Chapter 1: The Beast That Shouldn’t Be
Chapter 1: The Beast That Shouldn’t Be
"What kind of bullshit ending is that? An open ending? Are you fucking kidding me?" Ryan slammed his phone down onto the bed with the frustration of a man betrayed by fiction itself. "He had all the girls lined up for a harem and still chose none? Coward. Absolute waste. Every single one of them was perfect!" The device bounced like a dying fish on the sheets before flying off and smacking the wall with a nasty crack. Ryan’s heart plummeted. "Shit—no, no, no!" he cried, leaping toward the bed in panic. As he lunged, his shin collided mercilessly with the sharp edge of the wooden bed frame. "FUCK!" he yelled, gripping his leg as an electric jolt of agony shot through his entire body. Unfortunately, the pain was just getting started. As he instinctively lifted the injured leg to protect it, his balance faltered. He hopped three times on his left foot, then slammed his bare pinky toe into the iron leg of the desk. "You absolute bastard!" he bellowed, tears springing to the corners of his eyes. His body twisted mid-fall, flailing like a puppet cut from strings. In that split second before he fell, Ryan saw the jagged edge of his desk, quietly waiting to rip him apart. 'Why is my luck always shit?' was his last coherent thought before everything went white. Not black. Not nothingness. White. Blinding, searing, divine white that swallowed the world. "W-What the fuck?!" Ryan jerked backward, shielding his eyes. His body reacted before his mind could catch up, stumbling as his eyes fought the searing light. He was surrounded by teens, lined up in rows like students—or maybe new recruits. They were staring straight at him. "What did he summon?" "Look—above his head! Is that...?" Ryan blinked, confused by what they were saying—until it hit him. He could understand it. Somehow, he could understand every word. His neck ached as he slowly tilted his head up, feeling an uncanny weight pressing down on his skull. Perched above him like a regal crown was a wolf—or something wolf-shaped. Its white fur glowed like snow in sunlight, and its golden eyes watched him with quiet power. “A... wolf cub?” Ryan muttered aloud, dumbfounded. Then, from his left, someone suddenly laughed. It was loud and sharp, breaking the quiet like it didn’t care at all. “HAHAHAHA! No way! He summoned an actual beast? A fucking mongrel mutt? Hilarious. What a walking failure!” the voice sneered. Ryan barely heard it. His head hurt badly, like hot metal was being poured into his brain. His legs buckled. He clutched his temples. "Ghhh—aaaaAAAGGGHH!" He screamed. Screamed like his soul was being shredded. “Oi! I think it broke him!” Ryan wasn’t listening anymore. Images flashed in his mind—thousands of them. A lifetime of memories that weren’t his. A dirt path, endless fields, a wooden cart, cows... a man calling himself Ethan, Ryan’s father... and a boy who had never known anything outside the boundaries of his village. He ran. Blindly. He didn’t notice the staring faces, the shiny stone walls, or the columns with floating runes. None of it mattered to him. He needed a fucking toilet. A corner. Anywhere to curl up and die in peace. He found a bathroom, rushed into the closest stall, and slammed the door behind him. Then, collapsed. The pain lasted five goddamn minutes. Time passed slowly. It felt long and painful. He groaned, cursed, and sometimes whispered, “fuck this place.” When the burning finally stopped and his mind felt calm again, he gasped for air. His skin was wet with sweat and felt cold and sticky. “What the hell... just happened to me?” “You’re finally finished,” said a deep voice from above. Ryan looked up just in time to see the wolf jump off his head. It landed softly, like it had been trained to kill. “What the actual—!” A glowing blue screen bloomed into existence midair. 