The Traveler

Early in the morning when the sun began to come out of hiding on the eastern horizon, a young man appeared to enter the Black Mist Village. This young man was ordinary, even too thin for his age but he looked cheerful walking into the village wearing only worn-out shoes. This young man who looks in tatters but always smiles brightly is called Candaka.

Candaka stopped at a food stall in the village. "Hello friends, I'm looking for my uncle named Syailendra. Does anyone know where he lives?” he asked all the villagers.

All the residents smiled at him but no one answered his question. They returned to their respective activities.

Candaka then sat in a corner ordering food. "Beautiful, what's the special menu here," he asked the waiter who offered food.

“Dragon Soup, my dear,” answered the beautiful maid as she poured tea into Candaka's empty cup

"Yes, I ordered dragon soup," he continued

Candaka looked around him. His attention was drawn to a middle-aged man who was sitting alone enjoying his tea.

"You can only drink Handsome tea here, so there's no coffee or wine," replied the waiter while bringing the bowl of soup he ordered earlier.

"Whose corner is that, if I may know," asked Candaka

“Oh, it's an elder here. Don't get too close, he's a weirdo. There are often stories of the heyday of this village when Dragons still guarded the security of this village.”

Candaka didn't care about the waiter's advice. Slowly he approached the man who was dressed mediocre. Can I sit here, Uncle?" Asked Candaka politely.

The man nodded but his eyes did not look at Candaka in the slightest. His eyes were instead directed outwards with wary eyes.

Sure enough, not long after, 2 big men entered and immediately approached the table where Candaka was

"Hey blind man, you are called boss!!!" shouted one of the men.

"If your boss needs me, tell him to meet me directly. Don't send useless geeks like you who usually disturb the peace of this village," replied the man who was called a blind man by the big man earlier.

At first glance it doesn't seem that the strange man is a blind man because his eyes are still like normal human eyes which still have black eyeballs. No one knows the origin of this blind man. As far as the villagers knew, this man had been in this village long before they occupied this village. That was what made him the elder of this Black Mist village.

"You are acting!!!" exclaimed the big man while his hand grabbed the blind man's shirt to drag him down from his bench.

But what happened was beyond expectations. The blind man did not budge, as if petrified into one with the earth. The big body's friend tried to help his friend pull the blind man by force but still didn't work. "Damn, why is this old man's body heavy," he shouted.

When the blind man got up from his seat, at that moment the 2 big men bounced out of the dining area. "Braaakkk!" the supporting fence was broken by the bodies of the 2 big men earlier.

"Sorry for the damage, I'll replace it later," said the blind man to the restaurant owner.

Candaka, who had been silent, immediately got up and followed the blind man who also left the dining area.

"Uncle, can I talk to you for a minute?" panting Candaka following the blind man earlier even though the blind man was just walking casually.

“There is nothing to talk about young man. It's getting late, you should immediately find an inn. The night in this village is very unfriendly especially for newcomers!”

The blind man passed without the chance for Candaka to know his true identity. Candaka was familiar with the jutsu that the blind man had just made. That move had always appeared in his dreams lately. In a dream, he is a powerful warrior who defends the truth, who has powerful moves that were unimaginable to him before. That dream also led him to the Black Mist Village to find out the meaning of his dream.
