Ben's past

Stacey stood still in front of Ben she gazed at him giving him an icy look, she stood shocked at what Ben had said, “what you knew why you didn’t tell me?” She asked her voice was iced cold, Ben looked at her and gave her a faint smile, “it was years ago Stacey after I had escaped from DR Young I was brought to New York, there I meet Peter.” Stacey looked at her boyfriend her green eyes filled with rage, “fuck Peter!” She shouted in an angry voice, “what’s this about the Outcasts and who the fuck are they?!” She asked her voice sounded like pure venom.

Before he could answer her they both heard a loud rumble coming from behind the pillar where they both were hiding, from their hiding place both Ben and Stacey heard the screech of brakes, Stacey then looked around and saw a large black colored van that had pulled up just outside the place, it’s windows were blurred as not to let anyone see inside. She then saw both Shadow and Watching moving towards it, behind them both were the group of captured MPs being led to the van by the small group of soldiers, “is this it then Shadow?” Watcher asked the taller man as he opened the back of the van up, “is this all of them?” Shadow turned his head to the smaller man and smiled,” my dear watcher do you doubt my abilities in being a hunter? 

This is all of them and I can assure you that the boss will be very happy,” saying this he opened the door to the driver’s seat before he went inside, he nodded his head to watcher to join him. As they both went inside the van the solders that started gathering up the MP’s and began loading them in the back of the van, this reminded Stacey of the time where she had visited a friend in the country, whist on the visit she had gone to a cattle market and seen cows and a few other farm animals been loaded onto the backs of trucks it had made her feel ill. 

This was different as it made her sick, she then turned to face Ben hate was in her eyes and he could tell that she wasn’t happy, “what is wrong with you Ben aren’t you going to do anything?” She snapped, “what is it that you aren’t telling me?” She asked as he grabbed hold of his neck and pulled him close, Ben looked at her and then turned his head away as they both heard the trucks engine start, he then looked at her again, “do you really want me to tell you Stacey? Or would you rather us fight like this?” Hearing this she let go of his neck,.

Ben fell to the ground with a thud, he then looked up at her “it all started five years ago after you had escaped from that facility, after you have escaped others tried myself included.” Stacey looked at him her eyes softened, “really babe? I had no idea of that,” Her voice was normal now, “what happen and where did you end up?” She asked as he put her hand out to him and helped him up, Ben looked at her and smiled faintly, “I ended up in New York City unfortunately with a bad crowd which put me in prison,” Stacey looked at him in shock and surprise, “prison? How and why?” Ben looked at her and lowered his head in shame, “gun running, gang warfare you name it I was involved in it,” he looked at her and for the first time in his life she could tell that he was ashamed for his actions. “Understand this Stacey that part of my life is over and I feel nothing but regret and guilt over what I did,” Stacey walked toward him and threw her arms around him, “it’s OK babe I am sorry but how did you escape from prison?” Ben whispered into her ear and smiled, “Oh that is where I met Peter,” Stacey’s eyes near popped out from their sockets, “what was he was a prisoner too?”

Q Ben laughed faintly, “no he was young then and just starting out in politics, he had heard of my powers and had a preposition for me to use my powers to help other Mega humans and form an understanding with humans, I agreed to this and so he had me released from prison my crimes erased.” Ben let go of her and looked into Stacey’s green eyes, “that is when I met Craig Chung the future leader of the Outcasts and my enemy,” Stacey looked at Ben with a puzzled looked on her face, “was this Craig working for Peter too like you?” She asked in a puzzled voice.

 Ben gave her a faint smile, “he was a former member of the British army but had been discharge after undergoing his transformation,” Ben let out a deep breath as he gave Stacey a sad look, “when I first met Craig I could feel how strong his powers were but I could also feel something else much stronger his anger and his hatred towards humans I could feel like a storm rising inside his body.” Again, Stacey looked at him, “didn’t you tell Peter?” 

She asked him as she laid one of her hands onto his shoulders, Ben again let out another deep breath, “I tried to warn him Stacey but Peter wouldn’t have it he just said that I was being to over cautious and that I should give Craig a rest as he had had a hard time.” Before she could answer him there came a loud noise of a vehicle’s engine they both turned around and saw the large van that the two mega humans were driving was moving, inside were the MP’s now prisoners and the soldiers Stacey turned towards Ben anger was in her eyes, “come on Ben,” she shouted in an angry voice, “we have got to save those people now!” 

She was about to run when she felt an invisible force pulling her back she turned her head to see Ben with one of his hands raised, she gritted her teeth and started shouting, “what the fuck are you doing Ben let me go?!” “I can’t do that Stacey,” Ben said his voice was low and emotionless, “why not? Don’t you want to save those people?” She said her voice was filled with both anger and rage, “yes I do but please remember that there are only two of us and God knows how many of them we wouldn’t have a chance to fight all of them now would we?” 

He then let his hand drop freeing Stacey she then walked up to him, “then how are we going to fight them Ben and what are you suggesting that we do?” Ben then look at her as he put his hand into one of his jackets pockets, she watched as he pulled out a black colored mobile phone, “first thing is first Stacey,” he said as he began dialing a number onto the keypad, “we need to get the hell out of here as quickly as we can.”
