"Take a look at the badge again; this is a giant dragon and not a bear!" Eric said, causing the security guard to take the invite again, taking one last look.

"“No wonder I always felt something was off! So that's what it is! You're right!" he said in a rage.

This mistake could make him lose his job; thinking of the possibility of that, he was immediately enraged.

"You came here, thinking that you could deceive your way in?" he asked.

"I'm not surprised that you could stoop so low, Ethan. You must have planned this with Roseanna, but do you actually know what's funny?" She paused, turning to Eric before shifting her gaze back to them.

"It's funny how it almost worked if not for Eric," she added.

"You should be grateful for the kind of senior manager that you have because trust me, if any other official had found out, you would have lost your job," Dana said.

"You're dressed in a fine suit, but your attitude downgrades your personality." The security guard commented, feeling disgusted.

"Anyway. I didn't forget our bet. I'm looking forward to seeing the both of you on your knees," Dana said, smiling mischievously.

"But there's one more thing! I can save the both of you from the shame and embarrassment by letting you guys in, but Ethan has to do something for me first,"

Roseanna scoffed, gazing at her, "And what is that?"

"Ethan will have to beg me. Apologize to me for what happened yesterday, and I want him to do it on his knees. I want to see that you regret bringing the papers for me to sign in the first place," she said, but Ethan rolled his eyes and shifted his gaze to the security man, the person who he actually has to explain to.

"Look here, I'm sure you're misunderstanding...."

"What's going on here?" The security captain walked in; he had been noticing the arguments going on for minutes, and he needed to come see it for himself.

"Sir, this invite card was forged. The man and his lady tried to fool me; how desperate can one be?" he added.

The security captain took the invitation and turned pale with shock.

“This… This is…!”

“Captain! Isn’t their forgery extremely poor?” A security guard laughed. “They even got the emblem wrong, mistaking a dragon for a bear…”

“Shut up!” The security captain angrily raised his hand and slapped the guard.

“Captain! What… What are you doing?!” The security guard panicked, trembling all over as he asked in fear.

“Have you never read the security manual? The company issued three types of invitations today. The Silver Bear is just the most basic one! The highest-level invitation is marked with a dragon, which means they hold the company’s Supreme Card!”

The security captain was about to lose his mind.

Holders of Secret Company’s Supreme Card had a status equivalent to board members!

Even if they didn’t own shares, they still possessed various privileges—far beyond what low-ranking security guards like them could afford to offend!

“Su… Supreme Card? The highest-level invitation?” The security guard was dumbfounded, and even Dana and Eric couldn’t believe it.

“That’s impossible!” Dana lost control and screamed at the security captain. “You must be mistaken! How could these two losers be Supreme Card holders of Secret Company? They’re just garbage!”

Eric also growled in anger. “You’re the security captain—you should know that Supreme Card holders are of the highest status. How could these two pieces of trash have one?”

The security captain frowned, his face turning serious. He respectfully bowed to Ethan and asked, “Excuse me, sir, may I verify your Supreme Card?”

“Hah! I guarantee he doesn’t have a Supreme Card! That invitation is obviously fake!” Dana screamed hysterically.

“When his lie is exposed, Secret Company won’t let them go! You have no idea how powerful the company is. You’ll end up as beggars, roaming the streets for the rest of your lives!” Eric added.

Surrounded by skeptical gazes, Ethan chuckled.

“A Supreme Card, huh? Turns out, I do have one.”

Ethan pulled out his wallet, which contained numerous different cards. Casually flipping through them, he took out an exquisitely crafted black card and tossed it to the security captain.

“Go ahead, check it thoroughly so these idiots won’t keep whining.” Ethan said nonchalantly.

“Ethan… I… I’m a little nervous!” Rosanna’s voice trembled. Everything happening now was far beyond her expectations and control.

“Relax,” Ethan said gently. His calm voice somehow reassured Rosanna, making her feel at ease.

The security captain took the Supreme Card and pulled out a scanning device, swiping the card lightly.

Everyone anxiously awaited the result.

Beep… Supreme Card, Number 0001. Security Clearance: Highest. Holder’s information: Unavailable. Welcome, esteemed Supreme Guest, to Secret Company!

