Undertaking the first quest

The card started to give a unique reaction, a red light flashed out.

“Master, your card is ready!”

Gladio took the card, it contained all the data about himself. "Thank you!"

"Well! Then you need to go to the board over there to find a quest that might be able to be carried out!”

Gladio turned in the direction that woman was pointing, there was a large board plastered with paper. Gladio started walking and checked the contents of those papers.

The contents of the paper contained information on quests, recruiting adventurers, and fugitives. Each quest is distinguished from the mark on the paper, for the low quest will be marked with a D, while for the highest is an S.

"Hmm... now what quest should I do?" Gladio was confused, he actually wanted to take on a higher and more dangerous quest, but he understood this would not be possible.

His condition, which is only Bronze rank, is certainly not allowed to participate. Gladio took a random quest that had the symbol D.

Then he gave that quest to the maid.

"Huh? Are you sure to do this quest?” asked the maid with a worried face.

"Uh? So what? Is there something wrong with this quest?”

“This quest normally wouldn't be carried out by those who just registered adventurers! This quest contains about the extermination of wolves in the south, there is indeed famous for strong monsters that often appear! If you go there…”

Gladio knew exactly what she meant. "What else can we do? I'm here already pulling that quest, now let me finish it all! I can't possibly back down here! Everything has happened, and I must finish it soon as possible!”

“a-Alright! I will stamp this paper!” She rushed to finish her duty, and then handed the paper to Gladio.

Gladio's feet started to walk away, the maid looked at Gladio's back which was getting further away. That girl's face became worried.

"Is it okay for him to go there?"

"What are you saying?" asked a woman who was the senior of that maid.

“C-Chief! No, I'm just worried about the adventurer who just came here, he wants to carry out a dangerous quest of exterminating monsters!”

“I see, I understand what you're saying, but here we won't be able to stop the wild souls of an adventurer! They are creatures you can't stop, so it's useless to be sad! Even if he survives, it's good luck!”

"Okay!"

Gladio is indeed an innocent and stupid person, he doesn't know anything about the quest that is being undertaken, only a desire in his heart that continues to lead him to complete all of this.

At night in the middle of a lonely forest, Gladio looked down at his palms. His palm reminded everything of what had happened.

“So this hand is something dangerous, but why did I get this fate? Is this the fault of the gods? No, I think this is indeed a destiny that I have to live, whatever happens, I have to go through, this might be a little annoying, but never mind!” Gladio clenched his fists as a promise was made.
