"Of course I know, Young Master."

Brian didn't like being called by that name but his attention was still centered on how this person who was standing not far from him could find out the facts that not many people knew about.

“Young Master, let me explain briefly.” Joe Maiden began to tell stories and Brian listened carefully.

Twenty-one years ago, Marco Jones, Brian's father who was a surgeon, married Beatrice Hoult who also worked as a doctor. Simon Jones was very, very happy with his only son's marriage.

However, one day Simon asked Marco to stop working as a doctor and continue his business.

However, Marco refused his father's wishes and a big fight ensued. Marco chose to leave the Jones family home and live alone with Beatrice outside the city.

At that time, Simon did not know that Beatrice, his daughter-in-law was pregnant. Because he was offended by his son's choice, Simon never looked for his only son and never got any news.

He lived alone as if he had no more sons and only focuses his life on managing his rapidly growing business empire. J-Corporation which was now one of the largest companies in the world.

A few months after Marco's leaving, Simon just got news about the death of his only son with daughter-in-law because of the car crash accident.

"But, when it happened, Master did not know about you, Young Master. He just knew about his grandson about three days ago when Karl York, a man who addopted you came to see him. He told everything he knew about you."

Brian was stunned. Karl York, the grandfather apparently knew all that? But, how could she keep it a secret from him? Brian didn't understand.

"Are you kidding me? That sounds like a story from a novel."

Brian shook his head, finding it hard to believe Joe Maiden's words.

Joe Maiden already suspected that the young master would not believe it easily and immediately brought evidence in the form of recorded conversations between Karl York and Simon Jones as well as photographs belonging to his late father.

From the recording it is so clear that he was indeed the grandson of Simon Jones.

Joe Maiden turned off the call recording. "Now, do you believe in what I said, Young Master?"

Brian was silent for a moment, but it didn't last long. He realized he couldn't help but say, "I want a DNA test."

Joe Maiden barely choked on his own saliva when he heard what Brian Jones had just said. Never would he have expected his boss' grandson to ask that.

"Shouldn't everything be confirmed first?" Brian looked at Joe with looked serious.

Joe realized he had no other choice, "Very well, Young Master. We can do a DNA test."

Brian nodded in satisfaction.

"But, Young Master. Before that, about Mr Jones' funeral." Joe Maiden looked at Brian expectantly.

Brian sighed, "Never would I have imagined I would be holding two funerals on the same day."

Joe took Brian's words as approval so he said slowly, "Let me show you to your room, Young Master."

Brian glanced around the room. "Where is this?"

"This is Mr. Simon's private clinic located on the 6th floor in J-House, Young Master."

"Private clinic? Sort of like a small hospital, is that it?"

"That's right, Young Master."

Brian could barely breathe. The room he was currently in was extremely luxurious and didn't look like a room in a clinic, rather similar to a hotel room with complete facilities.

Wait a minute, he said the 6th floor? How many floors are there really? Brian thought.

Seeing the confusion on Brian's handsome face, Joe immediately started explaining, "J-House has 10 floors, Young Master. Floors 1 to 5 are areas that can be visited by outsiders, while floors 6 to 10 are Master Simon's private areas. No anyone may be allowed to enter the area.”

Brian nodded, understanding. But even so, he still found it hard to believe everything. The photo that Joe Maiden showed me was indeed his father's, that's for sure. But, somehow he still wasn't convinced. He didn't doubt his mother and father. He just didn't know how to react.

Brian cleared his throat a little. "Where will you take me?"

"7th Floor, Young Master. This is your private area which was prepared by Mr. Simon."

"Prepared by Mr. Simon?" repeated Brian, still could not call that old rich man with 'Grandpa'.

"Yes, Young Master."

Brian nooded and finally followed that man without asking anything more.

Even, when he arrived at the floor which Joe Maiden mentioned, he still could not act normal. He repeated many times and talked to himself, "This must be only a dream, I am sure."

But, he realized that it all felt so real that there was no way it could have been a dream.

In fact, when Brian had finished getting dressed by wearing a luxurious black suit that strangely fit his body, he still looked at himself in surprise in the mirror.

As he was reaching into his pocket, he suddenly found a small piece of paper.

Frowning, he read, "I ordered this suit especially for you to wear to my funeral."

Brian glared in shock until the paper flew out of his hands. "What did the old man mean? Come on."

His heart almost left his place when he saw the strange letter from the person who might be his biological grandfather.

"He's so terrible. Is this the reason dad left him?" Brian muttered while still standing.

About an hour later, he was ready and once again held a funeral at the cemetery area which is not far from J-House.

"Why are there only a few graves here?"

Brian couldn't hide his astonishment after completing the private funeral procession for Simon Jones. Only Brian, Joe, and several bodyguards who were in charge of maintaining the security of the event were at the funeral.

"This is a private graveyard for the Joneses, so only the Joneses are here, Young Master."

Brian narrowed his eyes. Joe quickly added, "Mr. Marco and Mrs. Beatrice also have a place here."

"What are you talking about? I know where my mother and father are buried."

Joe flashed a smile. "The burial you know of is not the original grave of your mother and father, Young Master."

"What do you mean?" Brian was taken aback.

"Mr. Simon had him removed as soon as he found out about it."

Brian glanced at his grandfather's grave and felt annoyed.

However, having resentment towards someone who was no longer in this world was futile after all. Brian finally tried not to think about it too much.

Not wanting to upset Brian, Joe took him to the graves of his parents which were near the graves of his aunt and uncle. "Didn't my father have no brothers?"

"They are the cousins of Mr. Marco, Young Master."

Brian nodded in understanding and now sat for a while in front of his parents' graves. After ten minutes had passed, he turned and walked with Joe.

"Young Master, we will announce Master Simon's death in an hour, are you willing-?"

"Where do you want to announce it?" Brian asked in confused.

"The press, young master. Mr. Simon is one of the richest businessmen in the world. We need to make an announcement of his death as well as announce your return. As the sole heir of Mr. Simon."

Brian's face suddenly turned pale, "In front of reporters? Oh, no. I can't."

"But, Young Master-"

"Besides, I haven't done the DNA test yet. I won't do anything about it."

Joe was starting to get confused. "Young Master, if you don't announce it, there could be chaos. This company could become a bone of contention."

Brian gulped. "You're just scaring me right?"

"No, Young Master. There are so many people who want to take over Mr. Simon's company. This is the reason for Mr. Simon to bring you here immediately, he wants a legal heir to replace him."

Brian considered. “Okay, I think I have an idea. Will you listen to me?"

“Young Master, what do you need right now? Do I need to-”“No, Joe. You don’t need to do anything. You’ve done your part, and that’s enough.”Joe Maiden nodded in understanding.
