29. Yelling At Each Other

Zana's sudden outbreak of crying reflexively confused Alice. The sobs coming out of her mouth were getting louder.

Alice was suddenly at a loss for what to do. She was just silent, her gaze could not be separated from Zana, who was trying to muffle the sound of her crying by covering her face.

There was a speck of pity and guilt that Alice felt when looking at the injured Zana. Her tears already proved that the girl was tormented by what happened with Hilda. No matter how much they used to be friends, that fact could not be erased.
