

"What's the percentage of him surviving?" Xerxes inquired.

"None."

"But wouldn't it be better to give the young man a dignified death?"

Xerxes slapped the direction right in the face, shattering the glasses.

"Any further words and you will be the one ending up without a license."

"I'm very sorry about that Doctor Quinin. If there's anything that you can do to save him."

Quinn nodded his head and proceeded into the operation room. The doctor stood back and watched while Doctor Col served as the assistant.

Quinin taking two shots of needles pulled off fluid right from the spine, replacing them with a dose of water.

The eyes of the Doctors widened. The central nervous system is the most complicated in the body

Even if the young man had a chance of survival before, now he wouldn't.

"Are you out of your mind?" The Director barked. "Do you want to damage him?"

"He was poisoned, dude. And thanks for your delay. It has affected his life force. This's the only way to save him."

"Huh? Poisoned. That's Haitus. You don't even know the proper diagnosis. Then how do you even intend to help you man?" Ben was going to use the slightest opportunity to make a shade out of Doctor Col and anyone who was related to him.

Everyone muttered curses at Doctor Quinin. Even Xerxes had her heart at the bottom of her stomach.

However, eventually, the breath of the man on the bed steadied after the last procedure and his vitals machine started beeping normally.

After a few moments, he was totally fine. Like nothing had happened to him in the first instance.

A hurricane of shocks pummeled forcefully through the spine of everyone that stood in the halls.

Adults are not left out, so many bodies are piled up in the morgue. You need to help us, you have to help us.”Quin grunted. He wanted to get some rest, but it appeared that he was going to have to change his plans. It was impossible to ignore the plea of the middle-aged man when they had already lost a lot of lives.“What do you want me to do, Mr. Lopez?”“We need you to come to our City at once, Doctor Quin! We will make sure that you are compensated for your services. You have my word.” Quin nodded. “I will be on my way then.” He said calmly and ended the call before the middle-aged man could say any other word. He got ready to leave for Pinewood City, packed ev

The documents contained a list of all those Amber’s father had managed to pay. There were over fifty of them, and the amount was over five hundred thousand dollars. Quin shook his head. “Your father is quite terrible.” He said, and then he returned the documents to her. Amber sighed. “He has paid all of them, I promise you. Please come save him, I beg you.” She still had tears in her eyes, and it didn’t look like she was going to let them trickle down her face at any moment.Quin took a glance at Nam, and as soon as he saw his eyes turning toward him, he looked away.Nam was still struggling with the guilt that surged into his body, and looking at Quin’s eyes was going to make it more intense. It had just been a day since Quin went to the Minister’s residence to heal his son, but that seemed to be enough to get Elliot out of office. He received a call that sent him out of the office, and it was more confusing because he couldn’t find out who was responsible for it. The citizens of Eastside were jubilating. It appeared that it was the liberation they had been hoping for, to be set free from the hands of such a tyrant who was called the Mayor of the City. That afternoon, he was preparing to leave his office after he received the call from the President of the country. With a box in his hands, and his two guards following behind him, he sauntered along the hallway that led out of the Mayor’s office, not certain of how he was going to deal with the massive crowd outside. Quin found his way into the building and emerged in front of Elliot. “Last day in office.” He said with a smirk on his face, and then he scoffed. “I am sure you never thought that today was going to be the

Sabina took a while before she managed to respond.“He came home from the holidays and started complaining that his chest was burning up. We took him to the hospital to get him checked, but they said that he was fine and we brought him back home. A few days later, his situation became worse, and he has needed to be on oxygen since then.” Sabina sobbed again, but that didn’t stop Quin from asking the question he had in mind.“How long has he been like this?” He asked, but it looked like the Minister’s wife was still not able to get a grip on herself. Modric had to answer on her behalf. “It’s been over six months, Doctor Quin. He has been this way since the beginning of this year.” He sighed in despair the moment he turned to face his son. Quin nodded. “This is not something serious, Minister. But I have a condition before I attend to him.”“Anything, Doctor Quin! Anything at all, consider it done.” Modric said loudly, and his wife supported him with a nod. Quin sighed. “Are you sur

Quin maintained a suitable distance while he drove behind the men. He knew that the Minister must have sent for him because he needed him to cure someone if not he himself, but also needed to be very careful. They were going to be driving out of Eastside and going to the neighboring City. But it was just a thirty-minute journey, and Quin had already made up his mind that he was going to see the end of it.Eventually, they arrived at the Villa of the Minister of Defense. Quin parked at the garage just like every other person who drove into the vicinity with a car.His car was far better than the majority of the cars parked in the garage, but that was not what he had in mind.He remained inside his car while he looked around. The mansion was not just tall, it was very beautiful, and it was obvious that the interior was going to be more wonderful. The two men who had been sent to get him had already alighted from the car they had come in, and seeing that Quin had refused to come out

Quin remained standing while he stared at the men one after the other.“Do I know you?” He asked, convinced that he had never met them before. The men shook their heads one after the other. “You don’t know us, Doctor Quin. But we know you. We have heard so many good things about you.” One of the men said, staring at Quin with a smile. He expected Quin to be delighted with what he said, but since he didn’t know who they were, he didn’t know how to react to what he heard. “What do you want?” He asked, unable to hide his eagerness to leave. “We need to talk, Doctor Quin. Will you be kind enough to go with us?” The other man who had not yet spoken pleaded, but Quin said nothing.“Please, Doctor Quin.” He pleaded.“This is very urgent.” His partner added.Quin took a deep breath. “You two are yet to identify yourselves. Do you expect me to go with you wherever you want because you pleaded with me?”“Not at all, Doctor Quin. But this is very important. It is a matter of life and death.” T