💓 Name: Sphinx Level: 1 Race: Celestial Wolf Quality: Basic (Low) “Wait... Sphinx? As in that Sphinx? Egyptian mythology—?" “Wrong mythology, genius,” the wolf grunted. “Focus. Look inside. Dig through the memories, idiot.” “And it talks?!” Ryan stared in disbelief. “Not just talks. I insult too,” Sphinx added, baring a toothy grin. “Now shut the fuck up and process your damn memories.” Ryan clenched his jaw but obeyed. And suddenly—things clicked. His name was Ryan. But the boy whose memories he now possessed? He’d been born Ryan too, the son of a farmer named Ethan in a backwater village so irrelevant it didn’t even appear on maps. Then one day, a robed man passed through town and declared Ryan had "Dioki"—the essence of magic. He was sent to the capital, to enroll in Kuma Academy, the place where people learned to become summoners. Three centuries ago, monstrous beings tore through the world. Humanity teetered on the edge of annihilation. But with the invaders came Dioki—the mystic force that turned humans into summoners. With runes, circles, and alchemy, summoners brought powerful familiars from distant realms. Most looked human—goblins, elves, dwarves, and occasionally, vampires or angels. The summoners of highest tier could even call upon divine entities. Ryan opened his eyes, jaw slack. “I’ve transmigrated. I’m in another fucking world,” he murmured. “Glad you figured it out without pissing yourself,” said Sphinx, unimpressed. “Your old life? Gone. You got lucky. Some glitch in the summoning circle brought your soul here and me with it.” “But... why summon you?” Ryan asked. “Aren’t all familiars supposed to be humanoid?” “That’s the thing, dumbass.” Sphinx’s eyes narrowed. “You’re not like them. You didn’t just awaken Dioki. You rewrote it. Your existence breaks the rules.” Ryan’s eyes lit up. “So... I summoned you because I’m different. You’re not a mistake—you’re a divine beast.” “Fucking finally,” the wolf snorted. “You catch on quick—when you’re not busy whining.” Ryan leaned against the stall wall, his breathing finally evening out. He remembered the test to enter Kuma Academy. First, you had to summon something. Then, you had to answer questions on paper. According to this body's memories, the summoning part had just happened. And if you summoned something impressive? They’d let you in regardless of your test score. But if you failed? You were kicked to the gutters. Ryan looked at Sphinx, who now lay sprawled on the floor like a lazy cat—but still radiating power. “If I fail the written part, I’m fucked,” Ryan muttered. “I’m just a farmer. I don’t know shit.” “But if they realize what I summoned... maybe I’ve got a shot.” Sphinx tilted his head, clearly amused. “You still think I’m not impressive? Bitch, I’m Sphinx. Divine beast. King of celestial bloodlines. One growl from me and every other summoned familiar in this dump will drop to their knees.” “You don’t look that badass,” Ryan said with a smirk. “You look like a plush toy.” “You ungrateful cunt,” Sphinx growled, pouncing at him. “GAHHH! Stop biting me, you mangy carpet!” “I am a fucking WOLF!”Expand