The entire room fell into silence.

“What does that mean?” Dana frowned. “What do you mean, ‘information unavailable’?”

The security captain trembled. He respectfully returned the card to Ethan, nearly kneeling on the spot.

“S… Sorry! Esteemed Supreme Guest, please forgive our negligence. You and your companion may enter.”

“Wait! How does ‘information unavailable’ prove that his Supreme Card is real? Are you covering for him?!” Dana shrieked.

“Enough! This is Supreme Card No. 0001—the most prestigious of all Supreme Cards! We don’t even have the clearance to access the cardholder’s identity!” the security captain roared.

He hated Dana to the core. If not for her, how could he have offended the holder of Supreme Card No. 0001?!

“This… This can’t be real…” Dana murmured in disbelief, her eyes lifeless.

“Alright, no need to be too scared. It’s your duty to carefully check everyone’s credentials,” Ethan said calmly.

The security captain was so overwhelmed with emotion that he nearly cried—Ethan wasn’t blaming him! “Thank you! Thank you for your generosity!”

However, Ethan then casually remarked, “But… what should be done about those who offended a Supreme Guest?”

His gaze landed on Dana and Eric, filled with meaning.

The security captain immediately understood. He straightened up and firmly declared, “Rest assured, esteemed Supreme Guest. These two will absolutely not be allowed into the banquet tonight!”

Ethan chuckled, patted the captain’s shoulder, and walked into the banquet with Rosanna.

“Wait!” Dana shrieked and tried to rush forward for an explanation.

But—

She slammed into someone hard. Looking up, she saw the security captain’s cold, resentful face.

“The Supreme Guest has spoken,” he said icily. “You—and that man over there—aren’t stepping foot inside tonight!”

While Ethan walked with Mr. White towards the table, he tried looking around to see if his target was in the room with them."Gentlemen, meet Mr. Brandon Martell. I'm sure some of you must have encountered him before," Mr. White said, but Bran doubted it, as most of his business affairs are handled by his assistant. He hated making a face in meetings."Please sit." Mr. White said after they exchanged a few formalities."But Mr. White had informed us that you would be present. I hope you don't mind if I say that I'm not in the mood for business at the moment." Said one of the men at the table,"Gentlemen, I didn't come here to discuss business; besides, the offer I had made you five days ago has been occupied." I'm sorry, but I couldn't wait to discuss business over a cup of wine," Xavier said. The men felt important, probably because they've been in business for a long time and think he's too young to handle his father's affair."I hear that you're still unmarried, Martell." "He's my son; what do you suggest I do with him?" Alexander asked, causing a sly smile to form on Brandon's lips.He enjoys a good game of question and answer. "I don't think it's up to you anymore, Alex. I told you before, if your son happens to turn his back on us, I'll take him out myself," Bran said, emptying his glass of wine before getting to his feet."I suspect that you're getting too old to draft a good plan. I'll be taking my leave now so you can catch your flight. Meanwhile, I have a strategy." Brandon said, "What strategy?" Alexander asked, arching his brows,"You'll see." Bran responded before heading out of the room.Brandon got back to his estate; he sat in his car for a while, gazing at his steering wheel, but his view of it was blurry. He reached for his cigarettes in his cup holder and placed one between his lips. Brandon felt numb, sitting in that car. It wasn't a foreign feeling; what seemed foreign to Bran was happiness. He had felt it once when his father was a

"What is the need for them? I'm safe." Rosanna muttered causing Ethan to frown at her words."You're safe now, but you don't know how long you'd be safe for," he said. "Ethan... I think you're overthinking this thing. No one knows about the baby yet, although it'll soon surface, and if you want, I can beg my grandmother to keep it a secret until I give birth, although I doubt that because she has already informed close relatives." Rosanna said, but Ethan didn't care if people knew or not.He didn't underestimate the Guardo family, but he knew they were no match for him. After dropping the call with Rosanna, he dialed Antonio's number. "Antonio, I haven't gotten a report from you about the Nelson group!" He said, "I know, and I have a suspicion at the moment, but until it's been confirmed, I do not plan on bothering you with it," Antonio said, causing Ethan to arch his brows, asking,"And what suspicion is that?"
