Logan whistled as he walked out of the hospital, feeling rather elated.
Finally, he managed to teach that idiot a lesson. He was sure he was never going to know he was the cause of all that had happened to him, and that made him feel even better. As for the matter of the medical plan, he wasn't sure if he would be able to do anything about it. He would have no other choice but to come up with a new one. Well, this shouldn't pose any problems to him now, right? He had ancient medical knowledge, and his skills could be rivaled by none. As long as he practiced enough, it was only a matter of time before he would rise to the top. Thinking about this, Logan took in a deep breath and pushed the matter to the back of his mind. First, he had to get home to his mother and see how she was doing. Then, he would plan what the next thing was. “Isn't there anyone who knows how to swim here?” a loud yell came, pulling Logan back to his senses. “Someone please help, or he will drown!” the voice yelled again, and Logan turned in the direction of the voice. At the other side of the road, a crowd was gathered, pointing and watching something. A young woman stood at the center of the crowd, yelling, asking if there was anyone who knew how to swim. Seeing this, Logan frowned slightly and moved closer to the crowd. Getting there, he froze slightly at the sight before him. Just right beneath was a flowing river. Splashes were seen; a small figure struggled to swim, but to no avail. At a glance, one could tell the figure couldn't swim. No matter how much he struggled, he kept drinking the water in big mouthful gulps, and it was evident he would drown soon. “Someone please help!” the young woman screamed again, her eyes darting amongst the crowd, panic written all over them. But no one dared to step forward; it was as though they were all afraid of something. “I think it would be best if you just go ahead and prepare for his funeral!” one of the onlookers muttered, and the rest nodded, all agreeing with themselves. “Even if he's able to hold on for someone to come rescue him, the crocodiles in the water wouldn't wait for him,” another person added, and the rest nodded. “Just pray his body doesn't get eaten, but I don't think he would be able to survive it!” “Yes, you should go and prepare for his funeral!” Hearing the conversation, the woman's expression changed, panic written all over her face. As she shivered, her legs shook. Logan's expression also changed. From the looks of it, the figure was a little boy. As for how the boy had fallen into the river, he couldn't care less about that. Also, the boy seemed to be losing his grip and was already drowning. Even if the crocodiles didn't get to him, he wasn't going to make it before help came. Thinking about this, Logan moved closer to the river and, without a second thought, dived in. “Hey, what are you doing?” “Even if you know how to swim, you might not be able to save the boy!” The onlookers yelled from behind, but all went past Logan as he had already dived into the river. Swimming as fast as he could, Logan soon reached the little boy, who had already fainted due to the large amount of water he ingested. Without a word, Logan grabbed the boy and swam back to the bank of the river. Pulling the boy, who was only about ten years old, out of the river, Logan quickly laid the boy on the floor, then pressed gently on the boy’s chest. “Cough!” Soon enough, the boy coughed out water, waking up almost instantly. “Yay!” At the same time, cheers erupted from the crowd as they clapped. “Edwin!” The young woman also ran forward, quickly hugging the little boy. Vroom! Rows of cars suddenly arrived at the scene. Men dressed in black suits rushed out of the cars, followed by an old man with a walking stick, hurrying over. Seeing this, the crowd hurriedly made way, not daring to say a word. “Scarlett,” the old man called as he rushed towards the young woman, panic written all over his face. “Father,” the lady called and quickly stood up, rushing towards the old man and hugging him, bursting into tears in his arms. “Father... father, I'm... I'm sorry, I nearly let Edwin die...” Scarlett sobbed as she managed to say. “It's fine, Scarlett; at least he's fine now,” the old man muttered gently, patting the lady's back. “Yes, Father, someone stepped in and rescued him at the last minute,” Scarlett nodded, raising her head and turning to Logan’s direction. “Escort her to the car,” the old man commanded, then walked towards Logan. “Young man, thank you for saving my grandson; please accept my bow,” the old man said, bowing low to Logan the moment he got to him. “There's no need for that; I just couldn't stand and watch him drown,” Logan panicked, seeing this, and quickly helped the old man up. “To thank you properly, here's five million dollars; please accept it from me,” the old man didn't give up and immediately pulled out a bank card from his breast pocket, offering it to Logan. “There's no need for that. I didn't save him 'cause of the money, so it's fine,” Logan shook his head, rejecting the bank card. At the moment, the crowd's faces were green with envy. Who in their right minds would reject this? The old man frowned slightly, observing Logan. The latter seemed to be cheaply dressed, yet he didn't accept the money from him. Could it be that he wanted more? After all, he knew how wicked the heart of the human was. As the patriarch of a powerful family, he had seen the ills of the world, so he assumed Logan wasn't satisfied and wanted more. Thinking like this, he placed his hands into his pockets and brought out another card. “Young man, here's another card; it contains ten million. With this card, that's fifteen million. Please accept it as a token of appreciation from me!” the old man offered, his words sounding like a clap of thunder in the ears of the onlookers.Latest Chapter

Hearing this, Bruce's expression brightened and he quickly explained the situation.Hearing this, Logan frowned slightly shaking his head. Seemed like whatever the other party wanted, they couldn't wait anymore."Alright, first, let's start with your daughter and grandson," Logan stated pushing open the doors of the villa.Though the curse was more important, treating Scarlett and Edwin would be far better. Both of them had been injured and if he wanted to deal with the curse first, it would take some time.Though he would be able to treat them afterwards even if their best treatment window had passed, what if they died before them. The curse aim was to kill. So it was better to treat them first."Treat Scarlett and Edwin?" Bruce froze hearing Logan's words."Yes of course," Logan nodded, glancing at the old man."Or don't you want them treated?" He raised his brows,"I...""Here..." Logan couldn't be bothered to argue with the old man and threw him his ID.Seeing it, Bruce's eyes wid

Logan on the other hand also couldn't care less. He had a whole lot of other things he had to do. There was no way he would care about someone. Especially since the other party didn't seem to believe him. Also, there was no need to fume over it.Pushing all of these to the back of his mind. Logan stopped a cab and headed back home.In no time, hours passed and soon, the sun set.
