"Mr. Marco," the bank manager called out.

Marco turned to see the manager stepping out from the counter.

"your balance is 100 million dollars, sir," he said as he bowed slightly.

Marco opened his mouth to say something when the sound of laughter stopped him, he looked behind him and a frown marred his face as he saw Dahlia and the man she came with laughing.

They couldn't contain their laughter as they remembered just the day before when Marco was just a struggling student with only 100 dollars to his name.

"You must be joking," Dahlia exclaimed through her laughter.  She turned to Marco with a look of disdain on her face."Yesterday, you were just a loser who made a living by washing dirty clothes at the university."

Marco shrugged but said nothing. He didn't deem them fit to offer any explanation.

The manager went back to his office muttering something along the lines of, "I need to check something." leaving Marco to his tormentors.

As Dahlia and her companion approached the counter, Marco couldn't help but notice the man's confident swagger and the expensive suit he was wearing.

For a second, he felt something hot against his chest. something he recognized as envy as he stared at the man who was capable enough to take Marco's girl away from him.

Without warning, the man reached into his pocket and pulled out a sleek black card, handing it to the manager. As he examined the card, his expression changed from curiosity to reverence.

This was no ordinary card, it was a black card, issued only to those who had a balance of 200 million dollars or more in their account.

The man smiled as he saw the recognition on the staff's faces. He knew that this card would open doors for him, and he reveled in the newfound respect and deference that was being shown to him.

The tellers couldn't believe their eyes, they had never seen one of these cards before, only heard of it in rumors.

They knew that this man must be incredibly wealthy, or at least have wealthy family members. They turned to the man, eager to attend to him.

"See? Marco? that's what a wealthy man looks like, you are nothing but a church rat." Dahlia said in a snobby tone.

she linked her arm around the man's as they laughed at Marco.

The bank staff was shocked and confused. They couldn't understand Dahlia's words.

They whispered amongst themselves as they stared at Marco making him feel even smaller.

As their expressions changed from curious to concerned. The man and Dahlia who are still waiting for God knows what couldn't help but take notice and sneered, "Looks like your little scheme is finally catching up to you, Marco," she said with a hint of malice in their voices.

"Shut up Dahlia!" Marco said firmly.

Dahlia placed her hand on her chest in a dramatic gesture as she blinked at him.

"you must, how dare you talk to me that way?" She shrieked.

Marco kept mute, he didn't want to start any drama inside the establishment but Dahlia kept provoking him with derogatory words.

"you think coming inside a bank gives you the right to snap at me?" she asked.

"try it again and watch my man kick your ass." she spat.

The words twisted Marco's heart as he heard them. he had hoped that it wasn't official but it looks like Dahlia has been taken by someone else with more money and class than he had.

"filthy" the man spat, supporting Dahlia.

the bank tellers looked at Marco with pity in their eyes as they watched the two bully him, they felt sad that he had to keep quiet and listen to the insults being thrown at him.

Marco, who had been patiently waiting for news of his account, felt his blood boil with anger. How dare they insult him again, after everything he had been through. He clenched his fists, trying to hold back his fury.

"pathetic," Dahlia whispered.

That broke Marco, he was anything but pathetic and he had the 100 million dollars in his account to prove it.

He opened his mouth to respond when he suddenly flinched, the door of the manager's office opened and the manager stepped out.

His once-friendly face had transformed from helpful to serious and concerned. Marco could sense something was off, and he couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled in the pit of his stomach.

The man and Dahlia, who had been standing nearby, couldn't help but sneer at Marco as they noticed the staff's change in demeanor. "Looks like your luck has run out, loser," the man sneered. "I guess 100 million dollars was too good to be true," he said as he flashed his black card.

Dahlia, who had been relatively silent until now, chimed in. "Looks like you're back to being a poor, dirty clothes washer at the university," she laughed.

"Mr. Marco, it appears that there is a problem with your account," the manager said, his tone grave.

The man and Dahlia couldn't help but burst out in laughter at the revelation. "Looks like the fraud is finally being exposed," they said, enjoying the sight of Marco's discomfort.

Marco could feel his anger reaching a boiling point. He couldn't believe that these people, who had no idea of his struggles, could think so little of him. He wanted to shout and scream, to make them understand that he was not a fraud, but he knew that it would be futile.

They already made up their minds about him and there was nothing he could do about it.

Marco looked at the tellers and they all glared at him like some kind of fraud.

The manager, noticing Marco's distress, placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "Please come with me to my office, we will sort this out together." Marco followed the manager, still seething with anger, but also feeling a sense of hope that he might be able to clear the issue.