Summoned Celestial Divine Beast Chapter 267: Smoke and Questions
Chapter 267: Smoke and QuestionsAxel’s lungs dragged in air that felt wrong, heavy, like breathing inside a sealed coffin filled with someone else’s fear. His vision spun wildly as the environment around him refused to make sense. One moment he had been moving through a familiar corridor with the confidence of a man who believed his secrets were perfectly hidden. The next, reality had been ripped away and replaced with this strange chamber that felt both silent and watchful, like a predator crouched just beyond the limits of sight."Where is this?" Axel shouted, panic flooding his voice with an ugly tremor that stripped away any trace of composure. He twisted his head left and right, searching for exits, for windows, for anything that might reassure him he still had control over his situation. Instead, his eyes landed on a figure he recognized all too well. "Who are you? Ryan?!"Shock twisted his expression further. Kidnapping had never been part of the r

Summoned Celestial Divine Beast 266: The void peeled apart.
Veil of Quiet SchemesThe city that wrapped itself around Frexia Academy pulsed with a strange contradiction that afternoon, a rhythm that belonged equally to exhaustion and fragile relief, as though the streets themselves were tired of witnessing endless crises yet too superstitious to celebrate peace before checking whether peace was armed.Ryan and Chaollete Ashley walked side by side beneath banners of shimmering Dioki light that drifted lazily above the central avenue, their footsteps unhurried for the first time in what felt like several lifetimes compressed into a few chaotic weeks. Trouble had stalked them relentlessly, problems layering over problems with the enthusiasm of a sadistic storyteller who refused to grant his characters a single calm chapter. Now, however, a rare window had opened, a quiet pause between disasters, and both of them were determined to exploit it shamelessly. They visited shops. Not one or two out of obligation, but dozens

Summoned Celestial Divine Beast 265: The Scales of Mercy and Vengeance
265: The Scales of Mercy and VengeanceVivian had escorted Ryan back to her office, with Chaollete Ashley trailing behind like a shadow that didn’t quite know whether it wanted to be a punishment or a comfort. The air inside the room felt heavier than it should, as if the walls themselves were holding their breath, waiting for the moment when Ryan would say something stupid enough to justify a new level of suffering. Vivian’s face was stone, her eyes cold and sharp, and the silence between them was a kind of warning.“So,” Vivian said at last, her voice smooth but sharp, “care to explain why you chose to throw yourself into danger like it was a hobby?”Ryan leaned back slightly in the chair, his posture casual, his expression calm in the way of someone who knew he was trying to avoid trouble and still managed to stumble into it anyway. “I was never in danger,” he said, and he meant it, because he’d built his entire life around being the kind of person who

Summoned Celestial Divine Beast 264: The Afterglow of a Storm
264: The Afterglow of a StormThe aftermath of the battle had drawn a crowd, not because students were naturally curious about violence, but because the academy had finally done something worth noticing, and that was rare enough to be worth lingering over. People slowed their steps without even realizing it, as if the air itself had thickened around the courtyard, making it difficult to move forward. Murmurs rose like a swarm of insects, chaotic and relentless, as everyone tried to piece together what had just happened. The truth was simple, but the students refused to accept anything straightforward, because the human mind loves drama more than it loves facts.“What the hell is going on?” someone whispered, voice barely audible over the hum of confused voices.“The student council is fighting someone,” another replied, eyes wide as if he could see the conflict replaying in his head.“Look, teachers are coming,” a girl said, pointing toward the bu

Summoned Celestial Divine Beast 263: The Cage of Elemental Judgment
263: The Cage of Elemental JudgmentNoelle arrived alone, wearing nothing but her armor and carrying her sword, as if she had no need for a familiar to back her up. It wasn’t arrogance; it was a deliberate choice, a clear message that she didn’t rely on extra tricks or borrowed power when she was certain of her own strength. In contrast, Flora stood beside her with elemental spheres floating around her, each one a spirit shaped from raw nature, each one small yet packed with the concentrated might of its element, like a collection of bottled storms and fires and tides waiting for a single command.Axel, however, had no spirits at all. His familiars were the kinds of creatures that thrived in shadows and murder: dark elves with weapons sharper than their intentions, and humanoid shadows that moved with unnatural silence. Watching them, Ryan could already tell what kind of battlefield Axel preferred. Assassination. Stealth. Speed. Precision. That was the type of war

Summoned Celestial Divine Beast 262: The Pawn’s Awakening in the Shadow of a Wolf
262: The Pawn’s Awakening in the Shadow of a WolfAxel’s eyes widened until they looked like they might fall out of his skull, and the shock that flooded his face was not the kind that came from surprise, but the kind that came from realizing he had been dancing to someone else’s tune for far longer than he had ever bothered to notice.“Just think about it,” Ryan said, letting the words hang in the air like a knife, because he didn’t need to shout to make a point, and he didn’t need to threaten to prove he was already winning. “Since you like chess so much, I’ll use it as an analogy. The reason I’m moving my pieces is because the black pawn has moved, exposing the king. You and I never play chess.”Axel stood up abruptly, his body stiff with insult and indignation, because being compared to a pawn was an insult no ambitious person could tolerate, especially not someone who believed they were already playing the game better than everyone else.“You
