"I know you guys know the reason why I called you. The death that happened at Placid hotel. I want an investigation, and a full report on it, since it concerns the ongoing investigation of what happened at that unknown club. I want Daily Research to be the first to publish this. You get me!" Mrs. Taylor Leon commanded, and everyone nodded.

"It's competition, people! Anyone of you who breaks, and publishes this case first will be promoted to the second stairs. You'll no longer be an intern, but a full-blown journalist." She told them.

"Ooh. Desperate." Someone commented with a whisper.

"Y'all got me, right!" She hollered.

"Yes ma'am!" Everyone answered.

She nodded and left towards the elevator.

Kara let out a huge sigh. "Things are becoming serious." She said as they walk back to their desks.

Zoey nodded in agreement. "Although I still wonder how you knew he died."

"Isn't it obvious? His message was his testimony. People who do that are about to die."

Zoey frowned at her. "Oh."

"We're lucky we have the lead. We could break this case, Zoey. Even reporters will meet us for a scoop." Kara told her with a smile, and Zoey nodded smiling too.

"I feel like a bad person smiling when someone just died," Zoey commented.

They got to their desk and sat down. "Kara, you should ask your mom how the investigation is going, and what they've found out. I doubt they haven't come across the message that was sent to you."

Kara blinked remembering he deleted it. Although she wondered why knowing he knew he'll die. "Quick question, did Renard have a family?"

Zoey nodded. "He's a divorcee, with two daughters who are living with their mom, and they live very far from Kansas."

Kara equally nodded. 'I'm pretty sure he didn't want them to know he was involved with ratting them out, or his family could be collateral damages no matter how far they live.'

"I'll talk to my mom." She told Zoey.

"I still wonder why I have to meet with Ace Lewis, dad. He's not even really an employee in his father's carpenter business."

Mr. Stark sighed. "Son, just do it. It's nothing wrong with two sons of million dollars company meeting each other. Again."

Hunter shook his head. "I don't care about Ace, dad. A very long time ago."

"You're gonna have to meet him, Hunter. John Lewis's company has increased for the past eight years we decided to cut the cord. We have to tie it back together."

"You know something tied together, doesn't stay tied for too long, right dad?"

Mr. Stark nodded. "Yeah, it doesn't. That's why we'll make sure we're on the victory side of the cord, and he's well..not."

"What vendetta do you have against Mr. Lewis, dad? You were good friends."

Mr. Stark smiled. "It's a long story, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one thinking this way. I'm pretty sure he has a reason to want to strike a deal with us. That's why you'll make it happen, Hunter. He might not know that I'll easily accept, so do a good job."

"I'll be meeting an old friend, dad. One who's now an enemy."

"That's why you can make it happen. That's why I made sure the two of you meet for it. Work it out. For the company's sake."

Hunter nodded. "Next tomorrow, then."

Hunter shook his head in anger at the man he came to meet. "What on earth are you yammering about?"The man gulped, let out a breath, and nodded. "Dos niñas. Vinieron aquí. Nos estaban mirando. Los enviaste? (Two girls. They came here. They were watching us. You sent them?)"Hunter shook his head in confusion. "No, no lo hice.(No I didn't.)""Creo que estaban investigando. (I think they were investigating us.)"Hunter furrowed his brows wondering about his statements. He wondered who, and somehow he got a thought. It was random cause he wasn't sure, then he brought his phone out, did something with it, and show it to the man. "¿Esta chica es una de ellas? (Is this one of them?)"The man immediately nodded. "Si. Si. Ella estaba. (Yes. Yes. She was.)"Hunter sighed. "Hmm. Okay. So, cuantas pruebas tienes? (So, how much evidence have you gotten?)""Todavía no he visto a tu padre, pero... "What did you get from your mom?" Emily asked curiously.Kara looked at her. "Did you know Layla was pregnant?"Emily furrowed her brows in obvious shock and shook her head. "No single idea, and she wasn't showing any symptoms."Kara sighed. "Well, she was. And whoever killed her knows.""They took the fetus?" Emily asked in disbelief and with a frown of disgust written on her face."Believe me, I was as disgusted as you," Kara told her.Zoey sighed. "I just...I just can't believe it. Layla just died."Kara looked at her. "Well, you better. We just need to find who murdered her.""To use to boost yourself at work, or because she was a friend?" Emily asked.Kara looked at her. "A friend she was indeed. Somehow, whatever got her dead, she was responsible."Emily looked away noticing her sarcasm about the friend part. "Well, she was my friend. I need to help.""Just do your thing, Em. Just don't go kill yourself." Kara retorted in a warning gaze."This isn't a joke, Kara!" Emily attacked

"What if they find it, and find her, Ava?" Ken asked, worry laced in his voice.Ava shook her head. "They won't. It'll be hard to detect in her body.""But they'll feel it."Ava nodded. "They'll feel it's close if a searcher is used, but what they don't know is the inhabitor is not just any human. She's half among the dead, and half among the living, and it can only be found in her as a phantom."Ken blinked. "So, you mean it can only be clearly detected when she's a ghost?"Ava nodded again. "Yeah, Ken. If they have rights over the other side, then they can get her there. Luckily, it'll take time for them to realize that, and begin to figure out a way to get her to the other side, cause you can't kill what is already dead."Ken sighed. "I just...I still don't get it. How did she live?""I can only say she was split, but the story will be til when she comes. I told you I don't want to narrate it twice."...Emily looked at her roommate and sighed. What is happening?"She looked back at the eggs with looks of worry evident on her face. What's happening?...."Thank you so much, Draco. You saved those dragons."Draco looked at Trick and shook his head. "No, I didn't. I just postponed their hatching period until I find a way to do what you want."Trick smiled. "You believe it's possible, right?"Draco nodded. "With a lot of incantations, I should be able to reverse the curse Glenda made on her babies. The dragons will live, and work for you."Trick nodded. "Good, 'cause I gotta go." Then he left Draco with the eggs.Arriving at the gathering, he walked to sit in his seat after bowing to the king."Why so late, Trick?"
