Dream Space

Henry opened his eyes. He remembered everything that had happened. He had taken his last breath, and he immediately woke up here. Although he heard some feminine voice inside his head, he believed somebody must have spotted Mason’s men.

Henry stood up immediately. He was standing in the middle of a dark blue room. He was oblivious to what surrounded him, but he could see his body. The blue color only displayed him.

Henry gazed down without caring further. He knew this was the afterlife. He thought it did not exist, but it actually did. Tears dropped from his eyes, knowing he was dead.

“I am really dead.”

[System activation completed]

[Transferring all element powers to Henry Tucker]

Henry’s heartbeat increased upon hearing the words. Although he felt the voice inside his head, he believed somebody was here with him. How could his mind be that loud?

“Who is there? Show yourself.”

[Hi, I am Ria, your system guardian]

“What system? I don't have any system.”

[Host has been granted the God of All System. Host must utilize this system to save mankind from doomsday]

“What do you mean, God of All System? I am a fire mage.”

[God of All System allows the host to possess all element powers at S class level, but the host’s body is too weak to complete the process]

“Huh?”

[Host can currently use one element. Host element is fire. Host class is E rank. Host must begin training immediately. Host needs to level up as soon as possible. Host—]

“Where am I? Isn't this the afterlife?”

[Host is currently in dream space. Host can train here to fasten the level up process]

[Road to D rank; 100,000 push-ups, 100,000 squats, 100,000 high jumps, and 100,000 miles 160,934.4 km trek]

[Host must begin training now]

Henry was confused. He was supposed to be dead. How was he in this strange place, with this strange female voice sounding like a microphone?

“Am I not dead?”

[Host is still alive. Host must begin training now]

Henry did not know what to say next. He found the system’s words funny. First, classes could not be changed, and a mage could only level up by killing monsters. The highest level was ten. He was currently at level one because he had not killed any monster.

Henry wanted to say something, but he held his words. There was another way to level up. That was by wearing magical items or training with a level booster. He wondered if this was the same thing, but the difference was obvious immediately.

Magic items could not change a person's class, but this strange voice said he could change class.

Henry’s cheeks moved. He burst out laughing in his mind. He actually believed this was real. He was just having a dream. This showed how desperate he was to grow. Every day, he wished he could change his class. Now he finally got to dream about his wish.

At least he should enjoy his time.

“Host would like to use all element powers.”

[All element powers have been locked. Element powers can only be unlocked with red coins. Host has 4 red coins. Host can unlock each element with one red coin, but the host can't possess any elements. Host is weak and must train his body to possess another element]

“Interesting.”

“Host wants to change class to S rank.”

[Host must follow the roadmap. Host must complete D]

Henry sighed. This was not funny at all. He was supposed to be the ruler here. What kind of dumb dream was this?

“Host wants D rank roadmap.”

A screen tab displayed in front of Henry. His heart skipped upon seeing the screen. It appeared immediately he finished speaking.

He had to complete these exercise drills to evolve to D rank, but the task was impossible to achieve. It would take weeks or a month to accomplish such a task.

Since he was an awakened, it was supposed to be easy, but he was more of a normal human than an awakened.

“Host finds this task ridiculous. This will take weeks or months to accomplish. Host wants another task.”

[As long as the host trains in dream space, the host can accomplish this task in less than a day]

Henry’s eyes widened. He expected nothing less. This was a dream anyway. Things could change quickly.

“Okay, host will begin training.”

[System suggests training booster. Host can use a training booster to speed up training]

“Okay, I want a training booster.”

Another screen appeared in front of Henry, and it was titled

Henry’s forehead folded upon seeing the price of the training booster.

“I want 10X training booster.”

“Huh?”

Henry’s face squeezed. Why did the system propose them if he could not purchase any of them? He thought he had four red coins. It seemed it was different coins for different purposes.

“Show me all the coins.”

Rules: only lower coins can be converted to higher ones]

Henry’s eyebrows pushed down. This system was very frustrating. He really wanted to see his class change to D rank, even though he knew it was a dream. He just wanted to see it before he woke up.

“How do I get gold coins?”

[Host must kill a monster to get gold coins. Rewards vary by the level of the monster]

Henry covered his face with his palms. This was a nightmare.

“Host wants to start training.”

[What exercise are you starting with?]

Henry sighed.

“100 thousand miles trek.”

He was going to run until he woke up.

[Dream Space changing to fit exercise]

[Dream Space changed]

The room lightened, and Henry was standing in the middle of a normal room. He stared at the door in front of him. He opened the door, and he was greeted with an endless corridor.

Henry took a deep breath before he started running. He kept moving without keeping track of time. There was nothing to indicate how long he had been training. By his calculation, it should be over an hour already.

Henry stopped when he got tired. He continued with a different exercise, and then another one until he finally crashed on the floor.

This was the longest dream ever, and he could not wake up.

“I want to wake up. I am tired.”

Henry’s eyebrows moved a little. He did not know he had done over 50,000 push-ups. Although it was possible, since he was stronger than a normal human.

“Huh?”

Henry’s heart skipped.

“What do you mean twelve days?”

Henry’s head became dizzy.

[Host leaving dream space]

His eyes slowly opened. He stared at the white ceiling. This was not his home.

Where am I?

Jeremy’s voice came out with tears.

“Henry, you are finally awake. Thank goodness.”
